I had a terrible one about Osibanjo and Aso Rock about two weeks ago, which I'm not ready to share. Like a poster said above, Nigerians never take anything serious until it overwhelms them. Nairaland has been relegated to PDP, APC, wailers, IPOB, Afonja and zombie trivialities where you voice your opinion outside the box at your own peril. Some people are in for a rude shock. |
doctokwus:My thoughts exactly. And the service chiefs need to be replaced ASAP. Especially the Army, DSS Customs and even police. They're becoming too complacent...and powerful. Anything besides those points is indeed useless. Though Buhari seems like one who is eager to relinquish power for Nigeria to move on... if he had a will of his own |
Nigerian census figures have always been fraudulent from day one. Blue3k:Nothing is ever done rightly. Added to the lameduck savages up north, this country is grossly dysfunctional. |
dingbang:That's true. Savagery, not hunger, is the main cause. |
CuteEmma:Rather, your response should be: "Northern Nigeria...what a place!" Cos such madness are much common in the moslem infested north. When they're not bombing themselves, you will see them marrying children and the elites arresting the peasants that dared to criticise them. |
Granted, the police could be under pressure from influential individuals that apparently have interest in the case. But I never took the sensational headlines on his purported disappearance seriously. |
The same fight that he couldn't win when he was hale and hearty? How do you expect Buhari to do that now that he's as good as dead? Just so the AU knows, Buhari epitomises corruption. Cronyism, cabalistic rule, nepotism, sectarianism have been the guiding principles of his administration from inception. Those are the worst form of corruption because only a segment of privileged individuals exploit the nation's commonwealth for their own advantage. |
If Donald J. Trump has only one supporter in the whole world, I am that supporter. Trump is a pragmatic realist, a maverick and no puppet of the radical left wing global fascists. Every lover of freedom (of thought, opinion, conscience and religion) support Trump, except of course, the radical islamists and their global ultra-liberal fascist ideologue friends - both of which portray textbook definition of intolerance in today's world. PS: I have been a fan of Donald Trump, years before he started expressing his political opinions. Considering the fact that he is a very popular brand that never keeps his opinion to himself. Therefore, Trump's support base should not be reduced to anti islamists and Ipobian trolls. |
The DMO needs to enact laws to impose legal limits on states borrowings. Heck! some states are becoming bankrupt with huge, unservicible debts (if not already). Yet they keep borrowing. |
Congrats to them. But the entire Buhari cabinet need to be sacked or at least reshuffled. Nigerians are fed-up with clowns like Dalong and Lai Mohammed. |
Acidosis:No, we don't. But such a ridiculous judgement and the fact that the court granted all the prayer of the Saraki is enough to raise eyebrows and question the integrity of the court. What's worse, Saraki is the defacto landlord of Ilorin/Kwara where the courts operate as nothing more than his tribunals. |
I can relate. Don't even give it a thought. Put yourself in her husband's shoes, and remember that what goes around comes around. What's wrong is wrong. These married old friends don't ever think of consequences when they start making those crazy and opprobrious pleas. You get to realise their level of daredevil doggedness when they want to cheat on their husband. When it came to that, I stopped picking her calls and ended all chats. |
TheKingdom:Islam is a subjugating political religion. That is why a Dauda in Ibadan will show and pay more allegiance and obeisance to the Sokoto caliphate and its Sultan than he does to his Olubadan and his Yoruba heritage. Yet this sultan is neither mohammad nor a prophet - just a traditional ruler in faraway Sokoto. |
When will they declare an end to terrorism? |
The 8th NASS has arrogated too much powers to itself - all for self aggrandizements and not for the people whom it is supposedly representing. The NASS is a too expensive, unnecessary evil that the country can do a whole lot without. |
No one is sure if he was forced to resign (which is a subtle way of sacking people). But it is interesting to know that this country still has some politicians that have honour. |
Papiikush:Last time I checked, bayelsa is not in Igbo territory. |
As long as Nigerian politics is driven by ethnic and religious sentiments, the people will always be manipulated, misled and defrauded. This is the bane of Nigeria. |
simpul:The guy doesn't seem to have anything to lose. His greatest dream, obviously, was to be called a senator... Judging by his manner of behavior since he became one. |
The confab report should be revisited. It may not contain all the answers to Nigeria's problems, but its implementation would be a step towards the right direction. |
Nigerian Christians should be vigilant, irrespective of political party affiliation. We must unite and resist every subtle islamization policy of this sectarian government. We must do this for the sake of posterity if we hope to have an identity, land and heritage that we can bequeath to unborn generations. They started with Usman Dan Fodio, then Boko Haram; They have unleashed their marauding herdsmen on our communities, cities and farmlands. And now they have instituted their religion and the language, history and culture that bolters it (Arabic) on our education curriculum. Yet we still have some self-righteous, delusional Southerners who see nothing wrong with this. |
CROWNWEALTH019:Says all established facts on ground, based on the antecedents of both parties. |
CROWNWEALTH019:Your conclusion is based strictly on sentiments. The type that obstructs sound judgement. |
Damage control. How can someone that is not conscious of his environment have the will to reject files? I bet he would mistake any file for korans. |
NwaAmaikpe:You can add to your wonder what would have happened if Goodluck had won the last election. And, add Ojukwu's probable presidency to your wild imagination. @OP: Hamza Al Mustapha may be making some outrageous claims and allegations which are too intriguing for the layman to believe. But betrayal, opportunism, and complicity on the part of some of his treacherous kinsman cannot be totally ruled out from the events that lead to Abiola's death. No testimony is more credible than that of a prominent insider. |
To answer your question, YES! The reasons are not far fetched. |
hopefulLandlord:Sometimes one wonders if some of you earn a living from doubting everything. |
Must everyone be called an elder statesman? That aboki emir is too young and undeserving the title of an elder statesman. |
Viergeachar:Everything has to be ethnicized, mustn't it? |
shukuokukobambi:I did not expect kids like you to see beyond your nose or not delve into the very predictable vituperative tantrums that you find fulfilment in. Your eternal trolling on the cyberspace in a desperate search for abokii acceptance has robbed you off intellectual curiosity. And like I earlier posited, you Schleps are up for a rude shock. You and the likes of Ogundamisi are a pack of worthless lowlife reprobates that the Yoruba race would all be better off without. Educating you on this subject-matter is an onerous, albeit futile, adventure that pays with a worthless coin. |
