I was in a lock down situation, if I didn't follow her, I'll appear to be heartless, on the other hand if I followed her then I was going to be risking my safety. I finally replied with a yes while trying to stand up from my chair. We exited the classroom, left the school premises and hit the road. Everywhere was so dark that at some point I became so afraid but I didn't show it. I was praying in my mind that God should not allow me to encounter any mishap and I think God heard my prayers. I escorted her to the door of her house, she unlocked her door and got in, while I stood outside waiting for her to come back outside so that I could finally leave and start hurrying home. It was getting so late and by this time cultists would start getting ready to go for their meetings so I needed to be careful. While I was standing outside, Faith called me from inside her apartment and I answered her, thinking that she wants to probably tell me goodnight or something. Next thing she said was won't you come in? I said to myself, come in? By this time? Anyway, to save time I said okay and I got in. She said she fried some plantain and that she wanted me to eat. I said no problem and she brought it. While I was eating the fried plantain, faith said that it was really late and that she wouldn't be able to forgive herself if anything happened to her and that I should sleep over in her place. This faith is so smart o was the thought that came to my mind. So this was all a plan she made up for me to crash at her place abi? I quickly discarded these thoughts and felt that it was only nothing but just a coincidence. I insisted that I wanted to go home but faith wouldn't agree. I kept insisting but she told me that she wouldn't allow me go cause it was f*cking late. Truth is, I knew it was late but I still wanted to go home cause I had 7:00 clock lectures the following day.
If it was you, what would you do?
Would you crash at her place?
Or would you take the risk to go home at that late hour so that you could attend your lectures early enough, the following day..
