Rockyrascal: little wonder Bayern dropped their interest for him. No one has hyped Onyekuru like I've done on this thread, but truth be told national team call-up is based on league ranking and competitiveness. The turkish and Belgian leagues are average leagues. Onyekuru should move for one of Europe's top 5 league to prove himself. |

I said Winfred zaha has never scored 10 Epl goals and he is regarded as a great winger and onyekuru is a goal scoring winger and you guys are calling him overrated
Now tell me how did I compare them ? Did I say onyekuru is better than him or he is better than onyekuru?
When you guys have nothing to backup your arguement you will change the topic ,first it was turkey league and Belgium now it was onyekuru and Winfred zaha ,so I should not make example abi ? So making an example means I am comparing them ?
Smh for you U mentioned him along with Onyekuru and included the goals each of them scored last season. Is that not comparison? U compared them forgetting they play in different leagues. I apologise if I have offended you.I will stop here. |

Rohr has his choice okay ,you are talking about Moses Simon that cannot make levante team ? Lol
Moses Simon is a levante bench warmer and he is ahead of onyekuru right ? That's says a lot
Coaches and their choice
Aymeric Laporte didn't make the French World Cup team because of the coach choice and not because he wasn't good enough ,the world knows he is a better player than kimpembe
I have read your words and I think you are a troll, continue trolling okay seems you derive joy there No be the same you talk say I dey rate Chukwueze ahead of Onyekuru so I had to explain. For him not to have offers from there means they don't rate him. It's not just Rohr's choice but the level or competitive nature of their leagues. |

Winfred zaha who people see as a good winger has never scored 10 Epl goals a season

andrew444: Onyekuru hasn't play well for the eagles doesn't mean he is overrated ,you really don't know what you are saying and you are just making jest of your self .
You dare to mention chukwueze and kalu where balling well against Uganda defenders ,I never knew uganda is now a top footballing nation and Sergio Ramos and van dijk now plays for them
Why didn't chukwueze and kalu score against those Uganda defenders ?
So chukwueze is not overrated? Even thou the boy is good .some people have already rated him 40 million euros and you didn't see that as overrated ? Someone who is yet to play 20 career games
But onyekuru is not even rated such amount and you say he is overrated,he keeps on scoring goals for the past 3 seasons and you say he is overrated? Are you this clueless ?
Now you wanna use champions league to judge him ? As if his club is playing well in the champions league
For your information Luis Suarez is yet to score in the champions league since Barca 6-1 win against psg
You are just an hater who hate the truth or you are clueless . Chukwueze is doing his thing in the Spanish LA liga, the best league in the world while Onyekuru is in Turkey. Chukwueze has scored in the Europa league. Athletico and Arsenal are interested in Chukwueze but Bayern have already pulled out of signing Onyekuru. Rohr is also a hater like I am for listing Kalu,Musa,Chukwueze and Simon as his wingers without mentioning Onyekuru. A player is rated according to the league in which he plays. If we are to look at it your way Junior Lokosa(Lobi stars) will have more suitors than Junior Ajayi(Al Ahly) which is impossible. |

Look at one trying to pull victor moses down as if i even call moses a world class player,I am not a victor moses fan and some others eagles player that does not mean i will not speak the truth
Even one said onyekuru is overrated, someone that is playing in turkey on loan and the fee being paid by everton to buy him was just 7 million euros and someone open his mouth to say the guy is overated?
Some people need to use google to read meaning and understand them.
Happy New year to you, wish you the best Everything depends on how you look at it. Some will tell you that the Turkish and Chinese leagues is for retirees considering the fact that Robinho,Eto o and some old players are still active there. Onyekuru has also not proven critics wrong since he has featured in 8 champions league games without a goal or assist to his name. The few times he came on as a sub during the AFCON qualifiers, he wasn't even impressive considering the weak(African) opponents he was facing. Chukwueze and Kalu were balling against well organized Ugandan defenders in Asaba while Onyekuru couldn't make any impact. He failed in his debut game against Corsica. His only good game being in the testimonial match against Liberia where the Liberians were 2 man down considering the fact that Weah and one of his compatriot featured in that game. Onyekuru has to move to prove himself in one of Europe's top 5 leagues. He is not even in Rohr's plan at the moment as a winger. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by EEGA: 1:14pm On Jan 01, 2019 |
Curtisaxel7: Iwobi is similar to Iheanacho in the sense that both of them have NO DEFINED NATURAL POSITION.
Iheanacho lacks the basic ball control which is imperative for an AM/SS. He also lacks the ability to beat defenders with his very poor dribbling abilities and low attacking instinct, and lacks physicality to hold up play so he is not a natural CF. So what is his natural position?.
Iwobi claims to be a natural AM, but apart from his eye for the final pass which he shows occasionally, he has no other attribute of a modern number 10. He can't control the game's tempo, hardly makes accurate vertical long passes, can't hit good shots at goal from range, his dribbling which endeared him to our hearts is fast disappearing, physicality nko? Zero.
So my brother, Iwobi is like Nacho. Jack of all wings, master of none. I think you are wrong here. When we played England prior to the WC Iwobi played very well as a RW and even got a goal.He was very creative and the only creative Super Eagle in a match where Regulars Moses and Mikel were anonymous, with Onazi poor. Iwobi is class. He just needs a decent DMF/ball holder to play behind him. |

