It is impossible for Brahimi to have a better year than Yaya Toure. Brahimi scored only three goals in the whole Year. Yaya was one of the reasons Man City Won the EPL and the Capital one cup. Yaya scored amazing goals.

Note, Yaya was the only African in the FIFA 23 nominees for the Ballon d'or. So how can Brahimi have a better year.

FC Porto are not even champions of the Portuguese league. It is Benfica. That award is just vote joke. It is undeserved. Even Ahmed Musa had a better year than Brahimi.

I meant a better 2014. Yaya didn't have a good WC and hasn't been playing well since the start of the season.

I am a fan of Brahimi and I feel he is going to be as good as Yaya Toure but there is no way he is the African Best Player. Yaya was ahead of every African Player. He scored a lot of goals that led Man City to win the league title. Yaya's bulldozing run against Aston Villa was breath taking and the goal was cooly slotted in. What of Yaya's goal against Sunderland In the Carling Cup finals at Wembley. That was the goal of the competition.

This award lacks credibility. Terrible. This is coming from someone who respects Brahimi.

Criticize mikel for not being fast and agile or scoring enough, but don't you dare say he is not technically sound. That's almost blasphemy.
Of all the players you mentioned, only Yaya, song and probably Diame is as technically gifted and tactically savvy as mikel.

My problem with Mikel is he didn't develop as we thought he would which is in part of him being complacent and not pushing himself to the next level. I think he got carried away playing for chelsea. It's like he's content with sitting on the bench.

By the way, replacing Mikel is not easy. Technically brilliant players are difficult to find. Look at Italy, since 2000 until today, they have not been able to replace Pirlo. Xavi and Xabi Alonso was irreplaceable until Thiago Alcantara came along.

Super Eagles have had very great players[b] but only Finidi George, Kanu and Mikel have showed technical brilliance in the Super Eagles. It is hard to explain this quality. I never watched Coach Keshi play in midfield, but I heard he was that sort of player.

Could it be that she rejected it because she is still a college football player under the NCAA in the USA? The NCAA rules prohibit any athlete from collecting gifts or compensation for participating in any event or for endorsements. So maybe she was trying to avoid a ban from playing College Soccer in the USA. Just my thought though.

By law she cannot take the money. She is a student athlete and under NCAA rule she is not allowed to take the money. I dont understand why the parents will say the untruth about her being too young to take such money.

The truth is that you will jettison your eligibility rule with the NCAA if you take any money - Bonuses or no bonuses. You cant even take the money to donate to anyone. She is an OK State University student and if she still wants to play for OK State she has to reject the money.
