Danhumprey: And so far,in the past two AFCON,West African teams have shown that they are the football power-house of Africa. Hence using their style of play to describe African football as a whole, isn't quite out of place. It is out of place. You should've been more specific. |

Danhumprey: Then what about the West African teams? What kinda football do they play? Like you said, physical football. |
Sports › Re: Ghana Vs Equatorial Guinea: AFCON 2015 (3 - 0) On 5th February 2015 by edi287: 4:17am On Feb 06, 2015 |
Danhumprey: Really? It's like you don't know what African football is. It's somewhat similar to the EPL. It's about pace and power, though there's less pace and more power. African football is about physicality! I beg to differ. The north africans are more about technique (algeria, egypt and morroco comes to mind). Southern Afican teams tend to play with pace and a little more flair(SA, Zambia). |

An0nimus: He should be sold IMO. I don't get it why AW sacrifices Ozil/Cazorla to play an over hyped player like Wilshere. Wenger will never sell him. He's suppose to be our "future captain", leader of the "English Core" in the team. I read he was being offered a contract extension for 150k per week. |

When last did we have such ugly one? Sagna I see why a mediocre average striker like giroud can come out to say "he won't be happy if we sign higuain" or "he isn't worried about his place" because his head has been inflated by all this mumu "hfb" talk. |

cao: Sorry dude, but the creators have spoken, just like when JK revealed that Dumbledore was gay. Just like every resurrection in comic books, just like the travesty that was Marvel's clone saga. They created them, they will shape them anyway they want and if you don't like it, there's always fanfiction... I wasn't really surprised by dumbledore being gay. I was sure he was gay after the story of him and Grinderwald. |

Icon4s: C, when it comes to age grade competitions Nigeria and Ghana are ranked along side Brazil and Argentina. What has Belgium or Italy that u mentioned won be it U17, U20, or U23?I even rate more highly youth teams from CIV, Guinea, Mali, Cameroun than most of those European teams. I have been following youths football for abt 30yrs. What we need for the U23 now are friendlies with Mostly West African rivals. Benin or even Togo can serve d purpose.
Mtcheew Una wan go play Belgium and Italy bc of qualufiers against Gabon. So why hasn't our success translated into the national team? Winning youth championships with overage players isn't something to be proud of. |

pamcode: guy lampard was a cm and he could equal henry's record and he was once a second best too.Back to the topic dont ever compare players again especially this ones they both did their thing and they did it well.#peace Out of lampard's 175 goals, 45 were penalties. Henry had only 23. Henry has the second best goals to games ratio in the history of the epl. |
Sports › Re: Thierry Henry Vs Didier Drogba, Who Is Better & Had More Success? by edi287: 3:25pm On Dec 19, 2014 |
omar22: Drogba is a complete striker
Henry is one dimensional
Can you name an important game Henry scored in like a Semi or final of the CL, or final of the FA cup, his achievement with France well he should thank the likes of Zidane, Djorkaef, Deschamp etc. more like riding on the wave of that moment, when they all retired before the 2006 world cup, France nearly dropped but begged Zidane to come out of retirement who save the day and saved the tournament for France but for Arsenal the only thing Henry could right home about is the Premier League, But Drogba against the best teams in Europe will score!
Actually if you ask the question who does the defender fear most Drogba or Henry This has got to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life. Henry is the most complete striker to have ever played in england. Superb technical ability, speed, pace, free kicks, long range shots, assists, skill you name it...Drogba doesn't begin to come close. The only thing he has over henry is aerial ability/physical presence. |

Roland17: Way way too early to be carried away with this performance, the one consolation from this game is Debuchy being better and a more reliable option than Monreal, Newcastle's goal still exposed our deficiencies at the back, bad positioning..
You have to feel very bad for Per who although has being the principal culprit when it comes to erratic positioning has being made to partner with 4 different defenders, it almost impossible to form a bond or chemistry, experience can only take you so far.. Don't agree. I think monreal reads the game better. He not be physically imposing enough to play as a cb. I think mertasacker has been shit for a while now. |

ezekiel66: LOL. Just do a search for the howlers Courtois produced last season. Would make you think twice Let me guess, you've never even seen Neuer play except for the world cup in more than perhaps 5 games - am I right? Watched Neuer back when he played for schalke...didn't rate him that highly. No way is he the greatest keeper of all time. I'd take buffon in his prime over him any day of the week. |
Sports › Re: Manuel Neuer's Ballon D'or Nomination Is A Joke by edi287: 12:24am On Dec 12, 2014 |
I swear Neuer is slowly starting to get overhyped. Don't get me wrong, he's a superb keeper and is fantastic as a "sweeper keeper", but this talk of him being the greatest keeper of all time really ticks me off
Besides, Courtois performances last season were as good as his(except for the WC i guess). He definitely was not the best player in bayern and German NT. |
