pls tell her nt to worry, the visa is hers already, i also faced the same issue when i had my interview in april, i got my visa abt 2weeks after my interview although the visa had been issued 2days after my interview, i understand how she feels cos i felt worse, but its all gud, her Visa is gonna be ready soonest.. AMEN

My interview experience:

Left home around 4:20am and arrived @ the embassy around 4:40am. At that time, I could count our numbers, but @ 5:40am...walter carrington was another village market.
We were divided according to our visa categories then observed all security protocols (d check no be beans o). Asked to open d medicals n got tags for payment.
Made payment inside the hall and submitted credentials( no1 collected d x-ray).

After a looong wait, d interview started with families (for immigrants) and I was the 1st single to be called @10:15am (my number beeped @ window 16). It was even @izzy that tapped me. At this point my people, my blood pressure increased (I no go lie).

Me: good morning
Co: good morning
Co: pls raise your hand and swear that all you say will be the truth.
Me: I promise to say the truth
Co: what is your highest level of edu?
Me: Bsc
Co: in what?
Me: bla bla
Co: name of school and what year?
Me: bla bla, 2007
Co: did you say 2010?

Co: where did you serve, state and what were you doing?

Me: bla bla bla
Co: why did you play the lottery?
Me: I want a fresh start
Co: have you ever applied for a US visa?

Me: wife?(With a smile) I'm not married
Co: okay( looks @ his system, checked my docs again and stares into my face)
@ dis point, I don calm down...no tension.

Na so interview finish o, he gave me 2 white papers and was explaining plenty things( I just dey look, I no listen again). But I remember him say I can pay my UCIS fee when I get to the states or before I leave.

I hav a fwend,also a forumite who's visa ws approved on d 12th Aug,buh due to distance and work tight up,she cldnt come on d said day for d pick up.To her amazement,on her arrival to Muri okunola yesterday for d pick up,she ws told dat her passport and packages hasn't arrived.she's confused and ws askin so many questns,d DHL attendants ws lik,do u hav any issues on ur DOCs?and she said NO,ds tym arnd she has gone back to d embassy ds morning.Though leta called me ds mornin after sendin a mail to dem,she said their reply ws dat her visa is nt yet ready.
So my question are:
1.What's her chances of getn her package
2.Is t dat there ws exclusion of her passport as part of d peep to be issued on d said day......pls she's stil there waitn for attendant,what shuld be done.Or she shuld jst hold on since dey hav given her a reply......pls ur responses r very crucial cos she's part of us and she hav long shared her interview testimony here.Thanks to my e-family.

@missbelle GC will only take 2 weeks to arrive here in new york where i stay, but i advice to ask your host to direct you to where u can do your SSN.. you dont need to wait for your GC to do that..

I really want to appreciate God for his wonderful,glorious and marvellous work in ma life.My interview ws so easy dan imagined....
I arrived @ d embassy exactly 4.45am,infact,d cab I boarded dropped me after d embassy,so I had 2 walk down 2 d embassy treking.To d glory of God I met buh few peep @ dat moment,within som few min,t looked as if d earth were loosed as many peep started trooping.if I cld count d num xactly,we cld be up to 300 in numbers btw 5.30 up as many were stil trooping.To d glory of we did all d security checks,infact d checkings isn't a child play o......buh e ws for our gud and accuracy in documentations.I also Met a woman who works in d embassy connected to me by Geenlion,she ws so helpful and all thanks goes to GEENLION.After all said and done,We matched to d Main hall for proper preparations,paid d visa fee,submitted my Documents @ window 17 and my num beepped @ window 16,an old handsome man,buh before dat I saw a slim young man who issued visas so easily without much querries and I ws praying to God to be called on dat same window,which is window 14,well to God glory d window 16 called my num and ds hw d interview went thus:

As for d police report,I fink d best way to havin t done @ lesser price is by avoiding negociation.I got to d alagbon police station,though wt an inspector's contact num,I told em I ws comin for my police clearance and he said he's waitn,wen I got there......he asked me to fill d form,I ws busy filling d form as though I know d amnt ts done for.After all d said and done,I collectd d stuff and handed 2k500 to him friendly and he said thank u.NOte:d price cn only get higher wen dey knw u r jjc....so ts all abt playin wise.Buh I do not hav an idea hw d Abuja's r,buh I bet,ts same nigeria police and shud be done d same way.Afterall,as a citizen,ts suppose to be free sef.
