Goke7: I have watched and listened to the video, where Olishe said he had a meeting with the players and spoke to them before Vincent said he wanted to bare his mind, thank God oliseh did not say he was interrupted as some stupid fellows have been saying, Oliseh should have stated what he said to the players in this interview, I have an insider information that Oliseh blasted the foreign based players told them if its because of their money, they should keep it at home and that even the home based players were better than them if not for their visas issues. It was at this rage by Oliseh that Enyeama asked for an audience and Oliseh has told us in this interview that he did not allow Enyeama to speak.
The question is was it wrong for Enyeama as the captain to ask audience from his coach to speak?
Why did Oliseh in this video did not tell us what he said to the players?
Oliseh by going memory lane to state the past sins of Enyeama which he said he heard cos he said he never knew Enyeama at all in his life has only proved and conform that he has been used by the nff to disgraced Enyeama out of the national team.
Oliseh has also lied in this video by saying that Enyeama said he insulted the memory of his mother, Enyeama only said he won't allow anyone insult the memory of his mother.
Oliseh only overacted to a matter that so simple to resolve. Have you asked yourself the reason why he went off on the players the way he did?? For all we know, the boys were probably not giving their all in training or weren't as committed as he expected. There's no way in the world Enyeama would behave the way he did in Lille. He'd get sacked on the spot. |

TheSuperNerd: No he's not!!! Hey! Don't get me wrong aiiit..... He's a wonderful young talent who was just given the opportunity to showcase his wares despite being 19. Remember Mauricio Pochettino, the tottenham manager, has a knack for fielding bright young talents right from his time at Southampton FC.
He did it with Nabil bentaleb, Ryan Mason, and now Eric Dier and Alli, all at tottenham.
At Southampton he did it with Ward-prowse, Luke shaw and a few others. So it's no surprise Alli gets the chance to shine at Tottenham. I believe by the time Musa Yahaya finally signs a pro-contract in December 2015(by which time he turns 18), or latest January 2016, with tottenham, he will get his chance too with time and outshine any player in his own position. He's currently at the top of the pile among tottenham's top 10 highly rated youngsters without pro-contracts.
Now I said Dele Alli isn't the best young player Nigeria has in that position because there are still the likes of these: 1). Chidiebere Nwakali(Man City, on loan at Girona)- Like Alli, he's super versatile. Can play as a dmf, a cmf, and even a RB. Full of intelligence and energy. No wonder Man City picked him up. He's only 18-19 yrs old..
2). Ifeanyi Matthew(El-kanemi Warriors, Nigeria)- saw him at the 2015 Caf u-20 Ayc? Mehnn!!!! This guy can play. He's also super versatile and can play as an Amf, a cmf and even sometimes as a dmf. He's that good with a long range of passing that reminds you of sunday oliseh. Two of these long range passes from Matthew turned into assists for Taiwo Awoniyi who destroyed the impressive senegalese in the tournament's first match of that group. He's currently 20 I think.
3). Akinjide Elijah Idowu(Nath boys Academy): So many beautiful talents just waiting for that one big opportunity but I believe we won't witness the disappearance of a super midfield talent like Idowu. Had not gotten any foreign deal yet but I believe it's only a matter of time. This guy's main role is defensive midfield(dmf). While his side role is central midfield(cmf). He's a workaholic, a brainy workaholic. He's human but I think he plays with 8 lungs. Not even Onazi not to mention Alli comes that close to this young lad's work rate in midfield. He's that good and he's 19.
THESE "THREE PLAYERS" ABOVE ARE JUST BETTER, IF NOT FAR BETTER, THAN DELE ALLI IN 'HIS' POSITION. ALL ALLI HAS OVER THEM RIGHT NOW IS TOP-FLIGHT EXPERIENCE. THAT'S ALL.
There are a couple of others( either at par or slightly just behind Dele Alli or maybe even better) such as Usman Mohammed- 21yrs old (Fc Taraba, star member of Nigeria u-23, and Member of Nigeria's home-based Eagles), Alfa Abdullahi-19yrs (College football academy, Nigeria; star member of Nigeria's U-17 all-conquering side of 2013, etc. Small in stature but mighty in midfiel intelligence..... Also a wonder how he's yet to move abroad on a good deal. His time will come) , and even Kingsley Sokari-20 yrs (Enyimba Int'l FC, amf and cmf, best young player of nigeria's npfl 2014 season).
SO YOU SEE SIR, ALLI OR NOT, We got them in abundance. We just got to learn to look inwards. I disagree. Haven't watched Nwakali, but from what I've seen of idowu and Matthew, Alli is on a whole different level compared to them. |

