Pls can you define man management skills and tactics, how long will we continue to allow ignorant sports journalists and envious ex footballers to becloud our sense of reasoning cos i know that's where you got those vocabularies from, na wa o lol
What exactly are you trying to imply?? Man management and tactics don't matter in the game or what??

Maybe Keshis "haters" came up with those terms just so he could get sacked right??

You keshi stans sha...he's not God. He has made a alot of mistakes since the AFCON win. How many big teams have we beaten since Ivory coast??

People going as far as saying he equaled our best wc performance when we were only able to get 4pts.

I guess, with your knowledge of football, you are fit enough to coach Liverpool? Hence it is just tactics, strategy and workout.

It takes time and experience to reach coach Keshi's level.

First he was a successful footballer and worked with lots of different top coaches. He has been able to see cause and effect of different strategies and tactics over the years.

He grew as a coach. I remember Coach Keshi an under 17 coach learning his craft.

Also Aime Jacquet of France dropped Eric Cantona, David Ginola, Ibrahim Ba and put Keeper Bernard Lama on the bench.

Guardiola dropped Deco, Ronaldinho, Guily. This is not the first time a coach dropped players because of attitude.

Mancini dropped Given, Bellamy, Petrov, Adebayor and still won the Fa Cup and Premier League. Uche is not the first.
While Keshi might be good at getting his players to play out of their skins for him; he's not that great tactically.

Even his famed man management skills are starting to desert him. The way he's handled some issues lately have been rather disappointing.

Arsenal fans should be celebrating news of injury to that wasteman Ozil.

I remember Gaynners celebrating his signing, I just been dey laugh. I heard Guardiola is interested. Y'all better pray Bayern comes to save you from that passenger.
Wenger doesn't know how to use ozil. I'd pick an inform ozil over cesc anyday of week. Wenger's just killing the guy's confidence. i won't blame him if he leaves.

Wenger tactics were wrong.

Wilshere unbalances the whole team,it's not a mystery that the whole team suffers when he plays, and the team appear world class with cutting edge when he doesn't. Our best performances this season( Aston villa and Galatasaray) all came with Wilshere on the bench, and Ozil playing at the middle.

Wilshere was the flop of the match for me, he was supposed to be our playmaker in this match, but he wasn't able to thread one through pass for welbeck, all he does is run with ball, run into chelsea players and lose the ball, he equally missed a sitter.

Wenger should either play Ozil in the middle, or bench him. By not playing Chamberlain, on the wings we lost our width, as Ozil was useless there, and we left Chambers at the mercy of Hazard as Ozil wasn't helping him, Chamberlain on the wings would have kept Hazard busy and make things easier for the team.

Again, it's wenger's fault that we ended up with Flamini as a DM,a better DM would have brought Hazard down before he entered the 18 yard box.
Wenger out! Lol.
It all comes down to these two points you made.

Anyone with half a brain knows ozil plays best as a CAM. Say whatever you want, it's just the truth. It's not fair that he gets criticized for "disappearing" and "not influencing games" when he's not in the middle of things. In madrid, he had alonso and khedira to mop up things at the back while he roamed at the front yet people expect him to come to a more physical epl and become superman at both ends.

Mourinho seems to know how to use him better than wenger does.

Meanwhile, we have wenger offering arteta a contract extenstion. I really don't understand how his head works.

A physical presence is needed in that midfield and fast. Someone like a khedira or a javi martinez(pipe dreams i know) would do us a whole lot of good. Wenger tactics was spot on, but he doesn't have the players to carry it out(which is his fault).

As for ozil, he started off brightly and faded off as the game progressed. He looks disinterested and i don't blame him....i blame wenger who doesn't know how to use him.

Santi must not start against Chelsea o, he is too light on the ball, with Chelsea's rough, dirty tacklers, he won't survive. Give us Wilshere or Rosicky.
I see your point; but he combines well with ozil...thats why i want him to start.

His Chelsea record: 27 games, 22 wins, 4 draws, 1 loss.
We're screwed then...If flamini starts, there's a 70 percent chance he'll get a red card.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by edi287: 3:41pm On Sep 30, 2014
debosky: Dunno why you're still making noise about Ozil being played on the left - why are you fixated with formations? What side was Ozil when he got his shot on target in the second half? huh

Ozil's position has nothing to do with the draw - it was down primarily to Spurs' excellent defensive performances. Kaboul and Lloris had excellent games and you can't begrudge that. Combine that with Flamini being easily dispossessed and you have your answer.

It's a tad silly to bring out your 'Ozil didn't play as no 10' guitar after every poor result.
Look, Ozil is best when played at middle...that should be CLEARLY obvious at this stage. I didn't say him not playing as a no 10 had anything to do with us not winning, i'm saying wenger is using a formation that doesn't suit the players he has. You can't use a 4-1-4-1 when you have a dm that's as immobile as arteta or as clumsy as flamini. We needed a dm, wenger didn't get one because he wants to fit wilshere in the first 11.

The team is just too unbalanced at the moment; and wenger isn't helping by trying to squeeze all these attacking mids in.

This 4-1-4-1 formation simply doesn't work. i don't know how long it'll take before wenger realizes this. How stubborn can a man get?? you spent 42.5m on the best no 10 on the planet just to move him on the left.

I just pray we don't get battered against chelsea next week. If we don't sign a dm this jan, we might as well kiss the top 4 goodbye.

debosky: Utter bullocks - did Ozil score from being the leftmost part of the attack or from being central? Did Ozil cross for the goal from the no 10 position or from the same left wing?

I don't know what type of TV you watch games on.

Neither goal nor assist came from a no 10 position - the claim is baseless.

I'm glad he scored and assisted but he needs to do that far more often considering the freedom he's given by Arsene
He spent most of the time in the middle na...he interchanged easily with santi; that was key. The 3 behind welbeck were very, very fluid; something that we don't see in the 4-1-4-1 and most especially when wilshere's playing.

Spy360: Personally, I think a combo like

.......................Welbeck................
Sanchez...Ozil.....Ramsey.....Walcot

will be devastating. Did you notice the understanding between Welbeck and Ozil? Now that Welbeck has broken the ice, expect a more potent finisher. Already he's got pace and power.

We will win the league.
Nah Ramsey plays better when running from deep, hence a 4-3-2-1 formation is better.
Welbeck
Sanchez/santi............Ozil............Walcott
Ramsey Arteta/flamini.

Talent team yes, but chelsea and city are still better imho. Wenger really goofed big time in not buying a cb and a dm. That was all we needed to mount a serious challenge for the title.

Pataki: I hope today's game has silenced debosky about how Wenger is really killing Ozil's game by throwing him to the flanks. I was a bit happy when I saw Wilshere injured. The stubborness of Wenger sometimes can be mentally frustrating.

Give Ozil his natural role and watch Arsenal show the world how to score three goals in three minutes and 12 seconds.
Thank you!! he looked much more threatening and happier than i've seen him all season. Notice how fluid we were today with santi and him playing together?? they interchange so easily...
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by edi287: 9:24pm On Sep 20, 2014
Spy360: ozil shared the no10 with cazorla and Ramsey. Infact, Ramsey was the actual 10 today not Ozil who was more of an 8. Once again its the modern technicalities of football.
Dude what are u on about?? Ramsey played from deep(his regular b2b position) and ozil played as A NO 10. Yeah he occasionally interchanged with carzola, but he was mostly a no 10. Ozil plays better with santi; they can both interchange positions easily unlike with wilshere or ramsey.
