Is tomorrow public holiday? Government is yet to make any pronouncement about it. |
We can overlook indomie, spaghetti etc but you see garri, beans, yam and rice, these are basic food commodities that many Nigerians cannot afford not to have in their homes. The moment the prices of the aforementioned commodities get beyond the reach of the common man especially the 'middle class', government should be ready for a serious backlash. |
Sabadon:You are right. But you see it's not always that easy especially when you suffered so much to acquire such accessories or properties. Few days ago, a keke was snatched from one young man at a gunpoint by armed robbers. This particular tricycle was still brand new and it was on higher purchase agreement. In the process of dragging it, the young man was shot on the hand. Not only will he battle to take care of his hospital bill. When discharged he will still have some explanation to do at police station since keke does not belong to him. |

The Yobe Microfinance Bank says it has launched a “ram loans scheme” for Sallah celebrations. Sheriff Almuhajir, the bank’s chief executive officer (CEO), disclosed this in an interview with NAN in Damaturu on Thursday. The financial institution is a state-licensed microfinance bank in Yobe state, north eastern Nigeria. Almuhajir said the bank has initiated a N150 million facility to enable its customers to purchase animals for sacrifice during the Eid el-Adha celebration, slated for June 16. Eid el-Adha, also known as the ‘feast of sacrifice’, is the second of the two main holidays celebrated in Islam to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God’s command. The sacrifice of animals such as rams, sheep, cattle, and goats is a symbolic ritual performed by Muslims across the globe to celebrate the day. “This loan scheme is designed to support civil servants in Yobe, especially those working with state and local councils during the festive season,” Almuhajir said. The bank’s CEO said the facility would be carried out under the Sallah ram loans scheme and divided into categories A and B for disbursement. According to Almuhajir, customers in category A would receive N150,000, while those in category B would receive N75,000. He said the loan would be repaid monthly, with customers in category A paying N6,000; while those in the second group would pay N3,300. Almuhajir said the conditions for obtaining the loan include having an account with the bank with a minimum balance of N2,500 for automated teller machine (ATM) cards and other services. The CEO said applicants must purchase a form from the banking hall for N1,000 and be civil servants on the payroll of the state or local government councils. Other requirements include the provision of two passport photographs, the national identification number (NIN), a payment slip and other relevant documents. He said the initiative aims to assist individuals and families who may not be able to immediately afford a ram for the festivities. https://www.thecable.ng/extra-yobe-microfinance-bank-launches-ram-loans-scheme-for-sallah-celebrations/amp/

Another old tweet from the same guy. It is worrisome to think that he is the senior special assistant to the Lagos governor on media.

Actress Rita Dominic has seemingly reacted to an old tweet of an All Progressives Congress supporter allegedly calling her a prostitute. In the tweet which has gone viral, the Twitter user @Riddwane allegedly called Rita Dominic a prostitute for expressing her support for former President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 election. This comes after the same APC supporter's tweet for defamers to be punished. See the tweet below… https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2024/6/karma-rita-dominic-writes-as-nigerians-dig-up-old-tweet-of-an-apc-supporter-allegedly-calling-her-a-prostitute-2.html

Where are the people celebrating? You should have included pictures to justify your claim. It's obvious you are bias. I personally i love it. |
They should use the same amount of energy they used in passing the new national anthem in negotiating for new minimum wage and its quick passage into law. |

I remember visiting Degema in 2014. The electricity then was 24/7 except during heavy rain. |
Appletek:And he agreed to their terms knowing fully well that that's the only way to 'catch them'. The funny thing is that they won't even smell or enjoy the money. |
Nonexisting1:The man is an organ harvester. They are not the first. He knows that for this kind economy, it will be difficult for one to reject one million naira. One million naira is a peanut compared to what he will gain by selling their organs. Unfortunately or fortunately, nemesis caught up with him this time around. |
Tjra:Since they got infected by BATeria. |

Karma is a bit.ch. This present government fought the president Goodluck Jonathan administration with everything just to be in power. Our people have this saying that you may not really understand the nature of a thing until you are given the opportunity to deal directly with that same thing. Those who thought President Goodluck was weak leader are beginning to see that to govern a country like Nigeria is not an easy fest. The funny thing about this present administration just like Buhari's administration is there's never a proper plan on how to govern Nigeria. Everything is hinged on trial and error. May God help His people especially that didn't vote the present administration. |
...and Nigerian politicians too. |
Well I'm not surprise considering the fact that those who killed the five army officers operated with an SUV similar to that of government officials. |
vybzkartel:Except the boss has dipped his hand in the cookie's jar, he should suspend or get her fired. |
This will go a long way to ameliorate the situation. |
Nowadays, we don't even know when people are saying the truth versus when they are trying to generate content for their social media. |
