Update!!! The ETC will not do us much good as its only valid for a one way travel Sorry, I had to quote you Kaad! I really am not sure how to make a new post on this thread. I need help regarding ETC (emergency travel certificate) or what's it called?) Let me explain my dilemma ; I'm looking to bring my children aged 3 a d 5y/o to the UK. They now have their visa. I planned my mother in-law would bring them (she was also granted visa) Then the issue of my mother in law not been allowed through immigration arose as acquaintances told stories of people not allowed to bring others' children irrespective of relationship, other than being real parents (due to trafficking) Now, my hubby planned on travelling down to naija to avoid stories that touch But DVLA has his int'l passport. Luckily for us, he submitted his old BRP during the application and now has his new and valid BRP (old BRP still needs to be returned to Ukvi whenever dvla pleases to return it) My main questions as per our options are; 1.How feasible is getting the ETC and travelling with it? 2.Will be my mother in law be allowed to bring my children with regards to immigration? All the elders in the house, I'll appreciate your input through knowledge and recent experience. TIA |

Healhtyliving: Yes I was offered one when I opened a current account with HSBC with a credit limit of £2k5. The current account also came with an OD of £3k. I was barely 2wks in UK when the account was opened. Same here. I was offered a £500 CC when I started banking with them but I refused out of fear/not understanding the way CC works. After I had gathered info on this platform and from others, I went back, applied and was offered a £2k CC and £4k OD. |

Blessingkwazie: please I am still waiting for a reply on this The time frame spans between 3-6months or more, it largely depends on you. Also, I do not know of any class for CBT but there are loads of materials across various groups and some Recruiting Agents will provide you some. First things first, concentrate and smash your IELTS, then you can comfortably approach recruiters/cbt groups for materials. All the best! |

Gonna book another in three days but I just don’t know where I went wrong cos I tried hard not to click too many times in the hazard perception part. Any tips to help me prepare better please ? I feel so sad. I guess you were being too careful and I can relate with how you feel cos I experienced it when I failed my first theory test by one score. Try and and get any of the afore listed apps/cds and practice again. You will be fine dear.... |

LagosismyHome: I can't say for sure because I no longer renting but check on Google states landlord shouldn't charge for that....
that been said looks like government is quietly trying to kill the buy to let market with all these changes making it not so attractive. Because if landlord cant charge you this solicitor fees , it then needs to be paid by the landlord Thank you, I actually read that it should not be borne by the tenant, I just needed confirmation. I know it's bad for the LL's business but it is the law. I have moved on from this house, I'll definitely find loads other. |

LagosismyHome: The payment is usually security deposit plus first month rent . I dont think they take first month rent from there. It usually separate as its held to be returned when you move out depending on any minus for damages Thanks for responding ma, I actually quoted the first paragraph (but wrongly) from an earlier discussion on this thread. My actual question is it ideal for the tenant to bear the Solicitor fee? This is a private landlord whom we will pay rent and deposit to? |

.This Security deposit house agents ask for in the process of renting a house, will they take our 1st Month rent from there?
Good evening good people and compliments of the season! So, I'm looking to move house which I'm not finding funny (relocating from NI to Manchester, new job ). I managed to get a flat-share. Now LL is asking for a Solicitor fee £80 to draft tenancy agreement and other paperwork. I read on this thread about permitted fees when renting in England (something like that) and this was not included, or, are private LLs exempted? Please help with responses, thank you.

vickyehi: The Texas BON registeration for Nurses not residing in the USA is a paper application and not online.
You would have to download the forms then have someone purchase a money order for you. You would then post the forma and money order by mail to the BON.
You can register for the jurisprudence exam online once the board has gotten your full application. Thanks dear |

FameG: Hi all. Please the recruitment agency i contacted is trying to offer me options in care homes, claiming NHS isn't giving them slots for now. Do you think i should try another agency or i should go along with the care home offer?
IYIMAN, Incredible, barbie, exactly and every other person with experience. Care Home/Hospital choice is entirely up to yourself. It depends on what you want. Some people will say there are coming to the UK for experience hence they go to hospitals while others will say the are after the money, then opt for care homes. Generally speaking, working conditions in hospitals are more favorable. So, I am putting it to you- what's your choice? |

shndy: Thanks for your prompt response! BTW what's DL? How long can one work as a pre-registered nurse? The osce can be taken anytime? No time frame? It's kinda expensive It's Decision Letter, the NMC UK gives you this as an authorisation to take the OSCE after meeting their requirements |
Travel › Re: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by ecstacy29: 12:12pm On Jul 16, 2019 |
shndy: Who has gone through the osce successfully please? For an unknown reason, the thought alone scares me hahaha. I heard it's difficult to pass if one isn't properly integrated into the uk Healthcare system before taking the exam? I also heard that once u pass the cbt, an employer can give u a letter of appointment, u can start work and sit for the osce later. Is this true please? Thanks. The OSCE is nothing to be scared of, as most of the times, your employer will arrange an OSCE training for you. Moreover, we were all nurses before coming to the UK, the OSCE is just a way to ensure that the UK standards are met! And it's true that you can get a letter of employment after passing your CBT especially if you have your DL, which means you can be booked for OSCE soon after arrival. You will start working as a pre-registered nurse until you take the OSCE |

The only thing you have to do now is go to the post office and buy a self address special delivery envelope for £7.40. This is after you have completed the online forms and paid 130 dollars. After completing the online form and you are validated. You will will get a date to go and do data capture. Yippee... Happy days! |
