Epaul: Just wondering who he would or could 'bench' in the madrid first team if the deal is eventually struck. Is it khedira, illara, lucas silva, modric or kroos? I frankly can't see him breaking into the first team. Even if God answers the effectual-fervent-prayer of mikel and khedira gets injured, illara is apparently the fave to replace him not Mikel. Besides, madrid has a knack for pacy counter-attacks which needs nippy and nifty midfielders who can 'throw' quick and well-measured passes to their always-on-the-run wingers. Mikel's sluggish pattern of play just doesn't suit that.
It would seem another 'long bench' that stretches from 'otuoke' to the palace of the oba of lagos awaits him. Khedira and illara are leaving this summer, so it'll be him, kroos and silva fighting for the dm spot. Besides he can play alongside modric and kroos. So not as far fetched as you think. |

So those nigerians and somalians wont be overlooked, they will get whats due to them, not via abuja. Exactly...thats what the slowpoke should have said instead of calling Nigerians cheap. kgr28: Barber shop Investments does that even add value to the economy.. dont misuse the word. the folks in Sandton add value to the economy= our tax ($120 bn budget) =revenue=socials services. When your barbers get sick they go to hospitals for FREE and also thats may tax. your a burdan to SA. my tax have to take care of you. So why are your people complaining that foreigners are taking these "little"jobs away from them?? Why don't they "aim bigger"? Go after the white guys at sandton then. Why bother about jobs that don't "add value" to the economy? How are foreigners stopping them from having barber shops?? |

CHEAP If we're so "cheap"...please pay up so we can compensate the people who lost their investments. Come Mzansi...be the "bigger man". Go attack the guys in sandton and melrose arch...leave the guys with the "cheap" businesses working hard to make a living while some imbeciles sit back and wait for handouts. |

AKB - Arsene Knows Best Exactly...for how many years are we going to be a player or two behind?? If wenger doesn't buy a dm and a striker next season, then I know he clearly doesn't want to win the league anytime soon. |

Yustash001: yet...they still don't play the same wing.....henry played as a supporting striker(midfielder) why Ronaldo played as a full striker.. Henry always played as a striker for arsenal. Infact he started his career as one before wenger moved him to the wing at Monaco. |

For the fact that some people are still saying "we need a backup for giroud" and "coq is the best dm in the league" makes me feel that some fans have gotten used to 4th place trophy and one FA cup every season. |

Spy360: Mourinho confessed that it was Fergie who taught him how to beat Wenger.
Obviously Wenger loves to keep the ball and push forward, so by allowing him do that and then setting an ambush against him by using brute strength you expose him at the back and slay him on the counter. That is because Wenger does not employ physical techniques but rather tactical. That is why the likes of Drogba and Rooney shine against Arsenal. Last season's Torres goal at the Emirates was just annoying the way he bundled off Koschieny.
Nevertheless, Arsene has adopted a more cautious approach that worked against both Manchester clubs, and Liverpool thanks to the rise of Coquelin, which has seen us rise to second place and an FA cup final berth. Before Dec, who would have thought those were possible?
For me the key to beating Mourinho is to sit back and wait for him. And that's exactly what he doesn't want. Mou sets up his team to prowl on the counter. He is not an attack minded coach- which was obvious last season after he lost to defensive minded teams like Sunderland and Stoke City. See how he dislodged Man Utd on Sat, despite a 75% ball possesion. See how he dealt with Man City. I remember the game against Liverpool last season when Liverpool lost despite only needing a draw at home. If you come out against Mou, you are only heading for a suicide mission. Play to draw and you win, play to win and you lose. Hope Arsene gets it right this time. I agree 100 percent. Matter of fact I thought we played well against them at stamford bridge; we just lacked that bit of quality in the final third. Giroud is in great form at the moment, but he tends to choke in critical matches (FA cup final, monaco, last season aganist chelsea, beskitas, etc). I just hope he shows up tomorrow. |

Mou is a bit more flexible, But I personally prefer pep. Mou does whatever's necessary to win, while pep always wants to win based on his style of play. Both are great tacticians though. |

proudlysports: Abou's contract will not be renewed from what I hear. Who knows, he may just go somewhere else and play a few years with no serious injury. If that happens though, we will need to query our entire medical team and training methods.
Yes he does but we need someone who does it on a regular basis. Who knows how many 0 or 1 pt would have been 3 points for us if only we had an in form 'Thierry Henry'?
That has been the bane of Coquelin's football career before now. He has played at RB, AM RM. Yet his best role has always been at DM. When he played that DM role for 4 or 5 games at Charlton, he showed the same form of the Coquelin I used to know at youth level and that's why I'm not surprised at his current form. Even Charlton fans confessed he was above Championship level. He will definitely improve but I think we need to be careful with him and not put too much pressure on him. Jack IMO is suffering from that at the moment. Same with Wojciech Szczesny. Coquelin is just 23. Competition will help improve his game
Look at Hector. Very good RB but he still has Debuchy to learn from. Exactly. But according to wenger "if you're good enough, you're old enough". I suppose Arteta is the one Coq's meant to learn from, but he's lost his legs and wants a 2 year contract. |
