If not for Stockholm Disease that most Nigerians are suffering from, many of our politicians should not be walking our streets as free men, how much more via for office again because of the way they misruled when they had the opportunity.

If there is any wisdom remaining in Putin's head, he should swallow his pride and eat the humble pie by tactically negotiating his way out of this mess he has placed himself in, otherwise, he will be ruined!

Because it shows that electing Buhari and APC was an error!
The slogan is a reminder not to repeat the same error in 2023!

Thank God for the hope and alternative that Peter Obi through the Labour Party has brought into Nigeria's politics in 2023, otherwise we would have been stuck with the two failed political parties!

Atiku and Tinubu are equally qualified regardless of their age and health burden.

With the venomous, tribal, and ethnic campaign against Obi just because he's Igbo, Nigeria may never see the light even after elections next year despite who is elected.

The subtle ethnic/religious divide, visible already in PDP and APC is a clear indication.

In the end, only Politicians will still benefit from all the political horse-trading going on right now.

Only Obi's win may/will benefit the ordinary Nigerian.

It depends on what you want to use it for and your financial capacity!

The solution you proffered isn't viable enough.

The question is why are people vying for post in Nigeria? Simple answer; money.

If the issue of vote buying will be solved, there should be serious downsizing of money gotten from politics or in politicking.

There must be political aspirants in Nigeria with genuine intentions other than money and status! Unfortunately, they can't afford the expensive monetised process.

After Ekiti gubernatorial elections, I almost completely gave up on Nigeria because of the seemingly irredeemable vote buying that keeps raising its ugly head!

Why would anyone sell his/her vote for money or foodstuffs?

There are many explanations for this that I am not ready to delve into in this article now.

However, if poverty is the reason as easily suggested whenever this issue is raised, why only in Nigeria?
Do politicians buy votes elsewhere?
Outside Nigeria, do the electorate sell their votes for money? Is Nigeria the only country in the world with high poverty rate?

I am greatly disturbed by this development.

Vote buying implies that a known thief or a fraudulent person can present himself for election as long as he has the financial muscle to buy off the voters he knows that he would win! Where does that leave competence and credibility? Your guess is as good as mine.

If we really want to solve the corruption problem of Nigeria, then we should not take vote buying and the general monetisation of our electoral process for granted.

It's delusional to think that the people who caused the problem of Nigeria will be the ones to solve it. It won't happen!

Because they can afford the majority of us should not make us cheap for them to buy!

What you don't eat you don't use your teeth to share it!

Stop collecting money to vote your conscience thereafter!

You've morally lost your conscience once you collect that money/gift in the name of elections.

Your vote is your future, it doesn't matter if your preferred candidate wins! Don't Sell It.
