Romance › Re: Please Why Do People Do This When buying roadside Corn ? by ednut1(m): 3:19am On Sep 21, 2023 |
fyzaila: Why must you press press virtually all the roasted corn available before picking one? Why? To me it is unhygienic. You'll carry unwashed hands from no where, after scratching all the itchy part of your body with that hand. Then, you come and start sampling roasted corn all in the name of you're looking for soft one.
The other worst one is those who sample boiled corn. They'll tell the seller to open it and they'll now press, that's how they'll keep on doing that till they finally select one.
If you know you do that, can you please stop? It's quite irritating 😒 watch videos of Indian street food vendors you go know say Nigeria dey try. The corn is ontop heat na. No germs can survive that |

Ironsi introduced unitary system. Stop trying to revise history.
Igbos have been VP, Senate presidents, CBN governors, Finance Minister, Labor etc . They have also held other key posts like Major Ihejirika. They have also been awarded many govt contracts (Arthur Eze, Ernest Obiejesi, Okorocha, offor, etc).
some of your tribesmen have contributed to visa difficulties and bans due to drug trafficking (my own tribe self follow with 419 and Yahoo) . Every major tribe has contributed to the Nigeria we have today. |

I really do pity many that works in ajah, Lagos and stay in ikorodu or mowe ibafo. in terms of transportation and stress, those guys pay more than those who work and stay on the island. so village is a no for me mortuary business dey succeed 🙄 |

Celepope: I have been on Nairaland for quite awhile and this dude Sukkot is one of the most pitiful people I’ve ever come across on this forum. He always sound depressed I guess it’s owing to his failure in his sojourn abroad. People that behave this way are mostly people that were either deported or were miserable and feel the system rigged them out. We have millions of people doing well abroad but he only chooses the stories of those not doing well to fuel his frustration. God forbid I have this kind of people around me. he probably hasn’t left Nigeria or he failed in the abroad despite been born there so can’t stand people coming to succeed in same place |

tshtsh: I learnt long ago that building wealth and attaining financial freedom is a very slow process that requires consistency and perseverance. The Nigerian culture can be oppressive hence people feel they need to acquire things they don’t need or can barely afford to prove to others that they’ve arrived. I don’t subscribe to that and I enjoy my peaceful life. My 15 year old Camry is there in Lagos. Once I’m in naija I start it and drive around. Some people have been telling me that as I’m in Canada I ought to have shipped in a better car but I no send them. Even in the Toronto I don’t have a car. Rented an apartment 2 mins walk from a subway station / bus station and it’s serving me well. I no dey compete lol even me i left my 05 camry in 9ja for a relative , used it when I went to Nigeria last year and some people were telling me the same thing you are saying lol. Here self I bought the cheapest car in the Toyota dealership which was camry, some people were telling me I should have gone for benz or bmw. I was like nawa o🤣🤣. You go see someone earning 70k a year and buying 2022 benz wahala |

Please if anyone can find that video post it here. People are complaining bro. Question is are yyouu listening ? same guy could have been in Nigeria and not still make it. Ajibade123: If someone goes to the UK with his/her spouse through work visa, how many years can the person stay there legally after completing the degree(post graduate) work visa and study visa are two different things. On work visa you need to live and work there for 5 years to qualify for permanent stay. For study visa too you must work in uk legally for 5 years to qualify for ILR |
