Locotrader: You should know the difference between inorganic and organic.
Inorganic, the bids fades easily Organic, the bids gives way to liquidity. Can you see the bids are there and the volume is increasing. This is the real organic bids. Japaul will do over 100m units today on renewed optimisms.
You go learn tire I still insist that the majority of the bids are inorganic. The bids are meant to pump the stock price to the intended target price! You still wanna school me? |

jeshurun08: The FUGAZ banks maybe but all the rest will have to fight for their breakfast in the emerging economy in a few years time. Unfortunately, where we are is part of the problem. If other sectors were performing, no one will really reckon with banks. Nigeria as it is constituted right now is a rent-taking entity not yet a producing economy. However with the stride PBAT is making, things are going to change very soon. Fidelity, WEMA, Stanbic and Jaiz would surely be successful in the next 50 years. |

Fred2020: If Nigeria’s economy became more productive and stable, banks would likely earn less.
Today, they profit heavily from charges on basic services account maintenance, transfers, cards, alerts and from close political ties that ensure rules favor them in reviewing these prices upward even when the larger economy was slowing down.
In developed economies, these services are free, and banks make money from core lending and investments. A stronger Nigeria would push banks toward real value creation, cutting easy, fee-based profits. When do you think a stronger Nigeria will emerge? Maybe from 2075 is when what you just described will be possible. |

jeshurun08: Banking in Nigeria and all over the world is about to be disrupted megally. Look at what fintechs have done in the last 10 years. Don't be deceived o I repeat, banks like Zenith, Access,UBA,Stanbic, GTBANK,Fidelity,WEMA,Jaiz and First Bank will continue to declare profit every year from 2025 till 2075. Banks make money every seconds from their physical office and online(this takes place 24 hours of the day). Banking business is more lucrative than production of goods. |

crownprince2017: Educo will never seize to amaze me, how do you know that those companies will exist for another 45 years with the good earnings, history is your friend, many like you thought bank phb, intercontinental etc will live till 2025 but what is the reality today.
You also need to understand that risk comes with age and capital, I'm sure if you ask paa Emma he would educate you well on this.
Nobody has a narrow view about stock market that does well, you are as good as banking on luck and that is not a strategy.
Its better to determine your luck by constantly looking for opportunities. Any Nigerian bank that declare loss is a scam! Banking is very lucrative in Nigeria and in 100 years time it will remain so. Hoping is not part of my investment strategy. I only invest in stocks of succesful companies. |

As a matter of fact that dividend last year is 200% higher than what was paid 10 years ago.
Invest in companies that are market leaders, that are highly efficient, quality earning, above average Return on Invested Capital, that has moat, dividend paid is 80% or less of their Free Cash Flow., quality stocks that can withstand economic challenges
Unfortunately most of what we buy here are junks, please pardon my language The gang of money doublers and monkey hunters will soon say you're jealous of their money making feats |

emmanuelewumi: You can invest N10,000 in a stock and start earning dividends that will be paid into your bank account immediately, another person can invest N30 million in real estate and yet can't start earning rental income from it That is why l like dividend stocks, you can even start with ₦1000;but you cannot buy a piece of land with ₦1000. |

emmanuelewumi: You guys are funny sha comparing N2 billion worth of GTB shares that is quoted on NGX and London Stock Exchange that gave a dividend of N180 million in 2024 with a property of N500 million that will probably struggled. to generate a rental income of N30 million per annum
If you said a bank will prefer a N500 million property to N2 billion worth of Ellah Lakes shares, I will agree with you How do you expect folks who only invest in Ellah lekos, universal insurance and royalex to know that GTCO or Zenith shares is superior to any real estate investment? From 2005 till now,GTCO, Zenith,UBA and Access Bank have performed excellently in terms of earnings and dividends. |

I have told you to leave compounding for pa Emma and join hot money The GTCO shares bought for ₦15 million is like a house because it gave a rent( a dividend) of ₦180 million in 2024. Na only money doubling game you sabi! |
