Pls for those with a PR card already, are you allowed entry into the US without visa for a short period?

Wondering if to renew my US visa in Nigeria (interview required) or wait till i reach Canada. Heard the rejection rate is very high now. Pls advise.

True for MOD

Milllz:

I don’t know about BC, but if you used MOD, the TRF number at the bottom of your online result page is the same exact TRF number you’ll get in your TRF sheet.

Either works but in this scenario better to put Dec 2012 and the LOE still cover him getting certificate in Sept 2013.

You can write an LOE that although you graduated in Dec 2012, you didnt get your certificate till 2013. That works.

Je m'appelle Ramj

Okay, thanks for the feedback. When filling BSc start and end date post ITA in personal history, should he input Dec 2012 or Sept 2013 as end date?

PLEASE house..I have Bsc accounting, 4 years plus experience in the Accounting job. Also i have Msc. Social Work but i only work part time as a project supervisor/manager with the NGO and i've been working with the NGO for over 7 years now, but it's just a part time job i do when my service is needed and i get paid in cash most time. Please i need to know if i should evaluate but certificate or the highest certificate.

Evaluate only your highest certificate (MSc), this will award the most points. Doesn't mean you can't claim points for your accounting job if you don't evaluate your BSc. Have you read page 1?

Work experience how.

be informed that any work experience before min requirement for NOC is invalid

If my NOC requires BSC degree, any experience I have in that NOC before the graduation is invalid and can't be used.

I was just thinking about this. How about if someone finished in Dec 2012, started work in Feb 2013 but BSc certificate carries Sept 2013? Can one claim points for months worked? Very crucial in getting 25 more points if he chooses 3 or more years.

If not, can he state finish date as Dec 2012? Any success stories with this kinda profile? Thanks

Pls anyone with similar experience? Kindly share...

Eddy4400:
Hello house...pls help with this scenario, I'm asking for a friend.

She started work in a university in Nigeria in 2014 and took study leave to pursue a PhD in UK in 2015. So thats one year full time experience before the PhD which is her primary NOC. However, her employment is still running and she still gets paid as she's expected to come back after the PhD. I understand that she can't claim points for work experience gained while studying. Soooo...

1. For work experience, should she fill 2014 -2018 and state this lecturer job as her current work experience? Would CIC calculate and figure out the 1year themselves since she's equally filling her PhD under education?

2. Or should she fill 2014-2015...nothing as current work experience. Then fill the period from 2015-2018 post ITA in personal history? If this is the case, will work reference state start date as 2014 without end date?

Pls help, to avoid misrepresentation issues. Thanks

She should fill her work experience as 2014 to 2015.
And PhD from 2015 to 2018. She should be truthful and honest in her application, remember she would still submit her passports and they would see she’s been in uk.
Sh can do an LOE to state she was on study leave with pay.

Thanks a lot. Pls how about the reference letter from the uni, shd it also state 2014-2015 and say shes on study leave? Thanks

Good evening all. May this week be productive for us all.

Please are there other people that are yet to get their ielts test score. Yet to get my test score and i am wondering if there should any cause for concern.

Please what is my best course of action in the circumstance. Very grateful for a response.

If you're unable to check your result online after 13 days, go to the office at the allocated time (12-3pm for MOD PH..google for other locations) to pickup the hardcopy. If the hard copy is still not available, start asking questions. Follow up with a mail asap.

Had a similar experience in 2015 with BC, mine was picked up for random reassessment (without my knowledge). My eyes opened when i nearly missed CAS shutdown after waiting for one month plus. Saw some action only after I tweeted at Cairan Dave-something, the BC oga kpata-kpata (got no response to mails sent).
