thebargainhunte: A bank is more likely to pursue a person with real estate worth ₦500 million with a business loan than someone with ₦2 billion worth of GTCO shares, as long as the former has perfected their title deeds. The bank will surely go with GTCO shares because it is easier and faster to sell shares than to sell a landed property! |

Locotrader: I hope you are not trying to be like Pa Emma the great investor of our time.
No matter how you do,you can't be like him.He is a Billionaire. Are you a Billionaire? You and streetman should re arrange your thoughts and align yourselves to hot money which you can use to join Pa Emma later. You are still young to behave like old man. I'm a young man with an old man's head on his shoulder. With my value investing/margin of safety approach,I am sure of compounding my investment by at least 50% annually. By 2065,I would have become a billionaire in U$ dollars. By slow and steady method, I know I will win the money race. |

emmanuelewumi: I guess you just jumped into the conversation
He talked about a plot of land bought for N15 million and now selling for N500 million
And I also said if that same N15 million was used for GTCO iPO, it will be worth over N2 billion and gotten a dividend of N180 million in 2024 Na this Locodemy people dey call Ogu-ego(ritual money)! Is like a house you built in 2001 with ₦15 million now gave you a house rent of ₦180 million in 2024. Isn't this wonderful? |

emmanuelewumi: I think it is stock oooo
Make sure the stock has a return on Invested capital of over 40%.
N1 million invested in the IPO of GTCO in 2001 of is now worth over N135 million
N1 million invested in the IPO of Okomu is worth N480 million
N1 million invested in the IPO of Presco about 20 years ago is worth over N285 million
Before you talk about devaluation.
N1 million in 2001 is worth just $10,000 currently valued at about N15 million.
Okomu was listed in 1991 while Presco was listed in 2002 This is noise to the monkey hunters gang! All the monkey hunting gang wanna hear is how to make 100% in 1 month. |

But Access Bank has done well from 2007 till 2025! The problem is the Wapic Insurance;I think the company is not profitable when compared to Access Bank.

ukingscorps: The market really proves one thing — whether it’s stocks or insurance shares, you’ve got to know your entry/exit and protect your capital first.
Personally, I keep a chunk of my portfolio in a side hustle that’s not affected by stock volatility — P2P crypto. It’s steady, daily cashflow, and doesn’t rely on dividend announcements or AGM surprises.
Same principle applies though: 1) Fix your target margins 2) Stick to verified counterparties 3) Scale gradually once you have a proven rhythm
Anyone curious about how that works can check my profile for the exact beginner-friendly blueprint I use. Crypto is like a Ponzi scheme! You're probably in the wrong place;I am not sure you can get any maga here. |
