Rest in peace Mallam Abba Kyari the Chief of Staff @MBuhari. You gave your all, including your life to the service of your fatherland and in seeing the your friend and principal succeeded -a quality which majority of your critics lack. Your visit to Germany and Egypt wasn't because you enjoyed globetrotting but in the interest of your fatherland and unalloyed loyalty to your principal and childhood friend PMB and I pray you find peace as you rest on. Painfully, your major sin and main cause of your being hated by your critics was your blunt refusal to compromise the trust reposed on you by your principal. A costly quality that is never easy to come by. My prayer is that God grants me such unconditional loyal friends which late Abba Kyari appropriately epitomized. May your soul and the souls of all that have died of COVID-19 all over the world rest in peace,Amen! Ka Chukwu nara mkpuluobi gi n'ndokwa nna anyi!

There was a little disruption inside an Osun State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Osogbo on Tuesday after an accused arraigned for assault suddenly coughed while his charge was being read. Three lawyers that sat in front of the accused, identified as Ige, hurriedly moved away their chairs. Magistrate Olusegun Ayilara told the accused that in spite of his cough the session would not stop. Ige was arraigned alongside Rasaq Sunday, Wasiu Adeyanju and Samson Ogunleye. The trio was said to have on April 6, 2020 on Olugun Street, Osogbo, conspired to commit assault occasioning harm – an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 516 of criminal code cap 34 Vol. Il, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002. It was learnt that the accused were said to have used broken bottles, scissors, and cutlass to inflict injury on the left hand of one Lateef Kareem. Rasaq Olayiwola announced appearance for the prosecution. The accused, who had no legal representation, pleaded not guilty to the two counts of assault pressed against them. Magistrate, Ayilara, admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N200, 000 with one surety each. He then adjourned the matter till May 13 for mention. https://m.guardian.ng/life/drama-in-osun-court-as-lawyers-flee-after-accused-coughs/ |
Majority of the bigots and enemies of progress that commented above didn't read the post else they have very poor comprehension abilities. The news said, the 1000 bags of rice is to be share among Nnewi indigens ( i.e his hometown) not entire Anambra State. OLODOISM is bad! |
Joseph Stiglitz, an American economist and a professor at Columbia University, New York, has picked the editor-in-chief of PREMIUM TIMES, Musikilu Mojeed, as one of the journalists he admires most around the world. Mr Stiglitz also picked another Nigerian journalist, Omoyele Sowore, who is the publisher of SaharaReporters. Mr Stiglitz, a public policy analyst, is a recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences and the John Bates Clark Medal. The Nobel Prize-winning economist was asked in an interview with The New York Times to mention the writers, novelists, playwrights, critics, journalists, and poets he admires most. “We support the Committee to Protect Journalists and I admire brave reporters all over the world including María Teresa Ronderos (Colombia), Giannina Segnini (Costa Rica and now a colleague at Columbia), Ferial Haffajee in South Africa, Musikilu Mojeed (Nigeria) and the tenacious human rights reporters at Rappler (Philippines),” Mr Stiglitz said in the interview. Continuing, he said, “A Columbia alum and citizen journalist, Omoyele Sowore, ran for president in Nigeria and was arrested after a controversial tweet. Now more than ever we need good journalism and we are getting it thanks to the philanthropists funding groups like the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, ProPublica, The Marshall Project, Daily Maverick and others.” Admired writers Mr Stiglitz, 77, mentioned a Nigerian author, Chimamanda Adichie, as one of the three writers he would love to invite if he were to organise a literary dinner party. The other two are Diksha Basu, Indian-born author, and Anita Desai, an Indian novelist who has been shortlisted for the Booker Prize three times. Another Nigerian author, the late Chinua Achebe, also got a mention in the interview when Mr Stiglitz was asked about what book he was planning to read. “The journalist Robyn Meredith came back from Hong Kong and got us organized into a monthly reading group. We are rereading “Things Fall Apart,” by Chinua Achebe, this month and then next month we will read Claude McKay’s book “Romance in Marseille,” which has just been rediscovered,” he said. Mr Stiglitz said what moves him most in a work of literature are stories of struggle, fighting injustice and oppression. He does not go near science fiction, he said. “Not sure why. I just don’t. Perhaps it’s because I think it’s hard enough to understand our own world and try to fix it. It’s escapism to try to create another one.” https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/more-news/387049-american-nobel-laureate-names-premium-times-editor-among-his-most-admired-journalists.html

An epitome of a true democratic leader is GEJ. It's quite unfortunate that the selfish majority chose a compendium of incompetence over GEJ out of ethnoreligious sentiments.
We will always believe in our darling nation. We will always believe in Nigeria. Slow and steady we will get to a New and better Nigeria. Nigeria will be great in our lifetime. If only PDP focused on ONLY ELECTRICITY for the 16 years they used in power, Things would have been better for us as a nation. All we had was 16 wasted BILLION DOLLARS on audio electricity It will end in praise. Btw, when are we going to have the thread about Nigerians mocking, bashing and slapping the fat head of FFK for cursing out Anthony Oluwafemi Joshua for postrating and taking a selfie with our darling daddy in London? It's all over social media! Just like this thread!!
Your hypocrisy has no end, your sycophancy knows no boundaries and your stupidity is to say the least, unsatisfactory. I have never seen such a sycophant like you in the entire world. Keep deceiving yourself until karma visits you at its appointed time. |

Good move by the Holy Church and we thank God for that. Meanwhile, the OP should take this correction; the delegation was not led by Fr Ebube Mmunso since there was a Bishop there that celebrated the Mass as evident in the pictures. Learn and respect the hierarchy of the Church and stop placing a priest above the Bishop. |
