The grass was no different in their new home. They also realized the blacks in America talk and strike back instead of worshipping them.

zhike:
Several white South Africans are reportedly relocating back to South Africa 🇿🇦 despite claims by Donald Trump that they face persecution in the country.
Many cite a better quality of life, lower living costs, strong family ties, and good schools as reasons for moving back. Others point to high expenses and safety concerns in the United States 🇺🇸 as factors influencing their decision.
While Trump’s refugee program brought about 3,500 people to the U.S., many are choosing to settle again in South Africa for practical reasons.

More than 12000 white people applied to go back to South Africa. south african govt said they are still reviewing the applications.

Hey bro. This is my writing. I didn't use AI. If you want the rough draft I can give it to you. Just because someone knows how to write and atleast give out pointers doesn't mean I used AI. Stop spreading hate on what's not there. I spent hours writing this and I do not need someone to claim AI on my work.

1. Not joking.

2. Since the school(s) don’t release the information widely, set up a group consisting of fifteen individuals. Everybody will allocate an hour of the day to themselves. Once the list is seen by one individual, he/she should post it in the group.

Man-made problems require man-made solutions.

emmy512:
Are you joking?

How are those on fb to get it and how long until it reaches someone

The school should have a date to release it or a period

Not random and if random they should notify everyone by mail or announcement

If I say what is in my mind, Seun will ban me. Na him way.

Come to an agreement with NEPA. End of story.

marksonrick:
They just installed electricity meter on our yard and the meter given to us carries a back log of 2.5 million naira for the whole yard. We got to know this after the free unit given to us was exhausted. We related this to the landlord and he said that there is nothing for him to do. We went to Nepa office and they asked us to pay 150k for some units for some days. The house is so hot at night and the children are suffering. A similar incident in a neighboring street made the landlord arrest his tenant for disconnecting light of the whole yard until his own is fixed.
I don't want to take laws into my hands yet, I want to ask how do I go about this.

That’s what WhatsApp, Facebook and Telegram groups are for. Those are not only for sharing porn.

Israeltimi:
This is happening to so many people right now.
School posts admission list at random hours. 2am. 3pm. Tuesday night. No announcement. No email alert. Just… there.
If you’re not checking the portal constantly, you miss the window.
Acceptance closes in 48 hours. Miss that, spot goes to someone else.
Someone gets in at 8am, accepts immediately, good.
Someone sleeps late, checks at 10pm, spot already taken.
Happened to a guy last year . Posted on Twitter saying he lost his admission because he found out 3 days later. Schools don’t care about timing ,they just drop lists and move on.
Refreshing portals every hour. Checking news sites. Asking people in group chats. Still late sometimes.
How are people actually staying on top of this? There’s gotta be a smarter way than just being glued to your phone 24/7.

FashionRe: Leggings: Women Should Be Banned From Wearing This Particular Outfit - Uche87 by eepeepook: 6:26am On Mar 13
You children copy any write-up you come across and hope to hit front page here. Intellectual theft. All the abroad based Nigerians have abandoned the site. It’s only hustlers who remain. I remember when members were quick to shout “plagiarism” regarding any stolen content. The guideline died around 2015.

uche87:
In the primitive age, unclothedness was the norm. Some societies covered their bodies with leaves. When enlightenment and westernisation reached Africa, many people began to cover themselves more modestly. But ironically, nudity seems to be gradually returning as the norm again. This trend is particularly noticeable among women. It is almost as if an outfit is incomplete unless it reveals some skin. With cleavage-baring outfits, short skirts, crop tops, sleeveless dresses and bikinis, a part of the body is constantly on display. Sadly, it appears this trend may only get worse.

The latest fashion trend, leggings worn by women, beggars belief. They are often so tight that the flesh of the person wearing them appears compressed. Every part of the woman's body becomes exaggerated, pronounced and highly visible. The shape of the buttocks is clearly outlined, and some designs even create a deep division between both cheeks. The area between the legs is often so clearly marked that it leaves very little to the imagination. The thighs are not left out either. In many cases, the clothing seems designed to give a vivid idea of what the wearer’s body looks like without clothes.

Since men are often moved by what they see, the mind of the observer can easily become distracted. Thoughts and desires may be stirred, sometimes against one’s will. Some men who know they stand no chance may even resort to inappropriate behaviour or harassment out of frustration. In some cases, the fabric is so thin that it can even appear transparent. Stare too long, and you may find yourself almost hypnotised.

