Christianity Etc › Re: Do You Believe In Generational Curse by eddy1977(m): 4:13pm On Oct 07, 2012
Gal 3:13. Christ HAS reedemed us from the curse of the law.having become cursed so that the blessing of Abraham may be ours.

Gal 5:1; it's for freedom that christ HAS freed us from the yokes.

2cor 5:17 if any man is in Christ,he is a NEW creature...all has become new.

Bottom line: if the son sets you free, you are free INDEED. you belong to a new family, The family of God. No generational curse there.

You are quoting from Deut 22:5. A woman should not wear man,s clothing and vice versa.

But have you also considered verse 11?

It says that you shall wear clothes made of 2different threads, like linen and polyester.

If its wrong for a woman to wear a trouser, then you should also re read deut 22 and apply it to your life.

Unless she is your wife, you have no business telling her what she can wear or not.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Sinful To Wear Trousers As A Christian Lady? by eddy1977(m): 8:51am On Oct 06, 2012
k2039: I don't know if it is right or wrong;there are lot of controversy surrounding it.I will advise to be on the safer side, dont wear trousers(my reason if you get to heaven if God says it's a requirement you don't have anything to loose, but if it is the other way round you have all to loose

This is the most ridiculous concept ever. If God will throw you in hell because of your garments, then Ephesians 2:8,galatians 2:6,2cor 5:17,rom 8:1,are not to be believed.

Can you imagine God saying: well, you received the free gift of salvation when you said yes to christ.i forgave your sins and sealed you for heaven , but your trousers made me change my mind.your trousers were a sin against the holy spirit.angels, throw her out of her.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Sinful To Wear Trousers As A Christian Lady? by eddy1977(m): 8:43am On Oct 06, 2012
As long as you are comfortable and decent,no one should stop you from wearing it.
I don't care how long a woman,s skirt is,she can always pull it up.there are many prostitutes in the arab world who never wear trousers and yet they still sleep around.

You can wear a long skirt and still provoke men to lust.

If you are married, let your husband tell you if he likes it or not. If you are single, don't let anyone patronize you and tell you what to wear or what not to wear
Christianity Etc › Re: Who Is A False Prophet? Please Frosbel Explain by eddy1977(m): 8:32am On Oct 06, 2012
A false prophet is an imposter. God never called/ordained him. God does not recognize him.
However a bad prophet is a true man of God who is either undisciplined, immature in his exercise of the ministry or simply carnal.

There are many prophets of God out there.only the holy spirit can lead you across the path of one

Christianity Etc › Re: Women Are Restricted From The Work Of A Pastor. by eddy1977(m): 3:25pm On Jul 14, 2012
as for having no such thing as female shepperd, you may want to reconsider that notion because leah and rachel were female shepperds.
no woman should have authority over a man? i would also tell you that no man should have authority over another man s wife. in fact only jesus should have authority over everyone because he alone is lord.

paul said a woman should not teach.does this mean that women taught at some point in the early church? why would he have to restrict them if they never taught to start with?

there is more we can explain here...
Christianity Etc › Re: Women Are Restricted From The Work Of A Pastor. by eddy1977(m): 3:15pm On Jul 14, 2012
and the same bible says in ephesians 6 that slaves should submit to their masters.does this mean that God encourages slavery?
the samaritan woman proclaimed the gospel and brought an entire city to christ.why should nt christian women today bring their city to christ?
mary carried the word in her womb for 9 months, why shouldn't a christian woman carry the word in her mouth in the pulpit for one hour?
i am not too proud to hear a woman teach.if the lord has anointed her, then let the lord use her.

one more thing about your praise of the catholics.do you know that the catholics have actually murdered millions of christians for reading the bible?
i wouldn't use catholics as models of godliness.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Christians Still Listen To Secular Music? by eddy1977(m): 3:05pm On Jul 14, 2012
i guess you should say " why do SOME " christians listen to secular music.
the answer then would be easy. how many of these christians do you know? have you summoned the courage to ask them personally? and above all, why do you care? do they need your permission to listen to anything?

what is a secular song anyway? is the national anthem a christian or secular song? can a christian sing it?

