@phreakabit. If you say am not a barca fan maybe you are right. But am definitely a fan of good footie and most importantly FAIR PLAY. You see teams like Barcelona, Arsenal, Tottenham and the rest exhibits such style of football, and whenever I see them play, that is what I look out for. I don't just want to see them win. I want to see them win in a fair manner. Don't get me wrong. Am not blaming barcelona for the blue murder that happened this night. I am pointing out the effect the gross indiscipline of the ref had on the Arsenal team and the game in totality. |
on a lighter note, It would be nice to see S. Bousquet play for Arsenal. As in OFFICIALLY. (see the way the guy intentionally head the ball in.) On a more serious note, How about we swapping Bousquet for Wilshere, since we have a Mascherano that is more experienced and solid. Am telling you, Wilshere will add something even more deadly and different to the midfield of Barcelona. Plus there would be more options for talismanic players like Iniesta. |
medube:Bros, you watch the first leg at all ? Tell me the major difference in statistics between the first leg and the second leg. FIRST LEG: Barcelona did almost all the playing especially in the first half and some part of the second half. Arsenal came back in the second half. Arsenal won with two well deserved goals. It is the Psycology and skill of the 11 against 11 on pitch that determines result and not statistics. SECOND LEG: Barcelona did all the playing in the second leg. Just like the first leg Arsenal were coming back into the game, before baba ref started his 45 minutes madness. It became 12 against 10. DIFFERENCE: Arsenal's Psycology was shattered by the stupid decisions of this ref in the second leg unlike the ref in the first leg. Arsenal was'nt even given the fair chance to come back in the second half. See why even a Barca fan is crying foul play, Bros? |
Abeg let us look at this thing objectively. Now am not talking as someone who always wanted Barcelona to win the second leg tie. Two critical decisions made in the match by the ref (I don't care if he was bribed or if he is in a love affair with Pep Guardiola) were very questionable. For God's sake even if VP had heard the sound of the ref's whitsle, considering that the game is a high profile game and that, that was no grave indiscipline on the players part, and that the player was on a yellow card, the supposedly experienced ref shouldn't have given VP (an important part of the arsenal side) a second yellow. Atleast to attone for his mistake about Van Persie (if he even ever considered it a mistake), he should have calmly looked at the tackle on Pedro, without allowing the Barca players and the fans influence his decision. It apparently looked like he waited some few seconds to see if the barca players really wanted the P.K before making his decision. VERY POOR REFREEING == VERY POOR OFFICIATING == VERY QUESTIONABLE RESULTS. |
I must confess I am a barca fan. But what the ref did is starting to make me hate barcelona. I loved barcelona for what they stand for, FAIR PLAY. However it seems to me that the fair play is only on the pitch alone. Probably some FOUL PLAY has happened outside the pitch. |
What's the number on the ref's jersey please? ![]() Spare me the details, I know he is a barcelona player, I just need the number on his jersey? ![]() |
@javyn01 What language did you use for the MT4 indicators ? I opened the thing and I saw codes that look like C and C++. |
Guy's I am having this problem and I need your assistance. I am trying to access a database using JDBC API from Java. What I want to do is fetch data from a database and then search for a particular data (data in a column) so that I can match it against a value. Please how do I do it. |
Abeg na, let us take the positives from this match. My own positive : 1. The super eagles tried moving the ball a little better than they used to, especially towards the end of the second half when it seemed they started to understand themselves. So if that team achieves cohesion and understanding, We would definitely call them world beaters. 2. Apart from some of the already established foreign based players, I was able to spot some new SE player's I Like A. Solomon Okoronkwo (Except that he should fine tune his runs, and passes). B. The Number 4 (I don't know his name) that replaced Energy Oterpa. That guy's passes were completed and they seemed to be attacking-minded. That to me, defines the kind of midfielder the SE needs right now. Even if he is not the best, we can manage him. (I insist the SE coaches should take a closer look at that guy). |
semid4lyfe:True d guy try, but I notice the number 4 that replaced him. When that guy entered I watched his every move and all his moves made sense. Infact the game became more balanced. |
Amodu should remain. My biggest reason is that when it comes to football in Nigeria, our overcritical attitude blinds our eyes and makes us annoying and unreasonable. Back to business. 1.) There is no official, legal, or even moral reason to sack Amodu. Anybody can tell me about any other reason but as far as his contract is concerned he met all the target set for him by his employers. 2.) We would never find any coach that will prepare the team for winning this 2010 world cup. So what are we talking about. Plus or minus, Amodu or foreign coach, we would still perform as usual at the world cup. 3.) At this point in time, what a wise federation will do is RE-ENFORCE. For God's sake this problem is bigger than what many sentimental Nigerian football fans think it is. We should not even bother solving a very small part of the problem thinking we are solving the whole problem. When we are truly ready to solve this big systemic problem then we should solve it. But for now all we can do is WISELY WORK WITH WHAT WE HAVE. Imagine, some of this oversentimental, overcritical fans are arguing FIFA's ranking of Nigeria as 15Th in the world. According to them FIFA should put into consideration the fact that 1.) The national team coach is Amodu, a man they hate so well. 2.) The Amodu-led eagles are not playing the kind of attacking football Nigerians like. So because of this reasons FIFA is wrong for placing us 15Th in the world and second in Africa. What a low-level type of thinking. When it is clear that FIFA only cares about the result teams churn out at every competitive game and not their style of play or developmental problems. All this madness because of sentiments on the parts of the fans. Abeg we shouldn't be overcritical and we should always know what we really want. |
