Hello all!

Please, as a single lady, what can I do for this married man that always come through for me. This man has really been helpful to me whenever I'm in a tight corner/condition. Sometimes, I don't even ask him directly for some of the assistances he usually render to me. Sometimes, it would be indirect, and he would just offer to assist me.

So, I really want to know what I can do for him to show my appreciation in my own little way and let him know that I really appreciate his kind gestures towards me.

Please, I would really appreciate your suggestions/opinions.

i am an ardherent follower of my pastor on facebook but what he did yesterday morning shocked me so much.
my pastor is partisan and an Apc supporter,dont get me wrong everyone has the right to support their choice party it was all good and peaceful during the campaign season but the election turned out to be violent and bloody,lives were lost,people were maimed and injured, tribalism became the order of the day what all these wouldnt it be better for a pastor to remain silent and neutral and never meddle into poltical affairs.
my pastor went ahead to sing praises to tinubu and indirectly called yoruba nation and ipob agitatators terrorists i just laugh so called nen of God of from the underworld,being religious doesnt equate having conscience even atheist can do better,i have quit the church i am going to jehovahs witnesses from now on.

FROM what I have observed from Nigeria style of democracy is that the incumbent president, decide what happens in the country.
first of all the president appoint inec chairman and he has some control over them
secondly, he appoints some judicial officers in the country, and to some level have control over them

so my point is that if obedient want to reclaim thier presidential mandates,without going to the court. obi have to consult the incumbent president with some former president like obasanjo,and goodluck Jonathan,to meet president buhari. believe me inec chairman can never go against the president ,I mean incumbent president in some decisions

Dear Nairalanders,
I have an issue that has been on my mind for weeks now. My fiancé and I have been dating for over three years. I love him and he loves me too. We are physically attracted to each other. We’re both catholic but since I graduated, during my service year I gave my life to Christ, got saved and left the Catholic Church. So I’ve been a Pentecostal Christian since then. He on the other hand is still catholic. I subtly try to nudge him to consider getting saved, i.e acknowledging Christ as lord and savior and becoming born again but he is content with his laidback Christian life.

Earlier this year, he asked to meet my parents and I let him. My parents like him especially because my younger sis is married and they have been waiting for me too. They’re glad I’ve someone. However, after the introduction,I regret it. I’m now certain that he’s not the one. I think about my spiritual life and how lukewarm he is about the things of God, I think about kids and how we’ll raise the, with such differing views about God and I’m discouraged. I feel like I’m settling because he checks all the boxes on the checklist of physical attributes. Another mistake I made is, I didn’t pray about this decision and that worries me because anything that involves him,I just act with pausing to ask God, but I always ask God about other aspects of my life. So it’s like my associating with him is a minus for my spiritual life and that’s a huge cause for concern.

At this point, I want to tell my parents I am not convinced it’s him but I’m afraid of the disappointment this will cause. *sigh* I’ll appreciate your thoughts, comments, criticisms...

my advice is if you can change him ,go ahead with the marriage , since you are a female I believe you can do it with power of GOD,but if he is a male please quit the marriage, because a woman can change a man but a man can never change a woman

The Federal High Court Abuja on Wednesday fixed June 23 for the hearing of the suit instituted by the South-Eastern group, Alaigbo Development Foundation, against the National Judicial Commission over the appointment of judges to the Court of Appeal.

In suit No FHC/ABJ/CS/347/21, the Incorporated Trustees of the foundation sued the NJC, Federal Judicial Service Commission, President of the Court of Appeal, Federal Character Commission, and the Attorney-General of the Federation as 1st to 5th defendants respectively.

The group asked the court, in its originating summons, to determine whether the defendants can disregard the principle of fairness, due process, and federal character in the appointment of judges to the Court of Appeal, with regards to the South-East Zone of Nigeria.

It also asked the court to determine whether the South-East was not entitled to three slots in the ongoing appointment of judges to the Court of Appeal to fill up the vacancies that were caused by the elevation, retirement, and death of the three justices of the Court of Appeal from the zone.







The group prayed the court to declare the actions of the NJC, FJSC, and the President of the Court of Appeal as unjustifiable and unconstitutional for only allocating one slot to the South East.

It also prayed the court to declare that the zone was entitled to three slots in the ongoing appointment exercise and restrain the defendants from continuing with the exercise until the South East is accorded their rightful slots.

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has said the South-East producing the next president will help in addressing the feelings of marginalisation in the region.

He, however, lamented that the 1999 Constitution doesn’t support zoning, which would have boosted the chance of the region in the 2023 presidential election.

Ngige who spoke during Channels Television’s Newsnight programme stated that what suits the current situation is the 1995 Constitution by the late General Sani Abacha.
