Yeah, you have a point sha. But not everyone is constrained by funds. I said it above, the initial hardware cost of setting up starlink is very prohibitive. So airtel is a viable alternative IMHO.

For 3, I hv had cause to stream on multiple TV screens, working on multiple desktop computer systems. It was all seamless. Also phones were being used in between. Perhaps I need to try out having an online meeting while streaming media concurrently.

You still refuse to acknowledge the fact that everyone's use case is quite different.

I agree with you, the more the better. But let's not belittle the satisfaction ppl choose to derive from how they choose to spend their hard earned money sir.

Abeg this one is not factual. If you know anyone who is selling their used device, it's either they are gamers and they already have access to networks with high ping or they are content creators that need access to high upload speeds.

You are comparing Starlink to the older satellite technologies, that one cannot fly.
See my speed test this morning and it is currently drizzling, a scenario that affects the speed.

People are not rushing to sell their Starlink o bros, na scarce commodity.

You are even an average user IMHO. Your starlink speed isn't impressive to say the least. I am aware some people get way more than this though.

You're essentially capped at 2.5MBps, and I'm willing to bet it's lower than that most of the time. Don't see why any serious internet user would limit themselves to such pitiful speeds.

You would loose your money brotherly. Lolz. It's way beyond that. Gets up to 50Mbps when downloading. What you want to say is bytes per second Bps and bits per second bps. 1Byte = 8bits.

That is more than enough for most people's use case. I use it to stream on multiple TV screens at once without any buffering in between. Seamless experience I must add, so far.

When I switched to Starlink I kept paying for Airtel & MTN as backup; you know how it is with Nigerian networks that can disappear at any moment. He said it serves his use case. So different strokes for different folks. Some folks ain't heavy users. They just basically surf and stream some media online. That's basically it. Not everyone wants to spend above minimum wage every month on Internet subscription.

Many people are shying away from starlink due to the relatively high cost of the hardware. Starlink also have their issues I guess?

I sent mail to airtelbusiness@ng.airtel.com, and their affiliate called 2 days later.
I confirmed again and again, if it's true unlimited and there is no Fair usage, though i don't do heavy downloads i don't just want data to stop in the middle of the month, the representative confirmed its true unlimited no cap or fair usage
I was sent the SIM pack details went to register and made a 20k payment on the website, for the 20Mbps Unlimited plan.
and they sent me the Device.

So does that mean the device is for free once you pay for a months subscription? Cos I can't where you referred to the price of the 4G router.

I have fed 1.25kwp to this controller but a 30A model. The current stays withing the CC rating and Voc is about 31V_system is still working, no issues.

You mean you exceeded the maximum wattage rating for the cc?

In his case with a 60A cc, the maximum PV wattage supported should be (12V * 60A) 720w. His installer fed the cc with (180 * 6) 1080w from the panels.

Is the cc a pwm or mppt?

The thing pain me sha. It was a new inverter. I didn't even get to use it for 5 minutes before it got spoilt while he was installing the system. I just thank God say no be my LiFePO4 battery he spoil like that. Smh

What's the ampere rating of your powmr cc? Is it the 60A variant? Why did he say the mppt can't take more than 3 panels? I am aware some people exceed the max wattage rating for their cc. In ur use case, the 60A powmr cc can take max of 720w. for a 12v system.

If you use 3 pcs of the 300w panel, that's 900w in total, giving a difference of 180w excess.

Similar happened to me when my installer attempted my installation, although mine was a case of over voltage from battery to inverter. He connected the batteries in series and used my 12v inverter. The inverter just blow. Until now I no see am repair. It has been with different technicians for the past 6 months and none has been able to repair it. I just counted my losses and moved on. It's now scrap as far as I am concerned.

The relationship between a child and his parents is sacrosanct. After God, ones parents are next.

Do you know how many people pray to be in your shoes so they hv the opportunity to worship Allah through taking care of their aged parents.

Do you know how many people regret that they can't bring their parents back to life so they can spend more time seeking their pleasure and taking care of them.

Omo if you take car eof your dad in his old age, and he use his mouth, mind and heart to pray for you ehn, SUCCESS AND BLESSING GO DEY FIND YOU UPANDAN.

I hardly ever share my advise on this platform but I would make an exception in your case.

Since you are a Muslim, would you consider marrying a second wife?

A parent is a parent and a wife is a wife. I would say you should take car eof your aged dad. That is what I would do if I were to be in your shoes.

Wives come and go but parents hardly ever abandon their kids. If the latter happens, it's an exception and not the norm.

I can't imagine a wife making me choose between her and any of my parents. My answer is very obvious.

What assurances does your wife have that she will be better off abroad.

On 2nd thought, I get that she also wants to take care of her own family as well. Let's not be too selfish cos you are rhe husband. Cut her some slack since her motives may be noble.

Let her travel abroad. Stay back to take care of your dad. You can Join her much later or on holidays. The devil will be playing pranks on some of you and you/ur wife or others will be thinking in ur minds, silently wishing your dad will pass on on time. Wa iyyazubillah. Or better still make alternative arrangements with your siblings so you can also take some well deserved break.

On 3rd thought, ):, why can't your wife also volunteer to stay back and support you in taking care of your elderly father. If it's her dad, would she be contemplating travelling abroad at such a time? She also shouldn't be selfish. Money isn't everything my brother. Money is just a means to an end.

The best is to marry another wife. God almighty in his divine wisdom allowed it for a reason. As such, It's a win win situation for all parties.