Hmmm. Here are the words of Governor Fashola, a man whose smart thinking ability is evident in a working Lagos. "The man (Amodu) met all the target given to him by his employers, though he can do better. The only coaches available now are the ones that are not going to the world cup. Do You want to get a foreign coach who did not qualify his own country for the world cup." Guus Hiddink did not qualify Russia for the world cup. Don't tell me it is because of the kind of players that he had because I can also say that Amodu has the same problem with the kind of players he has, but he qualified us for the world cup. This is not to say the team cannot do better or whether some few positively impacting changes can't be made even before the world cup. But I can tell you that changing the head coach of the team now is a heavy change that will have a negative impact on the team before the world cup. At this stage Nigeria is in now, we don't need hasty decisions. We don't need to overhaul but rather we need to RE-ENFORCE what we have. We seem to have forgoten that it is a systemic problem. It takes discretion and time to rearrange this things back to normal. |
Hmmmm. Governor Fashola said Nigerians should learn to define what they really want. Now to the point - NB: It is really low level type of thinking to say that the whole super eagles team (Players and technical bench) and the NFF should be replaced before the world cup because we want to perform well at the mundial. What do we really want? And let's be true to ourselves, how are going to get it? WHAT DO WE WANT 1.) Do we want to perform at optimum and win the world cup (In our dreams)? 2.) Is it that we are looking to put up at least a fair performance at the mundial and then improve upon that post world cup, notwithstanding the result we get from our performance at the world cup? Please let us define what we want first. Which of the two Wants above would Coach Amodu deny us? If all, Brothers and Sisters which new Coach would be able to give us all of the above given this space of 4 month that he has? NB: Definitely No coach would give us Want number 1. If we would only get a Coach that would gives want Number 2, Why would we want to cause unnecessary and uncontainable disturbances just 4 Months to the mundial by overhauling and sacking Coach Amodu before the world cup. We can as well re-enforce the Amodu led team as much as we can and see what will happen. Then notwithstanding the result we can sacccck Amodu one hour after the world cup. By so doing all natural Amodu-haters would have solid moral justification to sack him if he fails. And then we can hire a coach that will start the development process. IMHO. |
My God, Nigerians - we ourselves are our problems. First of all let me use this medium to say something all those who are still saying that amodu should be sacked: They should also be ready to recieve sack letters if they make mistakes or any mistake at their place of work or appointment. They should'nt complain if others call for their sack just because of what how other people feel about them or because they fail to reach just a few of their targets. They should be prepared to be sacked at will. |
FBS:I can't believe this is coming from you. For God's sake everyone that watched that game from a professional point of view should be able to pick Taiye Taiwo as one the best players on that pitch yesterday. Infact, the Taiye Taiwo factor has worsened Amodu's case. Every experienced coach should know how to cover for any adventurous wing or fullback of his with either a CB or DM, Some even use a wide Midfielder to cover up. Now Amodu could not convince his players to do that simple match winning task. You said Taiye did not pose any threat to the Egyptians? What of the powerful run he made that resulted in one of the many technique oriented crosses/passes we will be seeing in this tournament? He gave Kalu Uche that pass, but Kalu could not do what a top class footballer would do with the ball. Had it been that Kalu lost possesion instead of shooting wide, and then the Egyptians capitalised on that and launched a counter attack, and they came through Taiye's wing, found nobody, and scored, would you have blamed Taiye for making the run in the first place? Please let us not castigate the Guy blindly. The blame should go to Amodu for not knowing how to properly manage the talent he has at his disposal. |
I voted that Egypt would win the previous match. It wasn't because I was just pessimistic like other Nigerians. I didn't know how it happened, but I just opened the thread and voted for Egypt. I considered some factors, and so I knew that Egypt would win the match. However for this Benin match, the case is different. I have watched the super eagles play. I have seen the level of improvement within this short period of time. And I think Psychology factor would also come in. The Super Eagles are going to win CONVINCINGLY. This is what I'm talking about. Nigeria 3 - Benin 1 Nigeria 4 - Benin 0 Ogbuke might not score a goal but he is going to play a pivotal role in the match. |