Curtisaxel7: Things are indeed looking bad for our Alex.
I watch Cengiz regularly at Roma. If that dude signs up for Arsenal and it gets to a direct competition between him and Iwobi, Iwobi may as well go on loan. And if Nelson returns from loan too, Iheanacho's condition will be better than Iwobi's.
Sad but true. Una been talk say Emery go sell am on arrival. Emery come trust am more than wenger. Which Reis Nelson? Which Cengiz? They will still come and Iwobi will keep them on the bench. The EPL is not the Serie A or Bundesliga. A bench-warming lookman left Everton to Dortmund and was scoring goals for fun. |

Curtisaxel7: We tend to overlook Iwobi's shortcomings more than Nacho's. Maybe because Iwobi is FB, maybe because he is Okocha's cousin, maybe because he is supposed to be the team's "poster boy".
But to be brutally honest with ourselves, dude is quite average too.
It's horrifying really. 2 assists against Liverpool home and away and a goal against Chelsea at home this season tells of his quality. Which other Super Eagles player has scored or assisted against a top 6 team in the EPL? |

andrew444: Its musa that played 21 games and score 2 goals and not Moses
Maddison has played from the flank this season for more than 5 times
How do you know Moses is no more good as a winger ? It's been long he played there so you can't know or are you God ?
The last time I checked Richarlison of Everton played 38 Epl games last season as a winger and scored only 5 goals and end up getting a move to Everton at 40million is that not also poor ?
If musa play 38 games you Think he won't get more than 5 goals ?
If you are suggesting on something bring proove
The last time I check world class hazard according to Chelsea fans haven't score 20goals a season and some dumb Chelsea fans says he is better than Neymar seems it's all about goals and assists Am aware you are talking of Musa not Moses. Moses was anonymous against England, made no impact against Czech, was poor against Croatia. I will start Chukwueze ahead of both Moses and Kalu any time, any day. We would have progressed from the group stages if we started with a 3-5-2 with Ebuehi and Moses as RWB and LWB respectively. Hazard is not only world-class but a game changer. In their first 2 matches this season he came off from the bench to provide an assist in each of the match which earned him the RW. Football is all about end-product. How many assists did Richarlison have last season? You only talk of goals. Samuel Kalu is now competing with Chukwueze for the RW.Do you think he will be able to keep Chukwueze or Onyekuru on the bench for a long time? |

andrew444: Agreed with some of what you said
But Moses shine as a winger on the Epl at Wigan ?
You are quick to forget that
Bros as far as wingers are concerned Moses is a better player than Maddison
Musa didn't failed at Leicester musa wasn't in Craig Shakespeare plans ,musa played 21 games in the Epl under ranieri and scored 2 goals which is not bad for a winger
You said victor moses is only good as a winger against African opposition,I guess he was playing for lobi stars in the caf champions league when Chelsea scouted him ? You are so funny
Chelsea bought a player from relegated threatened Wigan sha a lot
Why bringing the Iceland game here ? What did nacho played on the Iceland game ? Smh for you Madison is more creative than Moses. They don't play the same position while one is an AM, the other is a WB. 2 goals in 21 games is poor if he doesn't have up to 8 assists. Players metarmophose with time.Moses was good as a winger then but not now. Moses can't get playing time as a winger for 6 straight game for any of the top 8 EPL team. Why do you think we played Mikel as 4 and Moses as RWB when we needed a win against Iceland? |

Lol ,you are already changing it ,did I compare tom to sterling ? We are talking of Maddison and not sterling or rashford ,when you have nothing to say please admit to the truth than bring others players to it ,please remind me of where I compared him to sterling
He didn't win the league alone but he was among and he helped Chelsea,if Moses was error prone Chelsea might not win the league
So because saying Moses is a better winger than Maddison means I am overrating him ? Bros you no get anything wey you wan talk ,go back and read my message okay
Yes Moses is an average player I know please remind where I called him world class ? Don't you know how to read ,now is Maddison world class ?
I didn't call sterling or rashford ,bro please stop disgracing your intelligence
Seems you don't know the meaning of overating google will help you
When you are pointless it's better you admit than to change the topic and bring in sterling , smh for you
Mind you ,you are very clueless
Happy new year in advance As a wing-back Moses is one of the best in the premier league but as a winger he is not close to any leicester or Arsenal winger. Even Musa failed to cut it with Leicester. Prior to the WC against European opponents, Moses struggled both as a winger and as a false 9. We may have lost the friendly against Argentina with Moses present. We defeated Iceland because we opted for Nacho and Musa upfront. V.Moses didn't make any impact against England and Croatia because he played as a winger. V.Moses is only good as a winger against african opposition. |

After the goal he was deposited in our defenders pocket, they didn't let him come out and play. I advise you rewatch the match. Throughout the first-half he was troubling the left side of our defence particularly Omeruo with his pace, tricks and runs. Is it any time that a winger makes runs, dribbles or out-paces a defender that he gets an assist or a goal? If he didn't get an assist then you can say he wasn't outstanding. Finito. |

Omeruo struggled to cope with Percy Tau's pace throughout the first-half.
