Islam should preach and practice true peace and tolerance. Shun terrorism to make this world a safe, better place. |
If igbinedion and his stooge Ize-iyamu think they can force themselves on Edo, they have failed. And their efforts will continue to be thwarted. |
TheDEVlLHimseIf:He's saying that you didn't make sense. |
emeijeh:I'm in Benin. That puts me in a position to authoritatively assert that the worst Oshiomhole is far better than the best Igbinedion. I am in no doubt that you share this same view with me, though secretly. Same way you're going to secretly vote for Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki this Saturday after enjoying the PDP mobilization money. Who doesn't love good governance? ![]() |

SamuelAnyawu:They are his chief backers, godfathers and sponsors. Ize-iyamu has been with the igbinedions for years. They brought him up with the stealing, thuggery legacy. Edo people can never make the mistake of having another igbinedion, anenih or their stooge at Osadebey Avenue. Obaseki is the right man for Edo State. He is not a politician. He's an experienced wealth creator and finance manager--just what we need at this moment. |
September 10 will hit the final nail on the PDP coffin. Edo people cannot go back to the retrogressive era of the igbinedions and their cleptomaniac allies. We are too wise and advanced for that. In this period of PDP-induced economic recession, the last thing we need as governor is a politician who knows nothing than how to service the deep pockets of igbinedion, Anenih and a host of brigands with the meager resources of our beloved state. A vote for Godwin Obaseki is a vote against Thiefs (Lucky) Igbinedion and Tony Anenih. emeijeh: |
It's Namibia. Not Kenya. |
tolugar:Abeg help ask WAEC ![]() |
This looks good. It's better to be distinct for clearer identity. Not the usual coat of arms adopted by most states. |
pdppower:May the good Lord comfort and strengthen you sir! |
evansjeff:True talk. The days of PDP impunity and rascality are over in Edo state. No going back to PDP backwardness. |
johnkeni:He's still the DG NIMASA Same with Ms Bala Usman, DG NPA and board member. |
Nbote:He's a terrorist. He's not different from shekau and other islamofacists. He just hasn't found a bomb to commit mass murder and fulfil his Islamic mission. You can imagine how many people this moslem has killed with his trailer on the highways with reckless abandon. |
LOL. Real funny |
diablos:Just when I thought it's only your hope that is dead. Unlike you, I'm very much alive...and making exploits. |
LORDOFAFONJAS:Be an incurable optimist. |
LORDOFAFONJAS:We shall overcome. |
We are not afraid, we are not timid, we will fight whatever political battle required in making sure that never again in the life of our state, in the life of our people, the way we have political bandit come and steal from us.We reject PDP in Edo state. We know what they stand for! |
The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party, Mr Godwin Obaseki, has assured that traditional rulers would play key role in his government when elected into office in the forthcoming September 10 gubernatorial poll in Edo. The APC governorship candidate stated this when he visited traditional rulers of both Ugbegun and Opoji, near Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area of the state. Obaseki said his government would solicit a strong partnership with the traditional institution because his government, when elected, would primarily be based on attracting investment to rural communities. While noting that the investments will be in the areas of agriculture, mining and other small scale industries, he said being the custodians of their communities, the traditional rulers are expected to partner with the government to ensure safety of these investments. He said, “For me, the progress of the entire state is what I am about. I want to assure you that Oshiomhole has laid a solid foundation and our role is now to build on that solid foundation. It is a foundation that can carry skyscrapers and we understand the design, we understand where the pillars and column are and what the structure can hold. “We are not afraid, we are not timid, we will fight whatever political battle required in making sure that never again in the life of our state, in the life of our people, the way we have political bandit come and steal from us. “We are going to redefine the politics of Edo State. We have started doing that already. Like I have said, the next phase of our lives is one that is going to be driven without oil, so certainly we have no choice. “The politics of oil has come to an end; we are now going into an era where we would have to imbue the tenets of the politics of development. The politics of development now require us to look inward and use our resources to our own development and to the development of our own people. “In this new phase, we will forge very close relationship with our traditional institution because we would be attracting investors and investments into our various communities. “So our presence here today is to reassure you that the next phase we are going into, we will be permanent features in almost all palaces across the state, seeking for cooperation, seeking your trust so that when we bring people into your domain to come and undertake economic activities, they will get your support.” The clan heads of Opoji and Ogbegun, Aidonoje Ehidiamen and Samuel Obade respectively, expressed their willingness to partner with the government, to safe guard investment that will improve on the economy and well-being of their subjects. https://www.today.ng/politics/170795/edo-guber-traditional-rulers-play-key-role-govt-obaseki

Alphaoscar:For PDP, it has been one spurious allegation or the other since campaign began. They have no good legacy to campaign on. |
And, let no moslem tell me that Boko haram, ISIS and other terror groups that Islam has littered the world with are not Muslims. That's a stale, redundant cliché. Mohammed yusuf was a moslem. |
Gozzzy:Indeed! The report didn't state where she said she's Igbo. She only spoke about coming from southern part of the country, which could Yoruba, Edo, Delta or anywhere else. Her origin is inconsequential. The point here is her religion (Islam) which promotes violence and thrives on bloodbath. Stories of people converting to Islam to join terror groups further lay credence to the fact that Islamic ideology is violent. |
Leobrain:You don't ban movies but mediocrity. |
The media, its mediocre handlers, their proclivity to brown envelopes, and their fixation on sensationalism and panic. |
This is quite unfortunate. God rest his soul. |
This info is helpful. |
Muslims are like a football team. The radicals/ terrorists are the strikers. The Extremists are midfielders who feed the radicals. The defenders are the moderate muslims who create diversions, deflect, defend and save islam from legitimate criticism and any accusations. They work as a team though they create a perception that the defenders have nothing to do with the strikers. The liberals are like the goalies who jump in when the situation's gets worse with statements like isl@m is a peaceful religion etc. |
bejeiodus:You're not arguing that these treacherous boneheads were the APC's nominees for the National Assembly leadership, are you? What party ensured their emergence, and what party make up the core of Saraki/Ekweremadu/Dogara defenders in and out of the parliament? |
Any wonder why Dogara, Saraki and their cohorts are incurably corrupt, and why they were foisted on Nigerians by the PDP? To think that any sane Nigerian will support these reprobate elements who blatantly disregard our collective interest solely to satisfy their atavistic megalomania is the height of bewilderment. |
If you think this report is true, I might as well sell some bridges for you in zamfara. |
So can Fayose do the honourable thing, now that he has admitted guilt on corruption allegation? What a country we're in! |