That is why, though it took me long to realize it, I would always fight with anybody that says Nigeria will change for the good. My reason is that greediness, selfishness seems to have a permanent place in the hearts of the majority of Nigerians, and it is affecting their mentality towards everything. Man, the trend is growing hour by hour. Unless you change the state of heart of almost every Nigerian for the good, which is impossible, then Nigeria can change for the good. Period. |
Gawd, I wish I could go that House of Vampires and shout to them what they already know : "Y'all are Animals!!!" |
I use HP AMD. Recently I noticed that the cursor was hanging and then the battery was not charging normally. The battery only charged upto 10 or 12 percent. It became worse when the cursor began to hang permanently. I continued to use it like that until one day I noticed that when I Unplugged the AC adapter, the cursor started moving freely. Then I knew I had to do something. I Bought another AC adapter. Again the system battery is charging only upto 28 or 32 percent at the most. Although the cursor is no longer hanging it now, it is still exhibiting some funny features like shaking, going to where it is not directed, clicking what it is not directed to click. Please what could be the problem? |
I have been hearing about this particular Bio Disc that does many wonders with its technologically driven concept. I really need to know about authenticity of this Product from the mouth of others in the house. Please anybody with advise should please help. |
Can't we all see that the problem surpasses blame coach blame player? In the same exact way the super eagles got their hope of qualifying for the 2010 mundial dashed, so the flying eagles missed qualifying to next stage. Look at it this way. As if someone is pressing a button somewhere and it is playing as expected. Let's face it Nigerian Football is currently under a spell or curse by some unforgiving or evil-hearted individual. And please when posting or commenting, put yourself in the shoes of these boys and ask whether your wish would have been to play rubbish footie at such a huge stage. |
Victor, please show us the way. Is the Zoomblast broadband service available in all of lagos or selected areas? Important question : Do you always have this kind of speed ££VICTOR££: |
Na wao ebe like say the contractor wey dey supply all this governing bodies tea dey add two two wraps of marijuana inside. ![]() Eduardo - two match ban. Chelsea - two transfer windows ban. My all time best comedy actor = Jim Carey |
,mama-gee:Maybe you don't like or watch much of comedy movies ? But even my mum who does'nt watch or rather dislike foreign movies, almost laughed her heart out the day we all watched that Evan's newscasting scene in Bruce almighty. I can tell you that is the one of the most funny scenes to have appeared on the big screen. omar22:Yeah, you don't like people with 'cartoonish' behaviours right? Well many will agree with me that, that cartoonish character really works well for him in movies, especially Liar Liar. No wonder he commands around £20m a film upfront |
phemmy008:You spoke my mind. Actually I had plans of asking whether it is possible to watch mathes with that speed (115.2kbps), because that is what I see on my Starcomms neo interface any time I get connected to the web. Until I started to see that my connection speed was between the range of 30 - 50kbps and not KBps according to speedtest.net . Now I am even more confused as to how to go about this thing because I would really like to check it out (Live Soccer matches on the net). |
hayprof:What do you mean by IDM. Please can you explain, am a novice? |
££VICTOR££:I thought 0.5mb/s is the same as 0.50Mb/s. Is there really any significant difference? ogagusps3:I asked someone recently about MTN 3.5g internet speed recently and the person said previously the speed was amazing until recently it began to mess up. Was there any really any problem with it? How is it now? Does the speed flunctuate any how and any time? Does it have coverage in all of Lagos or selected areas in Lagos (I mean HSPDA). |
Results of two test I carried out today. https://www.speedtest.net/result/554194923.png https://www.speedtest.net/result/554198319.png While anytime i connect with my starcomms neo it is showing me 115200bps. I don't know who to trust now, speedtest.net or my ISP? Please anyone at all that has information of a good and honest service provider or reliable testing site, should please share it with us. |
Inshort I don't know whether there is any of these speed test sites to trust. ££VICTOR££:What I meant by that question was not how Zoommobile managed to get that speed, but how you manage to get 0.5mb/s when the other guy was getting 0.09mb/s. I am stiil confused. |
lynxnoon:That seems true. Take a look at this result speed.net gave me when I went to check all the result of the test I've done today so far. https://www.speedtest.net/result/553298137.png For God's sake I am not aware of the time I performed this test. The thing is that I don't even use Starcomms Broadband, I use Starcomms neo - it is 1x. All the test I've ever done on this site, I've ony used vodafone.com.gh Accra as the server. Two times I tried using orangemali.com Bamako as the server it's latency failed. So why in heavens sake am I seeing Maidenhead as the server here. Or is there something I am not getting right here? ![]() |
££VICTOR££:Please Victor can you please share the secret about Zoomblast's speed. I really need to know too. |

Spare me the details, I know he is a barcelona player, I just need the number on his jersey?
