I was just brainstorming and decided that it will be ideally straight forward to start with knowing what Shopify is. I wanted to start this training with the order on the table of the content above but this will help build up your mind about the whole concept of online business and how to channel your thinking precisely.

In my simple terms, Shopify is an online platform mainly for the purpose of selling your product and business to clients and customers. It's fairly different from your regular website, at least to a large extent because everything about it is centered on sales and marketing. it provides you with a whole lot of tools to help you better your business in several different ways.
Its an open platform that lets you basically connect your business to people on a larger audience mainly via social media like facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc. Whatever kind of business you plan on venturing into, Shopify is like a step to greater height.
What makes dropshipping so attractive and almost a first choice to people on Shopify? Simple, it has an array for tools that seamlessly connects the Shopify platform to sellers in china. Need I mention how stress-free it is to just find a product and Shopify does everything else? All you have to do is decide on a product you wish to sell and put it up on your store and that's it, once a buyer clicks on the product to buy, contacting the seller, paying the seller, shipping and every other thing is done by Shopify, you won't even have to click a button. Now you'll ask, how can you get customers for your online shop? That's where Facebook marketing comes in... we will cover that in its section of this training. Now that we understand what Shopify is, now we can proceed

Not everybody reading this content now have heard about drop shipping, and there are those of us who have heard but have absolutely no idea what the subject is and then some of us who know a whole lot but just can't manage to get things going for them properly.
We are all going to pretend like we are all newbies so here is what is dropshipping(it's a single word NOT drop shipping)?
The simple definition is taking goods from one seller and helping to sell it to a buyer at a profit. Simple eh?
Yes, that's just what it is about. But here let's break it down in detail and business terms.
You find a product which some persons are interested in buying, you go to aliexpress.com(a Chinese website where loads of people all over the world buy goods from for very cheap prices and good quality) to find a seller of that product for a reasonable amount, then you show the buyer(your customer) this product on your website when the person buys the product from your website, you, in turn, go to your Chinese seller from Aliexpress and order the product but this time, you will enter the exact details of your customer so that the product will be sent to your customer directly you are basically doing nothing at all but you keep the profit. Let's say you put a price tag of N10,000 on the product on your website but the Chinese supplier or seller is selling at N3,500 with shipping expenses included, the N6,500 difference becomes your profit. The maths you just saw is literally how you're going to make your profit, like nothing more, nothing less. This is not sugar coating, it's the exact laid out pure fact which some persons here are very well familiar with
Now, why can't the buyer just go directly to the Chinese seller? This is the question everyone asks. The answer is simple, there are many variables that could play a part to make these customers or buyers buy from you instead of going to let's say Jumia or aliexpress or Amazon. If I go to any one of the listed sites, am actually going to search for something that I WANT to buy for instance want a hair clipper, I'll simply go to any one of these websites and search for it specifically, meaning am going there on a mission of finding a hair clipper to buy. But in the case of drop shipping, you bring the product and advertise it to the customer. You brought the awareness to this customer, they may not necessarily need this product but you made them realize that this product could solve a problem for them, then they are most definitely buying your product and again, you must have created a channel to enable the customer reach you and find out more info about this product you are selling to them. So in the long run, you are have established a relationship with these customers, something the above-listed website won't do.
Also, these websites are actually huge markets for basically everything(every Niche) but your own isn't a market but a store because you into one particular Niche for instance fitness, all you do is sell fitness products like skipping ropes, dumbbells, yoga mats, etc. So you are targeting a particular audience which will, in turn, build trust but also long term commitment. You can even target a particular gender, for instance, women when you are into beauty Niche...
The above reason is why many people fail in this business, they try to sell any product that looks good to them in their Shopify store, from makeup kit to football jersey to phone accessories... Wow. wait, does it sound reasonable at all?

Its really sad brother. We heard stories of how our parents finished with similar grades and were handed fat pay jobs immediately they graduated. These stories spurred us to work very hard denying oneself of many pleasures in school plus plenty of extra curricular activities, only to graduate and discover a very different reality. You're not confused, it's just normal, I was once there.
Solution: pray, hustle, apply for jobs.
I'm benefited from the third. I got a federal government job without knowing anyone. We will all not be that lucky, just apply, have an open mind, you may just be lucky.
The other one I didn't do and I still feel bad about is to hustle. Bro, hustle, there is money on the street, no be yahoo o, legit money. You're a mechanical engineer, go learn the real thing from mechanic on the street or welder or refrigeration or generator, pick your option. In six months you should be proficient if you're truly smart...you have gotten skill. Go learn from is car section now, please correct me if I'm wrong, I hope you get, learn from YouTube....that way you will get latest info. Get tools.
With all these, you are armed to start your own business. Don't mind the days of humble beginning, you will succeed, if you are dedicated and honest. Your communication skill, your professional touch, yoir packaging will make the difference from the road side guys, and it will give you the edge. Your customers will be the upper class in the society and you will do good.
The journey may be rough, but you will surely get there.
In the interim, you will need money to get basic things, so learn dropshipping, publishing, domain selling, mini importation, any small thing that will not take to much of your time and will be able to sort your basic need and foot some of your running cost while you push to getting your goal.
Lastly and most importantly PRAY.
I hope this helps. I was almost suicidal after NYSC when i finished and everything was just zero, so I sort of understand you. Its well, you will be fine.
