Nah, na normal naija hyping. Nothing spectacular about that car, just get a Tacoma and you no go get problem. This 09 extended cab TRD does all the heavy lifting, has never slept in a mechanic workshop in a little over 6 years of continuous hustle on behalf of the family on naija roads.

Rozay no vex, you don pull fj cruiser before? Nothing stable for that ride. My cuz owns one and I drive it occasionally, nothing different between it and a tacoma. Very basic dash, cheap interior. Nothing extraordinary safety wise. It rides and turns like a big pile of wood on wheels

- will you help him wire the compressor clutch relay and weld his pipe/accumulator fittings? If his car had at least the M112 engine or any v6 for that matter, I'll gladly ask him to use a manual compressor.
He needs to use the automatic compressor from another donor 203, or at worse a 202 or an Audi B6 if he's going for a tokunbo.

You and I know Mercedes-Benz uses clutchless variable displacement A/C compressor on models such as the w203 and w211 and even most of their newer offerings. What is found on Clino's C230k is a clutch less variable displacement A/C compressor. So that is what he must replace with, if he doesn't want engine vibrations and momentary loss of power.

Only disadvantage with getting a toks compressor is the fact that a kazeem will not be able to check the operation of the A/C compressor clutch on such compressors because there isn’t one.

I still maintain that as long as he gets a working unit - he's good to go.

My guy, replace like for like. If you can afford brand new, contact Rad for a quote.
If you can't afford brand new automatic compressor, get a toks. While you are it, get a new condenser/dryer, expansion valve and Harp R134a to boot. Also, scan that car to be really sure the AC fault is purely mechanical and not one of those relays or fuses beneath your passenger side floor mat.

Baba, most persons on here make up their minds with regards to the way forward for their vehicle repairs before bringing the problem online. In his case, he's done due diligence and obviously knows by now that the Automatic is the way to go. Don't know how much power that M111 puts out and if it'll handle the demands of a manual compressor.

Since you are dealing with a Benz here,I'll advise you go the automatic way! Because when shiiit hits the fan with complications your ac technicians won't be there to help.

Even when it is not the right thing to do if it was Toyota i would have advised you into doing it. If you like you Benz, stick to the factory way sir.

Goodevening house. I use a 2004 C230k manual tranny. Checked with AC technicians (2-3 of them)and they all confirmed my AC compressor is spoilt. But they differ in the type of compressor that I should buy as replacement. One said I should by the automatic AC compressor the type that came with the car while the other 2 said I should buy the manual AC compressor.
Who has had experience changing the AC compressor in his or her W203 before, would you pls share your experience and advice me on how to go about changing the AC compressor
