Kur17:The reason why you said this is because I said I only know the massai people? You haven't quoted Ethiopia but it looks like that. You need to take it this way too. . .maybe you guys aren't also informing about yourself well. Kenyans in here know about TPLF because we Ethiopians talk about it here. How many times have you guys informed us about your culture. As a kenyan nation, that was also your responsibility if you want people to know about you. Am not saying you havent informed us about your country, yes you did. But you havent done enough on your culture and tradition. Just make sure you did your part |
Kur17:Who are they? Are you talking about the massai people? |
tlann:It was the job of our government for 27 years. If Ethiopians come together, they will throw the government off power. . . so, they trained armies from different tribes then paid them to go and bring conflict between the tribes. Today, every region of Ethiopia is owned by single ethnic group except Addis Ababa. Addis Ababa is the only city with no ownership of a single ethnic group. |
Kur17:When it comes to tribe or culture, I knew many things on nairaland. Many of the Kenyans here don't post pictures of their culture but their cities |
TayserMahiri:Ohhhh. . . I get you now. 'Selamawit' is funny hehehehe Then you benter take my opinion nicely, Because I've known you for a long time here. Your post shocked me so I wanted to correct you (as a friend). Misunderstanding happens a lot For example Nigerians and Ethiopians use the word 'fine' for different purpose. Fine means nice in Nigeria and it means healthy in Ethiopia hehehe |
tlann:We have more than 80 tribes, Major ones (in population) are Oromo Amhara Tigray Debub (southerns) Somali Afar Gambler Benishangul Gumuz Borena people are still Oromos. Oromos have the biggest population here |
tlann:wow, now I know. I've been asking about tribes in Kenya but no one passed me the info |
TayserMahiri:If you have to know, I have ended my conversation with that guy. You may need points to defend your self. . . but it's not this way. You can't bring up God's work to attack anyone. Why don't you defend yourself by showing that you Kenyans are better in your work not by what God has given you naturally. You may have wanted to attack Nigerians but you attacked Africans as a whole. Why are you still talking about high standards, you are mentioning it again. No one is inferior here. Stop the low standard high standard thing. It isn't necessary. I love your self confidence and self esteem but sometimes the way you are looking at yourself if going the wrong direction. And also you still think am coming after Kenya and supporting others. I have no issue with nationality. Why won't you come from mars? If you are saying the right thing I will support you |
tlann:Really? wow, thanks for the info. Never heard of the name 'luhya'. Only know the massai tribe in kenya |
Lionessza6:Hehe, seriously. They bleach a lot. Their face is insanely white and their other body is insanely black. Sorry to say this but when you even look at them. . . you feel like their face don't belong to their body. It makes to different parts Imagine how whites feel for us. If I was white, I would go like 'these people are so much trying to look like me' |
Jonraid:Thanks! |
Jonraid:It's like only dark skinned people love dark skin. But the light skinned Africans find the dark ones ugly. The dark skinned like it because they have no choice but accept what they look. Some leave it as it is then some bleach, which makes them look like a Zebra. This isn't correct, I don't have to be dark skinned to like the color. Here in Ethiopia also we have light skinned and dark skinned people. Because I am not dark, I am not going to go ahead and say 'We Ethiopians are dark skinned but i am not'. MAJORITY AFRICANS ARE DARK SKINNED AND SO I AM. Stop being individualists.. . |
. |
Jonraid:You guys are serious in rugby lol. You guys have a player named 'injera' right? 'Injera' is our food here. . . What do Injera mean in your country language? |
rvp2018:Yes, there is no winning in nature. Dark skin, light skin, Brown, big lips, small lips etc. . . only nature is perfect, it was all made for a reason. It is also beautiful. If you don't learn how beautiful and perfect it is, it is very sad. Personally, sorry to say this but I rather prefer looking like an African than white. I just love the way we naturally look. |
TayserMahiri:Your post remind me of the fight that Kenyans and Nigerians had on Twitter, saying one is dark skinned more than the other. . . . First, we all are Africans, being dark skinned and is our thing. Both of you are dark skinned people. Secondly, why is it being taken as a problem having dark skin? Who said it is bad? Here also, you are talking about nose. I see inferiority in your post. You are making Africans inferior here. And then you are talking about how you Kenyans are making Africa rise. It clashes. Before you talk about that, respect who you are and where you came from. Or else, no one will. Because you have a thin and long nose, it doesn't mean you have to go ahead and say some about others? Who even said yours is better? I just don't know why you broght this up in here. It may be a joke but there are acceptable jokes. Tayser, what happened to you? |
bantudra:What logic are you talking about? Who is sticking with you in the very first place Get well |
[/b]Be proud having the bicycle you made rather than the car someone made you.[/b]Don't debate on the things you haven't acheived, but the white people did. You may have great pictures to upload here, but it still won't make sense unless you found out how it was made. |
