Dangrace01:You go sell the IS rims? You fit comot the ones wer dey dat Chrysler 300 put am ![]() |
creamylicious:The Hitman's Bodyguard |
letusbepieces:Fvckng ethnic bigot. Yeah I just reported you, go fvck yourself.
|
Smartchoiice:Agreed. Won't say a thing on it anymore! #cyberpeace - W211 no longer mine to repair, kiddo sure knows how to wax a car.
|
radautoworks:Smartcho.iice now ![]()
|
Smartchoiice:I no like wetin you do. You discovered a goldmine and didn't tag men along? dannybrasky:Me i don leave una for cartalk for now. Officially on a one week sabbatical to explore other areas of nairaland. Tired of reading people's car problems, and engine codes. Lemme acquaint myself with other sections, I'll be back with a report next week Friday. Time to spend some time reading diaries and making new offline friends of the female variety |
dannybrasky:Oga use many monikers attack, instead of one sure striker. Oga doesn't understand what consent means (him no send simple yes or no according to Lagbaja). There is a lesson in here for others who may wish to toe this lonely line. |
Alfred74:Maynation will soon realise that Smartchoiice lives for this sort of exchanges. Nigqa loves negative attention and wahala - in his words, #cyberpeace should be abolished |
Uncle Danny I sight you, join the discussion biko, abeg support our multiple moniker wielding cartalk enthusiast.
|
maynation:Not his fault. He knows the inner workings of the M112/113 engines and those lazy 4 pot Peugeot engines. You can blame him all you want, but we don't have many women in this section - so shooting subtle shots at you na steady recipe for disaster, in fact we get only one Aunty for here and na steady area scatter iron lady. |
Smartchoiice:Please, please we are with the lady on this one. How can you be sneaking to diaries and romance without @ any of us? It's not cool, and to think that Seun considered making you a moderator in this section? Too bad! |
nurey:Same with the IS 350? Adeeva06 selling this car "as is" with full disclosure is your best bet. If you can find a trustworthy Mecho to rebuild that engine, good and fine. I can only recommend 3 persons who will fix it (seen proper threads on rebuilds from them, besides everybody rebuilds this type of motors) but I don't think any one of them is cheap and will work around your tight budget (given the current market price of that Gs and the amount you've spent in procuring, trucking, shipping and clearing it). Well, contact Radautoworks, Gazzuzz and Trygo If you decide to sell @ your purchase price and cut your losses - Pm me! |
nurey:If truly - that is she, he has our express permission to leave #cyberpeace and employ game theory with immediate effect.
|
maynation:Smartchoiice how far - You don leave cartalk and Autos dey toast babe for diaries abi na romance section? From the looks of it, you did a pretty bad job! |

rationalmind:Senior man, e mean say na you and your bank go gather settle that one, unto say you don drop us invoiced amount finish. ![]() |
rationalmind:On behalf of her and as the unofficial proponent of discounts, I hereby confirm. Our refunds policy is based on charge backs herrlekan:Well done bro, sorry for the lost items. |
herrlekan:Yeah, she's the only "dealership level" shop I'd ever patronise. Na good person she be - las las, na our strong head and wicked banter for nairaland dey make am dey fight sometimes. Ehen, It took you a long while but you finally arrived. Next time mention the money saving aspects before you proceed to write about the other aspects such as food and beer parlour, ambience/relaxation and the repair facility in that other. Well done. Abeg vex add pictures for the write-up. |
dannydevito:Which other review, you dey find? That particular model isn't very common in Nigeria but parts are readily available, and besides people who own money making and hustling trucks like this barely have time to read forums and write reviews. |

Make I book space, I dey come |
Smartchoiice:Dru is gender neutral, he cannot be confined to one pronoun. |
Smartchoiice:Add the Honda/Acura and you'll feel for my guy ![]() |
mammanbawa:Big man, even you sef go advise me to leave. I remember the day I called you when I had that shifter cable or na Transmission Range wahala some 8-9 months ago? Can you remind me what the issue was exactly? I've paid my dues, time to rest. Airtime to call people no go dey next year |
dannybrasky:Most persons don't know that if you don't change the brake pad with the brake pad sensors - the annoying "brake wear and tear" and "service brakes" message will never leave your dash. In short na matter of time before e disable ESP and ABS. Very useless engineering, i no wan mention TPMS sef, small things like this should not stop us Nigerians from enjoying our car, some of us can live comfortably with the SRS light on. |
HeavenlyBang:Which oyinbo G go sell luxury car wer him never rock well unless na repo? I've seen so much false reliability ratings being dished out by so many guys on NL who own Mercs that have very little electronics in them. Do you know that an alternator issue on a Benz is not very easy to detect in its early stage? It has to fail before STAR will be sure its an alternator, Battery control module or the Battery itself, if you're unlucky as I was - there's an auxiliary battery too. (although I kazeem that one with motorcycle battery, story for another day). |
dannybrasky:My brother I don suffer abeg no be small. E get time wer i dey change Autokaf/Tibao fuel pumps and filters every 2 months until i close eye order OEM VDO one time. Make I no even mention 4matic Wheel sensors - that nonsense can shut down ABS, ESP, Cruise Control and even your power steering sef, unless you be person wer no dey do long distance travel. You will need to get OEM Bosch/Hella. The genuine ones from Mercedes will send you back to the village. HeavenlyBang: HeavenlyBang:My brother find a way and get you a corolla/Sunny/Civic as a daily driver - you'll testify of the goodness of fuel economy. For a car that basically makes me no money, it sure takes a lot in the form of fueling. It takes between 11,300-11,700 to fill that 80 ltrs of the Merc. Never filled the M35, but it easily takes 10k fuel and deep down i know it will take some more. My brother I bought 7k fuel for that corolla last week Monday, i still have close to a quarter tank. City hustling movements never change. (I'll require almost twice that for the Merc or M35). GAZZUZZ:Baba, abeg I don tire to dey call una every month for troubleshooting. The true position is I drove my Benz, the way it was designed not as a city bird but what in real sense it is supposed to be. Averaged 900-1000km weekly highway and 150-200 within the city sometimes in that same week. So it actually opened me up to recurring repairs on wear and tear items like alternators, BCMs, coolant hoses and a lot other nonsense - my kazeem could actually predict what will break next. I made up my mind to dispose of it, the day I called you for tyre size alternatives i could use, after not finding the exact match. Lost two tyres due to Buhari's Federal roads, in one day - was so frustrated at the car and the fact that I couldn't find 18" tyres where I was stranded. |
johnseno:Thank you very much. This is a much better explanation, and I appreciate that. |
diportivo:Man wer sabi BamBamK:I was misguided and very young. Not anymore for Local man has paid the ultimate price in kazeem currency. |
BamBamK:Baba, I'm phasing out problems in the form of infiniti and Mercedes from my life this year. M35 has been sold at a loss (understandably why) although my cousin dey hold my balance based on say OBD2 port no gree connect - dem wan test fuses/relays and other kazeem extensions before him wire balance. Couldn't sell the E Class at a good enough rate so my younger brother has taken full ownership (if he has small sense, he'll find a way to sell it after Christmas and buy a Civic or City). Thanks to oluwaseunla and diportivo I'm currently roaming around with a corolla that gives zero worries and runs for 2 weeks on a full tank.
