We almost fought that day until the masquerade said corper you de vex o. Turns out they were our students |
Car Talk › Re: FRSC To Impound Motorcycles, Tricycles Without Number Plates From August by eghuan1(m): 3:56pm On Jun 21, 2019 |
Even the corp Marshal knows this directive won't work because most of the unregistered tricycles and bikes don't move on federal roads where road safety officials are posted.
This directive would be best carried out by the state VIOs or police. Not FRSC officials who are not posted to state roads |
Car Talk › Re: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by eghuan1(m): 7:25am On Jun 19, 2019 |
Morning. My aunt bought a brand new Honda city back in 2008. Till last week, there has never been any case to open the engine for once. Last week, I notice engine oil on the top sides of the engine cover and the mechanic said its the oil seal, which I gave him money to buy.
So I was with him when he opened the engine cover and the sludge build up was massive. He advised me to buy an engine flush so we can flush the sludge out but I should hold on till Tue next service.
I went online and read how this works, the after effect on the car and I decided not to door it again. My question now, is there any other way if getting this sludge out without using chemicals because I understand that using the hot oil method may not necessarily clear it properly. |
Business › Re: Why Is It So Difficult Having A Shop In Lagos? by eghuan1(m): 3:36pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
Godmother: I had a shop few years ago but had to close it down due to the stress of owning a shop in Lagos.
There are just too many levies associated with owning a shop and if you aren't careful, you'd be working for these people.
Then I used to pay the following:
Shop Rent = 8,000 monthly (for two shops) NEPA BILL = 2,000 - 5,0000 monthly SHOP Permit =5,000 yearly Lawma = 300 - 500 monthly Security = 2,000 monthly Reconnection= 300 for whenever the light was disconnected. Transport = 5,000 monthly Feeding Nil as I always brought food from home
Total = 18,000 to 23,000 monthly
Which means I needed to make at least 18,000 monthly to not be running at a loss. Whatever else I made was then my profit.
At the end, I did a rethink and felt owning a shop was slavery and not just worth it in this part of the country.
Please share your own experience owning a shop in Lagos. What area is this so I can come and take over the shop if you don't mind. |

I can imagine the heap of papers this university wants to accumulate Free paper for suya sellers for the next one year. I stopped Applying for all these universities When I went to drop my application in FUPRE back in 2013. They just opened a room and asked everyone to throw throw their envelopes there. The big room was almost filled with brown envelopes. |