Women often argue that leggings are comfortable, which explains their popularity. However, their impact on observers, particularly men, is not always positive. These days, some women undergo procedures such as the Brazilian Butt Lift to enhance their figures and then highlight the results with brightly coloured leggings. When such a person walks down the street, it is difficult for many men not to notice them, whether intentionally or not.

A quick look at social media also reveals how common this trend has become. Many posts by young women feature them wearing leggings, displaying their figures to attract attention, followers, and engagement.

Personally, I sometimes wish women would dress more modestly, perhaps even wearing hijabs. I say this because I take life and my spiritual journey seriously, and I prefer not to be constantly distracted by visual temptations. I do not want to lust after what does not belong to me. For that reason, I truly look forward to the day when the leggings trend fades away, just like many other fashion trends that have come and gone.

The thing I like about her is she is the most vocal BBNaija winner. As someone who received support from the grassroots, she’s speaking on behalf of their matters. She may be a millionaire, but she was no different from Nairaland bingos until she turned 25. My problem? Nigerians will fight you if you try to better their condition.

maureensylvia:
Hello Seun

I’m writing this not as a critic, but as someone who has grown up with Nairaland and truly cares about this platform. I’ve been following since 2010 and officially joined in 2013. I introduced my siblings, my friends, even my mum to Nairaland.

I was even a Miss Nairaland contestant in 2014 and 2015. Nairaland is part of my story.
Back then, I could not miss a single topic on the front page. Morning, afternoon, night. I refreshed constantly.

Nairaland had credibility. If I saw news anywhere else, I would not fully believe it until I checked here. Once it was on Nairaland, it was true.

Now, it hurts a little. News breaks elsewhere and takes days to appear here. The front page feels pale. Too much politics. Too much foreign news. Where are the how to guides, the debates, the inspiring stories, the educational threads? Nairaland used to teach. It used to host intelligent banters. It used to be fun.

What happened to that?

I miss the days of community events, Miss Nairaland, debates, discussions that made you want to refresh every hour. I want that back.

I want creators to feel encouraged.
I want a Gems section for quality posts.
I want people to learn, laugh, and be inspired again.

The anti spam system needs work. Harmful or abusive words should be curbed.

Moderation should feel intentional. If it means adding new moderators, then do it.

The green and white is our identity, yes, but it feels pale now. Some sharper tones, maybe orange or yellow, would make the site feel alive.

Seun, people say Nairaland is dead. I disagree. I still believe. Thousands of people still read, still learn, still gather here. It just needs to be led back to its glory days.

I say this out of loyalty. I want to tell people with the same pride I had ten years ago, “Go to Nairaland and see for yourself.”

From a place of care, love and loyalty
Respectfully,
Maureen

FamilyRe: Should Motherhood Be Considered A Woman's Sole Purpose In Life? by eepeepook: 7:55pm On Mar 09
Femi don open new account? Wahala, this boy. Nairaland doesn’t pay for engagement. You will only waste your time.

TheTechMum:
Many people say our children are our greatest achievements in life. In many ways, I agree.

The kind of human beings our children become can be one of the most powerful legacies we leave behind. A person may achieve wealth, recognition, or professional success, but if their children grow without character, compassion, or wisdom, those accomplishments can feel hollow.

But agreeing with that idea does not mean motherhood should be considered the sole purpose of a woman’s life.

Motherhood is a role — a deeply meaningful one — but it is still a role within a much larger life.

Human beings are capable of thinking, building, discovering, teaching, nurturing communities, solving problems, and shaping the lives of others. Reducing a woman’s entire existence to motherhood alone overlooks the fullness of what a human life can be.

Motherhood often becomes a season of life where children require nearly all of a woman's time and energy. Sleepless nights, constant care, and emotional responsibility can make it feel like the whole story. But seasons pass.

Purpose stretches across the whole of a person’s life, not just one chapter of it.

Motherhood can shape purpose, influence it, and even help reveal it. But it does not necessarily replace it.

Children also grow up watching the lives their parents live. Seeing a mother who thinks deeply, contributes to the world, and lives with purpose beyond a single role can itself be one of the most powerful lessons they inherit.

So this raises an important question:

Should motherhood be considered a woman’s sole purpose in life?