bantudra:I don't know if this is funny or sad or both. For us Africans to communicate, we use other people language. To understand eachother, we use English. Uhhhh |
Jay254:ALMOST |
kikuyu1:African governors are doing their job, they are swallowing money. If they weren't powerless, then how could we have a powerful leader like Abiy today. Yes, there is the western supremacy, but it won't make you powerless that much. The whites may want to weaken us, but what do you call it when our leader do More than that? C'mon |
bantudra:North Africans are still Africans. But it bugs me that Morocco didn't want to be a member of African union for long. I think she is a member now. . . If other North Africans are ignorant as Morocco people were, they better correct it. To North Africans - don't choose Africa because Europe rejected you. White people are going to fool you and leave you like Morocco. White people don't want any one related anyway with Africa. |
Lionessza6:The past government had been trying so many things to break Ethiopia. They tried to break us by letting Christians and Muslims fight, by the way after Abiy came to power, the bad guys burnt 14 of our Orthodox churches and our priests themselves died in there. They wanted us to fight with our Muslim brothers but we can't betray them because we have lived with them peacefully for long and we know that it wasn't them who did it. They have been creating lies to let different tribes fight. They even entered our Orthodox Church. They were close to segregating our church. They have been misleading us with our history. They have been hiding the truth. The people of Ethiopia has suffered through many things. Today, the cabinet consists of people from different tribes. Our prime minister and vice prime minister are from different tribes and religion. But we need a medicine that help us forget the past because still, we are suspicious on anyone's work relating him with his tribe. |
TayserMahiri:Today Ethiopia isn't ancient Ethiopia. But I know one thing, and it is that I won't fall for the new Ethiopia. I will keep chasing the knowledge of my ancestors and their strength. I will educate my self my own way by digging the secret of ancient Ethiopia success. And I will always keep trying to motivate and change people around me. The presence of Abiy has somehow let Ethiopians see what type of country they are in. |
TayserMahiri:Nice joke, lol |
sufferNsmiling:The whole Africa is in a mess, because of the decision of our government has made. It is embarrassing! Our government keep borrowing money with out permission or willingness of the people, but even 100% of the money isn't given to us but to their stomach. Then we or the next generation is obliged to pay for that. All we inherit here is a bid but nothing else. |
Lionessza6:You are right, many African nations don't even want to be conscious. They only care for useless things. When it comes to China, here is how it goes down. . . China keeps helping Africa for the loan, we keep borrowing with out limits. Because they are helping us with the money, we are required to feed their population giving them the job opportunity. If we go against them and prefer to give chance for our nations for the mega projects, they will warn us to give back the money we have borrowed (them knowing we will never acheive that). Then if we are un able to give back the money, what do we know? Our country may be sold. I don't know how true it is but I heard it from a trusted source. Today, the bid Ethiopia has exceeded that when calculated, every Ethiopian is required to pay 3000ETB or 100 USD to finish paying. Imagine! It is all interlocked, we can't run away from China. Once we got in this mess, it gets worse and worse. Why do you think we aren't colonized as ancient slaves? It is because we all are falling on the whites plan and this time it is worse. They are eating all the money, and we aren't fighting them. We are even calling them our saviour because they throw us bag of food we made ourself indirectly. Ayyyy, Africa is a mess. About our new leader and new cabinet, I am very happy. Leaders who truly know about their country and prioritize country issue before individual need are hard to find in Africa. I hope we have him here. Our women which are appointed are found well too. More than anything, I feel really lucky to see justice in here. Highly corrupt officials are being handed, and so many good things are being seen. But still, we need to pray. There are many things to clear up here. And thanks! Where have you been though? Been long meeting you. . . |
darfay:There is good and bad every where. My country has been disrespected by Nigerians, and I've also met Nigerians who appreciated my country again. There are disrespecting Ethiopians as there are good too. I am not trying to defend Kenyans. I don't remain silent all the time. If Kenyans go wrong, I try correcting them. Because a Nigerian dissapointed me, am not going to laugh at any of the issue the country is suffering through. If my goal is defending, it should be all about defending. Not attack. |
tlann:Sorry, I thought they were sold. |
tlann:You get me. There is a red line many of us are crossing here. Patriotism doesn't mean defending self offending other. That is not the meaning of real patriotism. The offense occurs when you jump out of patriotism, then you are mislead |
Jonraid:It has been long since I've heard from Kenya airways. The last time I heard from your airways, is when you sold aeroplanes.I heard it was due to loss. How is your airway doing now? |
