oluwaleokey: Gurus in the house please i need guidance regarding my insurance policy issue, i know this might not be the right thread however its still boils down to investment.
Five years ago, I subscribed to the Flex Edu Insurance Policy with First Bank Insurance for my daughter’s education, which was due to mature this year. Along the way, the policy management was moved to Sanlam Nigeria (a partner company, as I was informed). Despite the transition, everything seemed smooth until recently.
A few weeks before the maturity date, I contacted the company to confirm that all was in order. They responded promptly, acknowledged the upcoming maturity, and provided me with a statement of account. (Also note I had exchange several mails before and they responded swiftly)
Five days before maturity, I was forwarded a form & asked to complete a payment voucher for the full benefit. However, it has now been several weeks since maturity, and I am yet to receive any payment. To make matters worse, I even noticed an over-debit on my account, which I raised with the company, but my emails have since gone unanswered. I have sent multiple follow-ups to every contact I have, including those I previously engaged with, but there has been no response.
Currently, I can no longer access my account online, which raises even more concern. After diligently saving monthly for five years for my daughter’s education, I feel deeply frustrated and disappointed by this experience.
I kindly seek your advice on how best to call out these people? How I can recover my funds after years of committed savings.
Is First Bank Insurance is still directly involved in this matter? and What formal steps I can take to escalate this issue if Sanlam Nigeria continues to be unresponsive
This situation feels unfair and distressing, and I would appreciate any support, guidance, or escalation channels you can provide to help resolve it.
I will appreciate every single help I could get on here Thanks The organization is on Facebook. Just go on Facebook to drag them the way Agberos collect tax from transporters. Just tell them Emilokon, that it is your daughter's turn to collect the insurance policy. If the organization is not corperating with you, then you have to involve NAICOM.

Before you buy any shares of any company, always ask yourself this important question. Would I have bought this company if it were only possible to sell only after 20 years? Don't forget an intelligent real estate investor will never build his/her property in a location where good rent is not guaranteed. |

Muzil: Good morning everyone. I discovered today that the trading of stocks feature have been added to the Cowrywise app. I'd appreciate anyone that can help me with the stocks I can buy as a newbie. I'm not after excessive profit as I just want a way for my little savings to appreciate rather than just sitting idly in my account.
NB: I am a young guy currently undergoing apprenticeship so I'm not really buoyant. Let's just say I have about 20k for a start.
I'll really appreciate all help I can receive. Just buy Access Holdings Plc. Any time you get free money always top up Access Holdings Plc. You will gain dividend and capital appreciation in due time .

I bought some Zenith Bank shares in my trading portfolio yesterday at 67 Naira and I sold this morning at 70 Naira. I made about 1.5 percent after buy and sell commission! A little drop of water make a mighty ocean. |

ElectronicMoney: I need advise on how best to approach this problem.
In June 2007 I made a deposit of N100K to a stockbroking firm for the purchase of shares of Wema Bank.
After the shares were purchased they gave me my CSCS number and the CHN and I had no further contact with the stockbroking firm; this was partly because the market was not doing so well and the price of shares had crashed.
In 2015 or thereabouts I went to the office of the stockbroking firm and learnt that they had moved to another address.
Now early this month when I heard that shares had started going up in price I searched for the company online and was able to get their new address and their phone numbers.
I put a call to them and asked for a copy of my CSCS statement which was sent to me.
When I examined it I was shocked to see that the number of Wema Bank shares was just 1,700 approximately when in actual fact it should be above 20,000.
Let me state categorically that I have never given instruction to sell either verbally or in writing!
Even if there was capital reconstruction by Wema Bank between 2007 and 2025 there is no way shares of N100K which were purchased in 2007 would have reduced to just 1,700.
I need advise on how best to approach this matter because I am very sure that something does not add up. How much was the purchase price per unit in 2007? Below is the shares reconstruction news:

DeRuggedProff: Brethren, let us remember that wisdom dwelleth not in many words alone, but in the quietness of silence and in the patience of waiting. For it is written, The prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time. Beloved, consider that every man investeth with his own silver, and not with thine. Therefore let each man choose his season to buy, and the portion he desireth, and the manner thereof; for surely, if there be a loss, it shall not be taken from thy lot.
Shalom. So,you lack wisdom because you are fond of using many words. May the good God bless you with 10 million units of Zenith Bank shares! |

THIS IS FOR NEW INVESTORS
Beware of wolves(dishonest investors) who are always in the habit of telling new investors to buy stocks of companies whose liabilities are more than their assets.
These are companies that are always declaring quarterly losses and without consistent dividends.
I have known for a long time that the junk stocks monkey hunters make use of the principle of 'herd mentality' !
And this forum is their avenue for enticing and attracting innocent newbies to their targeted stocks. It is the unsuspecting investors that bring the needed demands that lead to a quick increase in price . When the price gets to their target, they start selling to book profit.
Their sole aim of buying most stocks is to pump and dump in order to book quick profit.
They are never long term investors in the companies they are marketing for their monkey hunting business.
You are 90 percent liable to lose your invested money because these companies are very likely to go bankrupt. |
