Yes, we do have our own little rivalries between different tribes, but it's not that serious. We tease each other a lot. A few stereotypes here & there. Other tribes say we love money a lot, but who doesn't?

I saw this the other day & it made me chuckle.

We have the Gurage people here too, they love money. They are the most hardworking and peaceful Ethiopians. Almost all shop in Addis is owned by them. I just wish all Ethiopians were gurage, we could have been very successful

No don't worry, I won't mention it. That's really too bad. I'm shocked. I never knew things were that complex between Ethiopians. I guess they hide it better when they're here because they all seem to get along very well.

The ladies don't misbehave per say. They just come across a little ungrateful & rude. They will ask you to open the gate for them, when you do, they will just walk past you without even saying "Hello" or "Thanks". I find it odd. So now I just let them stand outside, out of spite, because they should be having their own remote control for the gate anyway.

We even hide it here. But not all Ethiopians hate eachother. I have many tigre friends I really like. We even feel free to talk about this issue because we trust eachother. I have many Oromo peaceful friends. But few Oromos and Tigrays are racist and go for attack. The story is very complex. . .nothing complex as Ethiopian politics.

Do you have any thing similar to this in South Africa? Any Zulu × Xhosa issue??

I think these two songs are incomparable. That Malian song it has a different vibe,different settings too.It has a more African settings like women with children in the back,women carrying stuffs in their head etc,and its quite good although I didn't understand the language

Not all tribes fight. Amharas and Tigrays could still get married but if you know what SOME Tigrays do to Amharas, you will never beleive me. And don't ask them about the attack. . .

Gecho is correct. It's a nick name used for the name Getachew, Getahun or Getasew. Like Miki for Michael.

It is sad that there are Ethiopians acting like this not being in their own country. That's misbehaving

Fikir is probably Amhara

Tesfai is definitely Tigre

Gecho is Getachew. . .hard to predict from which tribe even though it is Amharic word

Because Amhara emperors had a big influence in the country and made Amharic official. They stayed long on power so this culture stayed with the people

Although don't be mistaken. . .not all Amharic speakers belong to Amhara tribe. The official language is Amharic so any Ethiopian uses the language

Amharas actually won't attack. I am Amhara my self. Oromos and Tigray attack Amharas. Ethiopians look calm but when they are mad. . . you don't know them I swear. I don't want to expose my self for security purpose. . . the country is not doing good on tribal stuff. Especially me being Amhara makes me victim.

Let me tell you something. The ones we see popular in Africa are the ones making some unnecessary video clips with bling bling. . .especially Nigeria. They do have great songs but you can't call it real.

Hear Mali songs then you will know real. True African culture vibe is lost in the popular ones. I will take Omoua Sangare as an inspiration. Mali songs are not famous as Nigeria songs. I also admire Fuse dog from Ghana. He is so much better than other popular ones.

Ahhh, leave them. They are going crazy. Now everyone is trying to defend themselves using their identity. For example if blame a criminal man from Oromo tribe and if you are from other tribe. . .that man is going to start yelling "you are pointing at me because i am Oromo!". What a stupid excuse. Tanzania's artists shoot everywhere. They shoot here in Tz,and abroad! Government don't force them where to shoot videos.Its just some of our artists are international figures.They do many collaborations,and they use many international guys to improve! Its just a normal thing to expand internationally. Music is a business don't forget that

Dar es salaam is beautiful so as other parts of Tanzania like Zanzibar, national parks,beaches,Kilimanjaro, our estates,and lakes,marine parks,and many other places which are real good for videos.

They have announced it long ago. The Ethiopian government had to pass through a process before making a deal beacuse this is serious. Some foreign companies has announced their eagerness to participate. . .I think one of it was vodafone/MTN
