Each state House of assembly should pass a bill that will put an end to estimated billing, any house the DISCOS can't supply a prepaid meter to should not be charge a single kobo till the DISCOS are able to instal a prepaid meter in the building

yes, the discos are using the estimated billing to rob their customers.
They need to make sure all buildings are metered so that people can monitor/ plan their usage.

Kindly check your account, I want to believe that there is a debit on the account.
No tariff is up to that as you can see from what is been posted above.
To know your band, you can send an email to them to find out the band you are placed or check your last post paid bill if it is not to long, you moved to prepaid.

The earlier the better, if care is not taking you will get a higher bill for July if you don't take the necessary action. also don't forget to call or WhatsApp the FCCPC people, they can be of great help.

Me and my bro are living in a self con apartment in portharcourt.
May our bill was 11k, this was atleast commendable considering the fact that the previous bill was higher. June bill was 26k we paid 13k, this was after i complain to the marketer that the bill is too much considering the fact that nothing change in the supply of power between these months.
Yesterday the worst happened, they brought bill and when i checked it, it was 57k...
For a self con apartment..
Meanwhile there is a postpaid metre in the compound but they probably don't want to take readings from it citing directives from authority..
How can i go about this issue?
I met one of their employees and the guy said they have stopped issuing and receiving payment for prepaid meters.

complaining to marketer is a mistake and has no effect, He won't do anything as he is part of the people that brought that decision to you.
Also paying 13k out of the 26k is like telling them I agree to what you brought but I can only pay 13k out of it, I will advice you write them officially and allow them to acknowledge a copy of your letter.

it is better you write a letter to them as well and allow them to acknowledge a copy of the letter but this is after 15 days you have writing to PHEDC and you didn't get a favorable response.
also chat or call the FCCPC people I put their contact above to get their response regarding your case.

Do you know that there is a dedicate phone no that you can use in reporting your electricity wahala to FCCPC?
you can call the phone no during work hours or WhatsApp or SMS outside work hours, I will post the number as picture because of the bo ts.
I am sure you will get justice if you are cheated by your disco and you have your documentation right.
Be truthful with the FCCPC team with your information and you will get justice at no cost.
I trust the madam that handle this issue.

Our transformer can sometimes be quite erratic. It always blows something if it rains. Sometimes it takes 3 days to restore fully.

If the transformer is ok. We get light from 8PM to 5PM daily. The light is then switched on at 8pm again to 4am in the morning. I close at 6 so I use gen for only 1 hr under normal circumstances. In this scenario I use N5000 worth of electric bill weekly.

I think it is fair then.

Yes oooh, the thing I noticed is that they know people don't talk and there is much stress in Lagos so they are always like don't mind them, they will pay , they don't have time and energy for the stress.

Good morning. Not yet o! I called their customer service and the lady told me that the issue has to do with commissioning of the meter.

According to the lady, MOJEC has to do the commissioning first before they can generate the activation token.

I received a called sometime later from one of them, telling me that they are coming to commission the meter. I waited for them and no one came.

which one is commissioning again, is it not MOJEC team that installed it, don't tell me you are still without electricity?
The main program is not recharging before you exhaust your credit, my automatically generated token when I bought credit.
you need to keep disturbing them with mail or go to FCCPC office to report.

Thank God I fought tooth and nail to get prepaid meter for my office 2 years ago. For my office consisting of 3 rooms plus my wife's eatery, I only pay N150,000 monthly. If not for the prepaid, I would be paying over N100,000 per month on estimated billing.

is better someone try as much as possible to get prepaid meter, IKEDC is ready to milk someone dry.

January around 80k, February 195k, March over 300k same with April. May bill that was just released, 657,618k. I called their customer care line nothing. Sent a mail to Nerc but no reply from them yet.