Shymm3x: And what's wrong with the way he pronounces his last name and what has that got to do with anything? Anyway, he wanted to play for naij, hence he and his family took time to weigh up the benefits of playing for England vis-a-vis naij for a long time before going with the Three Lions. I believe both Dele Alli and Akpom are open to playing for naij, and they both support the Nigerian football team openly. I don't know about Sheyi Ojo cos he looks like a coon with the nasty straight hair with the ridiculous hair cut he has on his head...but since his parents follow him everywhere he goes, he might be open to playing for naij.
The duo of Moses Odubajo and Ola Aina are better than most of the players playing for the naija team...why can't they give these young guys a chance? Loool @ seyi ojo looking like a coon . It pisses me when ibe pronounces his name like he does. I wonder what his parents think about it. I agree about Odubanjo and Aina...its no surprise that Siasia was interested in inviting Odubanjo when he was SE coach. I think the main reason why these guys reconsidered any interest they had in playing for naija was because of Keshi. That excuse of a coach kept on inviting junk players and playing agent instead of scouting young players overseas and not the overaged "young players" in the epl. Hopefully Oliseh can convince Alli and Akpom to play for us especially Alli. |

Shymm3x: Jordon Ibe actually wanted to play for naij, but naij never showed any interests in him whatsoever - until he started playing regularly for Liverpool. Even with that - the level of interest they showed wasn't really thorough...unlike the allure of playing for England. Playing for the Three Lions has a lot of privileges, especially when it comes to the transfer. C'mon, Jordon Ibe is from Peckham and you can't be more Nigerian in the UK than being a Peckham boy. So Nigeria was always his first choice but Nigeria just never showed that much interest in the guy.
How about the likes of Dele Alli, Sheyi Ojo, Chuba Akpom, Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina, Chuks Aneke, Dominic Iorfa, and Moses Odubajo (Forget Dom Solanke, he won't play for naij cos his mum is white and she's the one managing his career) - how come naij hasn't shown any interest whatsoever in these kids? Oh, naij will wait till they become superstars before it starts scrounging to reap where it didn't sow, no? Nah Ibe never had any plans to play for us. Look at the way dude pronounces his last name (eyeb). Dude doesn't feel Nigerian. As for the others, Aneke was approached back when he was at Arsenal and he agreed to play for us. He'll probably play in the Olympics. Iwobi has trained with the u23s and has been invited for our next friendly games. Iorfa's dad is yanning opaks about his son still being open to playing for the SE after accepting to play for the english youth team (something about naija "messing up" young players). Dele Alli, Ojo and Akpom are not interested in playing for Naija. Alli has a big chance of playing for England in the future. Probably the most talented one eligible to play for us. |

TheGoodJoe: The greatest compliment paid to Scholes came just before and after his final minutes as a professional player. In the aftermath of United’s Champions League final hammering at the hands of Barcelona, Scholes could be seen strutting off the Wembley pitch wearing the shirt of Barca midfielder Andres Iniesta, having been pursued by the Spaniard straight after the final whistle to swap jerseys. What Scholes did not realise at the time was that Iniesta only got to make the request after drawing lots with four of his team-mates – Lionel Messi, Xavi, Pedro and Sergio Busquets.
That’s right. In the countdown to the biggest club football match on the planet, the best player on the planet (Messi, of course) was locked in a battle with four of his team-mates for the right to ask Scholes for his jersey at the end of the game. This on the back of Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola stating instantly, when asked, that Scholes would be the Man United player he would most like to have in his team.
http://www.stakeholdergroup.com/opinion/why-barca-took-the-shirt-off-his-back/ Don't get me wrong, I rate scholes. I think he's better than both lampard and gerrard, but all this talk of him being better than zidane, pirlo and xavi is nonsense. He's talented without a doubt; but slightly hyped in my view. Are Lampard and Gerard overhyped? What of Paul Scholes who took midfield passing to anther level. Long before Pirlo and Xavi.

Spy360: Good thoughts @edi287 and @Debosky.
You guys are saying the correct things only that the perspectives are different. While edi exudes the feelings of disgruntled fans, Debosky brings in the optimistic aspect that explains why whether it rains or shines we are still Arsenal and will support the club.
That said, on paper Arsenal shouldn't win the league, Man City should because having spent more than anyone else, they have the best squad. But as we all know, in football; 1+1 is not always 2. That explains why Crystal Palace beat Chelsea at Stamford bridge last weekend, and Swansea who only got a freebie beat Man Utd who spent £120m.
So then does Arsenal have a team that can win the title? No!
It is possible that Arsenal can win the title? Yes! At the beginning of the season, it was widely recognized that we needed to address 3 areas in other to be true title contenders. Wenger addressed only one of it and left the other 2. Giroud is our only TRUE out and out striker and we all know he's average. For us to win the league, it'll take a big screwup by city and chelsea to stay this useless all season which is frankly almost impossible. 4 games and we're already 5 points behind. Out of those 4 matches, only Liverpool should've been a test for us (maybe palace.) |

