Politics / Re: The New Nigeria Under President Tinubu, By Fredrick Nwabufo by ecolime(m): 10:16am On Jan 05 |
Among those, who visited the President were governors, political leaders, business figures, and a whole gamut of Nigerians. Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, one of the governors who visited, said after a meeting: “One thing is that he has a very courageous, unifying policy; the exchange rate and then removing subsidy, which actually had become a scam and costing us a lot of money. Those policies are good but then they come with the negative sides. They come with challenges for an economy where over 60 percent of the population is living below the poverty line. |

pweeryambre:So, development must stop because Abuja is "more developed" than any other state? N50Bn is too poor for any state in Nigeria talkless of Abuja. You may Google the capital expenditure budget of states in other comparable countries to get a better perspective of how poor and broke we are. Also note that maintenance of old infrastructure requires money too. What we should monitor is if the funds are well utilized or looted. 19 Likes 1 Share |

NYSC / Re: Mobilisation: How Undercover Reporter Breached Our System To Enrol Twice – NYSC by ecolime(m): 3:47pm On Jan 04 |
Though Megwa said the use of the National Identification Number, NIN, was incorporated into the scheme three years ago, he was unable to explain why the differences in the reporter’s biodata in NIN and what the reporter put in for his second mobilisation were not enough to raise a flag for the scheme to detect him. I knew they were gonna come for the guy's head and make it look like some sort of data breach. It is not a crime to have multiple emails or phone numbers. The main problem is that your platform accepted the same NIN twice. If the guy used a different name and also a fake date of birth then you can prosecute him for data manipulation. Email/Phone number is not a standard means of verifying one's biodata. The NIN & Biometrics you are taking are not used as expected. Fix your system Oga. 7 Likes |

Rabiu na the only real Dollar billionaire from Naija. He does business ethically as well. I remember arguing with someone last year when he said Dangote refinery will be operational latest May 2023 and will sell fuel at N150/Litre instead of N180. Folks, that refinery will not refine a single litre of PMS until the market price hits N1,000 plus. That's when he will start producing. I read where they said their catalytic unit for Diesel is ready but Petrol unit will take a while. He knows what he is doing 107 Likes 14 Shares |

I'm sure most of these universities operate from a 3 Bedroom apartment. Room 1: Vice-chancellor Room 2: Lecturers Room 3: Non teaching staff If you need MSc or PHD certificate before next weekend, dem go run am for you. Na real cash cow, just buy a good printing machine to mill out certificates and you are good to go. 70 Likes 6 Shares |
Politics / Re: Rising Insecurity: Governors Have Turned Security Votes To Pocket Money - Ngige by ecolime(m): 11:40am On Jan 04 |
Spot on! It's about time we hold our governors and local officials accountable. Turning security votes into pocket money is one of the main reasons we have insecurities in the country. The next issue is lack of state Police. Governors should fully be the CSOs of their states and this is not just by mouth. The benefits outweighs the potential abuse. 5 Likes |

Na like this LP & PDP wan form coalition? APC is the only party in Nigeria. No serious opposition at all. They fought themselves before election, they are still fighting till now. I'm sure Tinubu has his 2027 election victory speech and 2031 handover note written already. 50 Likes 7 Shares |

Peace in Rivers state is all we want. SIM fought too soon. You don't attempt to shed yourself off your godfather after just 3 months in power. Who does that? He suppose calm down, strategize and get key players on his side first. Politics na smart game, not war, not gra-gra or Nzogbu Nzogbu. Father and son have shealt their swords but definitely, there will be a big re-election fight in 2026 if the current "fake" calmness last till then. For now, na to first cross the supreme court judgement hurdle. We are yet to see the last of this movie. 39 Likes |