before i forget, have u also asked the question: why do some unbelievers listen to gospel songs?
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Christianity Racist? by eddy1977(m): 8:59am On Jun 24, 2012
christianity teaches love and relationships.it teaches to embrace anyone regardless of their ethnicities.
your problem is that you are too self centered and think your ethnicity should be the center of the universe.you don't read the bible with humility.if you put your self centeredness to the side, you would be a genius on nairaland.
anyone who reads the bible can clearly see that God has actually used all ethnicities in the world
Christianity Etc › Re: What If The Devil Should Ask God For Forgiveness by eddy1977(m): 8:52am On Jun 24, 2012

Christianity Etc › Re: Where Was Daniel? by eddy1977(m): 5:46am On Jun 04, 2012
Daniel was probably on a diplomatic trip. remember he was handpicked by the king because of his royal parentage and political skills.
he was definitely outside the kingdom during this dark period.

perhaps the lesson from this is that Daniel represents the body of christ in the rapture. we will not have to deal with the beast and it's mark. the three hebrew boys represent those who will go through the great tribulation.

this interpretation is consistent with revelation 7 and revelation 12,13.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do People Sleep During Church Services? by eddy1977(m): 9:22am On Mar 13, 2012
many factors.
the bible tells us that one time paul preached all night long.one called eutychus dozed off, fell of the window and died. the bible doesnt say much about it,but we know that sleeping is a natural tendency of the body.if you ve had a long day, then a long sermon can feel to you like valium.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Judaism The Same As Zionism? by eddy1977(m): 3:22am On Mar 13, 2012
judaism is a religion.basically a mixture of the mosaic laws and jewish traditions. zionism is patriotic israeli movement with the main purpose of awakening the jewish conscious in rebuilding and reestablishing their nation.
Christianity Etc › Re: Have You Ever Been Humbled By The Lord So He Can Get Your Attention by eddy1977(m): 10:22pm On Mar 12, 2012
you are quoting scriptures that were written before jesus shed his precious blood. God doesn't deal with the believer in the new covenant the way he dealt with israel in the ot.

we have a more excellent covenant today.
Christianity Etc › Re: Have You Ever Been Humbled By The Lord So He Can Get Your Attention by eddy1977(m): 3:04pm On Mar 12, 2012
hello
biblically speaking, and more especially per new testament,God doesnt not do such things to his children.because jesus bore the judgments of God on calvary.by so doing he met the claims of divine justice. satan is the one who comes but to steal, kill and destroy. or our personal sins will open a door for satan to steal from us.also hosea says that the lack of knowledge will destroy us.
all this to say that God doesnt humble you.he humbled jesus for you.
Christianity Etc › Re: Your Thoughts On The Commercialization Of Gospel Materials by eddy1977(m): 7:14am On Mar 10, 2012
it is ok to sell gospel materials. the price is for the materials and not for the content.come on.even the bible is sold as a merchandise.it takes money to produce the packaging of the gospel material.

in some cases, materials have to be shipped and handled.that takes money. when the pastor has received a revelation and decides to put it in book format.the publishing house and the printing company will charge him to put the book together.that means, the pastor must come up with thousands of dollars to have his book published and printed.it is only logical for the pastor to turn around and sell the book.

so,common sense says that its ok and logical for pastors to sell cds, books and all gospel materials.
Christianity Etc › Re: Truly Americas Days Are Numbered, Read This And Tell Me What You Think by eddy1977(m): 7:02am On Feb 29, 2012
@ poster
personally i believe that hommosexxuality is a sin against God and against one's body and spirit.at the same time i also believe that christian churches have been very unchrist like in addressing this issue.they have made it almost impossible for gays and lesbbians to reach out for help.

as for the days of america being numbered because of this act, that is nothing but fallacy and hatred for this blessed country. Jesus shed his blood on the mercy seat to shield the entire world from the wrath of God. most people only focus on the little incidents to prophesy doom on this country, but they never talk about the zillion godly things that this nation is doing.for instance, this country is israel's greatest supporter.this nations send more missionaries in the world than any other nations.this nation has the biggest and best gospel television networks in the whole world.this country is the first and only western nation in the world to elect a black president.this country sends more relief aid and financial assistance to other countries more than any other country in the world.

all this to say that the days of america are not numbered.
Christianity Etc › Re: Between Goshen And Joeagbaje: Who Would You Listen To? by eddy1977(m): 5:42am On Feb 29, 2012
the bible says that we only know in parts. God never gives one single man the whole truth.

both our brothers goshen and jo are great and wonderful fellows and it is a blessing to have them both here on nairaland.

i wouldn't compare them in terms of doctrinal soundness simply because they both know only bits and parts. i cant also tell who is genuine and who is fake until i have prayed about them and developed fellowship with them.
Christianity Etc › Re: Apostasy - False Shepherds And Prophets Exposed. by eddy1977(m): 9:10am On Feb 27, 2012
food for your thoughts.
deuteronomy 8:18.