debosky: Reputable journos? Give me a break. Why didn't other clubs desperate for strikers sign them up? Or is Arsenal the only team looking for strikers?
I didn't add Sanchez who more than held his own in scoring stats in his debut season as well. Oh yeah let's forget that Giroud missed nearly 3 months of the season too, or that it was WELBZ first season.
Signing KDB and Otamendi has nothing to do with their league position as those guys haven't kicked a ball, so signings are NOT why they are top of the table. In terms of players on the field and points so far, Citeh have secured what they have with only Sterling as an addition, no different in numbers to our addition of Cech.
I don't dispute they've strengthened, but they've also sold players too - we haven't sold anyone except Diaby. Arteta will be LANS and Joel Campbell is back in the fold - he's also LANS Debuchy missed virtually the whole season. . . .I could go on.
Yeah, Chelski spent all that money and got knocked out of the CL too. Citeh spent all the money and ended up trophyless last time round. Arsenal won a cup. I'm not delighted at the lack of signings, but I'm not despondent like you that's for sure.
Can this team win the title? If folk haven't written Chelski off then yes it can. 1.The same journos who told you about Martial signing before it truly got out. Manure and us were/are the only 2 clubs desperate for a first choice striker. Chelsea, City, Bayern, Barca did not need one. Van gaal is a dull man, so idk. 2. If you add Sanchez, then we might as well add Hazard too. Giroud missed 3 months of the season, so?? He still played a game more than Costa and still scored 6 less. Welbeck has been playing in the epl for a while now, so the first season excuse does not cut it with me. Costa in his first season in english football scored 20. Thats a World Class Striker. 3. Sterling and a Change of formation has made them look dangerous. Has Cech signing stopped Giroud from being a pipe?? The players city sold didn't contribute that much last season. They have Bony and Aguero...dzeko and jovetic didn't add much LAST season. You mean the same Joel Campbell that flopped at Villareal?? I bet you think he's going to "do a coquelin" right? Debuchy who Bellerin has turned to Second choice option?? Please tell me one player who is out injured that's better than the ones that has played the first 4 games?? 4.Did Chelsea get beaten at home by a Monaco side without 5 first teamers?? City got knocked out by Barca....no shame in that. I'm saying it as it is and not speaking from blind optimism. The same bar cech were 12 points behind chelsea, Chelsea with pedro and the defenders they signed are stronger than last season. Simple as that. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by edi287: 4:00pm On Sep 02, 2015 |
debosky: You're not listening. . . .who said Benzema and Cavani were available for 50m? Who said the clubs would sell or the players would want to come? Do you think simply having money to spend means players will join? Or are you now the official agent for Benzema and Cavani?
16 +5+4 = 25 20+7 = 27
Considering Walcott was out for most of the season and Welbeck was just adjusting to the team, is it unrealistic to expect them to bridge a mere 2 goal gap, especially with the anticipated improvement in defence due to Saint Petr's addition?
Cool your jets - what makes City 'FAR stronger'? In the games played so far the only addition they've fielded is Sterling, so they've effectively played the same squad as last season, yet results are coming in. That again shows that it's not strictly about signings, even though they have made signings. So why can't our own results improve as well?
There's no fact in what you've stated - it's purely an opinion. We will find out the truth in May. 1. Yes they were. Legit sources have carried this story throughout the window...not your typical rumor spewing site like the sun. You think Cavani is content playing on the wing? did zlatan not say he wasn't sure he was going to stay at psg this season. The fact that reputable journos said psg would listen to offers for Cavani is good enough for me. 2. Two strikers of theirs scored more than 3 of ours (I didn't even add drogba) what does that tell you? Welbeck started more games than remy, That was also Costa's first season. So no excuse for that. Oh yeah and lets forget that costa was struggling with his hamstring injury all season. So yes I don't see Giroud or Welbeck outscoring him. Cech signing will not cyre Giroud of his imbe nature. 3. Because they added the best midfielder in the bundesliga last season and arguably the best defender in the la liga last season. Oh yeah and Sterling has added a different dimension to their front line. There's also Delph as well. Thats why they're top of the table with no goals conceded so far. The addition of de bruyne and otamendi will only make them stronger. 4. Yes we will see come May. But its an open secret that this team will come no higher than 3rd and get knocked out in the second round of the champs league after a "spirited attempt" at trying to overturn a home defeat. |
