AgricultureWhich Varieties Of Pineapple Do Juice Companies Buy? by edoman2016(op): 3:26pm On Apr 25, 2017
Please, I need advice. I want to start pineapple plantation business on a medium scale. I want to ask between sugar loaf pineapple and smooth cayenne pineapple which one do juice companies like chivita prefer and buy from pineapple farmers? Since I intend to sell it in commercial quantities after harvest.

Waiting for response to my enquiry

BusinessIdea Or Capital, Which Is More Valuable In Starting A Business? by edoman2016(op): 4:36pm On Apr 22, 2017
I was having a discussion with a friend and the issue between a good business ideas or capital, which is more valuable. My friend believes that capital is more important because according to him without capital it will be difficult to execute the business ideas into reality. That is the idea will remain on paper without capital. He believes that the man of means (capital) will always employ the man of intelligence (ideas).

However, from my point of view, I disagree with him. I believe a good idea is the most valuable. Ideas rule the world and all solid businesses in the world are founded on good ideas. There are a lot of individuals with capital that still don't know what business embark upon. And I also know businesses that started with huge capital that shut down within a short period. The problem is simply because they lack good ideas.
So, which one do you think is more valuable between idea or capital, when starting a business?

FoodCotonou Pineapple Vs Bendel Pineapple, Which Is Your Favourite? by edoman2016(op): 7:19pm On Mar 26, 2017
Last week, i went to ketu fruit market to buy some pineapples. I noticed there were two varieties of pineapple sold in the market. They were cotonou pineapple and bendel(nigerian) pineapple. So, i bought each quantities of bendel and cotonou pineapple equally. When i ate both the pineapples at home, i discovered that the cotonou pineapple is sweeter, less acidic and tastier than bendel pineapple. Even though the bendel pineapple is more expensive that it. I end up prefering to be buying cotonou pineapple to bendel (nigerian) pineapple. I felt bad because my actions will not support our local farmers but i still like the cotonou pineapple.
So between the two pineapples, which one do you prefer and why?
BusinessRe: All Yes P Participants Come Out And Protest Against BOI On Monday by edoman2016(op): 8:47am On Mar 05, 2017
@orangeDream, are you serious? The protest has been cancelled?! Then we are our worst enemy. Do yes-p participants know that tomorrow will make it exactly one year this programme started and yet nothing to show for it. Federal government and Nigerians need to be aware of it through the protest.
Other empowerment programme like Lagos state trust fund that commenced last October ,their beneficiaries have been fully disbursed last month.
The fact is BOI Yes-p is a time waster. The earlier we summon courage and protest against BOI, the better. Or else we won't have access to the fund to actualize our entrepreneurial dreams.
BusinessAll Yes P Participants Come Out And Protest Against BOI On Monday by edoman2016(op): 1:21pm On Mar 04, 2017
All Yes P participants and youths that love this country should come out on monday by 9 am at TBS lagos to protest against BOI at their marina office. This is not just a protest. It has to do with the future of youths in this country. We must hold responsible those that always divert governmental programme for nigerian youth to their selfish interests. Lets show the whole world how BOI has been changine the goal post in the middle of a game so as to frustrate nigerian youths. Lets tell the world how ridiculous the guarantors criteria are.

BusinessRe: Bank Of Industry YES Programme Shortlist by edoman2016: 9:50am On Feb 06, 2017
i don't know why BOI can not allow us to use part of working capital to rent factory or office. This BOI sucks big time.
BusinessRe: Bank Of Industry YES Programme Shortlist by edoman2016: 10:24pm On Feb 03, 2017
@dexter1983, is it true that applicants need to personally secure or rent a factory space/office before BOI can appraise and grant the loan application. Also are you an exsting or new business? It seems it is only existing business that has been given offer letter yet.

Because that is what my loan officer is just telling me. He said i must have rent a factory space before he can appraise my documentation for pucurement of machinery and equipment. I taught there is a provision for working capital in YES-P loan. Anyone should reply me cause i do not understand this BOI anymore.

@itsMaxwell, I think it's wrong for you to post somebody's phone number on this popular forum without his permission. I think you should remove it. It's more or less invasion of his privacy. I am sure everybody under BOI YES-P Ogun state knows the owner of that number. Why make it public?
FamilyRe: Oya Drop Your Christmas Wish Now.. by edoman2016: 9:35am On Dec 23, 2016
My Christmas wish is a television, even if it is fairly used. My family has no television to watch at home and I feel ashamed for them going to neighbour apartment to watch TV Programme. It's embarrassing.

Things are so tough for me as regards raising capital to start a business that's why I am yet to afford a TV presently. I hope God bring a helper to me.

@mavoro, I read the article on thisday newspaper as well. It testifies that our northern candidates are facing the difficulties of stringent conditions by BOI. Federal Government need to aid us.

No wonder the senate want to scrap BOI. Useless bank.
BusinessRe: Bank Of Industry YES Programme Shortlist by edoman2016: 7:14am On Dec 17, 2016
This is so bad for BOI. It is a slavery relationship between us any them. Can't they emulate what CBN did for NYSC corpers in YEIDP? CBN had to change their guarantor conditions when they discover that it's too strict and later make it easy for them so that they can access the loan to fund their businesses.
Federal government made a huge mistake in partnering with BOI for the yes-p. BOI is just like commercial banks ready to frustrate beneficiaries of the loan. What made youwin Programme of Jonathan a success was because federal ministry of finance personally handle the disbursement of funds to winners. They did not partner with any banks. They did it themselves so all this stringent conditions would not come up.