God establishes his covenant on earth by giving us power to make wealth.

therefore, satan will try his best to blind us on the subject of wealth, that way he fights God s purpose of establishing his covenant here.
Christianity Etc › Re: Apostasy - False Shepherds And Prophets Exposed. by eddy1977(m): 9:02am On Feb 27, 2012
@ goshen.

i understand what you say.
there are many reasons why i said what i said about leaving a church that is silent on the subject of money. i pray that the lord wl give you a rhema for that word. it is solid food and baby christians will, choke on it.the early church was very big on teaching about money.thats why no one lacked amlng them. let me tell my brother,if you go to a church were they dont teach you how to use your money for the advancing of the kingdom, get lut of there.they are either flattering you or they simply dont care about you.where your money is,there also is your heart.if they care about your heart, they should teach you ln finances.it takes money to send the word of God around the world.
Christianity Etc › Re: Apostasy - False Shepherds And Prophets Exposed. by eddy1977(m): 8:50am On Feb 27, 2012
@ moskeeto

no guilty conscious.
simply making a point that one can be very wealthy and still be a true prophet.
also, being an abusive minister doesnt make one a "false". by definition,a false prophet is simply an imposter.a self proclaimed minister of God. true prophets of God can be very abusive of their authority and position in the body.an ignorant prophet can create more problems than solutions.
there is difference because "false prophet" and "bad prophet".
a bad prophet is a genuine man of God who is ministering poorly.it may be that he just hasnt matured yet in his office or simply he was not mentored properly.

the poster misinterpreted the verses he quoted.he put everybody in the same boat. even his topic in itself "apostasy" he just twisted it and misrepresented it
Christianity Etc › Re: Apostasy - False Shepherds And Prophets Exposed. by eddy1977(m): 8:31am On Feb 27, 2012
thanks diluminati and pastor kuhn.

biblically speaking there is nothing wrong with being wealthy.in fact wealth is God s promise to us the believers.
it is hypocritical to criticize people that you dont know personally. i wonder if the poster knows any of the so called false prophets personally.did the lord speak to him in a vision about some specific ministers or is he just putting everyone in the same boat.
in my case,i used to criticize a certain televangelist because of his opulence.i called him all sorts of adjectives.until i met his staff members and saw with my eyes how he had refused a salary from the ministry for many years.he built schools and helped many people with his small income.the lord rewarded him with a mansion,a rolls ryce,a private jet and other assets.

simply because a man of God is wealthy, doesnt mean he is greedy and materialistic.have considered that it may be the lord giving his harvest as promised in the bible?

have you noticed that jesus spoke more about money than faith and prayer? unless you are dishonest, but it takes money to send the gospel around the world.it takes millions of dollars for reinhard bonnke to hold a crusade in your village.it takes money to print bibles and christian litteratures.

if i went to church were they didnt teach me about money and participating financially in the kingdom,i would leave that church in a heart beat.

so i say again.instead of criticizing a minister who talks about money and lives large, you should check yourself up and see if you have ever used your money to futher the kingdom of God.

just name one "false prophet" that you personally know.you have investigated him/her.you have prayed about them and the lord has specifically revealed to you that the said minister is "false". just name one.tells us what you know about him/her.their humble beginnings and journey with the lord.
Christianity Etc › Re: Apostasy - False Shepherds And Prophets Exposed. by eddy1977(m): 7:31am On Feb 27, 2012
thank you for sharing your insights with us.
just a few things to point out here:

what do you mean by "the church of God"?
are these characteristics inclusive of all  christian churches?

what i know is that there are thousands of God fearing men and women in the mission field, who sold all their belongings for the ministry.
i used to be very critical of wealthy ministers until i searched the history behind most of them.not to get too deep here, but there is such a thing in the bible as "harvest".
you may criticize  them for their current wealth, but you dont know how much they gave away in the past.i was shocked when i found out that a couple of pastors i was critical of had actually given away millions of dollars to sk many orphans, homeless, third world countries etc,

its so easy to criticize ministers from an outsiders stand point of view. do you know how many lives they have impacted positively with the gospel?

people who have nothing to offer and no fruit to show in their lives always criticize those who are  bearing fruit for the kingdom
