Instead of us criticizing Mr President, I think we as a nation should desist from this dangerous trend of always want to condemn and forget to commend the giant and noble step he has taken. I stand to be corrected, no government at any level have ever done this since our nationhood. We have seen situations, of most recently, the Enugu state (Chima) where the Governor was incapacitated for number of months out of the country without handing over to his deputy. The Yaadua saga also came to mind too. PMB is setting a good precedence here and I am urging well meaning Nigerians to commend him for doing the right thing ever. If we fail to commend him, we are encouraging others to continue with the illegality of closing government shop and travel abroad without properly handing over to their deputies. Some will want to criticize even if their is nothing to critic. At once let us as a people begin to constructively critic government action and commend them when they do good. To me if we fail to commend Mr President for this, it is not the good omen we are setting.
Long live my President!
Long live my Vice President!!
Long live Nigeria!!!
Wishing PMB a quick recovery and safe return home
You should not be commended for doing what your suppose to be doing.

And how does this change the fact that the old testament is still part of what makes up a christian? can you be a christian without the old testament or are you saying the old testament part of the bible is irrelevant to a christian?

You can't handpick what makes up a christian and what not from the bible.
My point is that both have roots in Judaism but have completely different views on blasphemy and dealing with those from other faiths.

Why play a fool? the old testament that makes up part of the bible for the Christians is what? can you be a complete Christian without the bible which is made up of both old and new testament?

This wasn't posted for you religious Christians to start your usual banters, it's about the Muslims and Islam and let it remain so.
Islam has deep a roots in the Old Testament has Christianity does. Jews don't eat pork and shellfish, likewise Muslims. Old Judaism is and cannot be Christianity. Christianity's violent past was in the medieval times and was led by the Catholic Church (and I'm saying that as a practicing Catholic). The crusades were the Holy War against Muslims but after a while it ended. European Christians diverged and broke up the Church and Science took over. Then we had the Age of Discovery, again led by Europeans. Then the Europeans left the shores to first trade, then to enslave and finally to spread Christianity. The Islamic Arabs also had their own age of discovery but intellectuals were killed and deposed by violent theologians who preferred war and death over progressiveness. Islam has not been able to overcome those violent theologians and theology and the result is what we have today. I am not a fool. PS Sorry if my grammar is bad. I'm in a taxi on my way home.

Why must someone go to their state of origin for the interview? Aren't we 'One Nigeria'? Come on. It's silly. So someone living and working or doing business in Sokoto whose state of origin is Bayelsa will have to travel there? What of if he fails the interview? Who will pay him for loss of income? Or his transportation? But why the emphasis on stare of origin sef?

Pls what's the meaning of this now? Are you saying we do not have verses in the bible with similar stuffs you just posted?

I didn't post this here to make you come with this "their religion is bad" "mine is good" bullcrap.

We all have bad eggs in every religion of the world.

I have personally come to the conclusion that present Islam is Christianity 3,000 to 4000 years ago.

What used to happen years ago in Christianity is what islam is currently practising which is so old school and archaic.

The more enlightened ones they, the better for their religion.

Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey e.t.c are Muslim countries but very civilized in their ways
See this one sef. There was NO Christianity 3000 or 4000
years ago. When was Jesus born? What you meant was
Judaism, and Christianity and Islam both have roots there.
Stop saying what you don't know. And the Ancient Jews
were a minority in the world. There number was and will
never be the numbers of Christianity or Islam. And no,
Judaism was never as violent as the other religions we have
today. They simply didn't have the numbers to conquer the
world and force people to convert to THEIR religion. Get you
FACTS right.

Quran 9:5
"Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."

I don't think it's all Islamic followers that believe such. I had this conversation with a Muslim cleric four days ago and with bitterness, he let me understand how some brethrens misinterprete the Quran, forgetting the difference between that time and now. He gave a lot of instances, including these killings, stating clearly that Muhammed is a messenger of peace, hence any defaulter is not following his teaching. He's a Yoruba muslim though.

Rumble in the Jungle: the war of words The pre-fight quotes and allusions to all-time greatness in its aftermath have become almost as well known a part of the famous 1974 fight with George Foreman as the eight rounds themselves. Here are some of the most memorable utterances from those present: “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee – his hands can’t hit what his eyes can’t see.” – Ali in the pre-fight build-up “I done something new for this fight. I wrestled with an alligator. I tussled with a whale. I handcuffed lightning, I thrown thunder in jail. Only last week I murdered a rock, injured a stone, hospitalised a brick. I’m so mean I make medicine sick.” – Ali in the pre-fight build-up “I won’t kid you. When he went to the ropes, I felt sick. Going into the fight, I thought Muhammad would win, but not that way.” – trainer Angelo Dundee “Ali, booma ye!” – chant from spectators (meaning “Ali, kill him”) . “That all you got, George? That all you got?” – Ali to Foreman during the fight. “He (Foreman) went over like a 6ft 60-year-old butler who has just heard tragic news” – Norman Mailer in his book, The Fight. “This is the most joyous scene … ever seen in the history of boxing.” – commentator David Frost “Muhammad amazed me, I’ll admit it. He out-thought me, he outfought me. That night, he was just the better man in the ring.” – Foreman “Now we know what happened which is why he was the greatest. It was beautiful.” – Dundee

The answers you seek is clearly written in John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:17-18 (KJV) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is just the simple truth. so don't ask why again. do you believe in His sacrifice? Remember, His Name is Jesus/Yeshua.
I hate it when a question is asked and people just quote the Bible without explanation. If you want to quote, quote and then explain. You have not said anything new that will enlighten the people looking for an answer.

How do you identify a mistake? Did God blessed Jacob by mistake?
That's Old Testament blessing.

If your looking for 10k and you suddenly get an alert for that amount because a bank teller had mistakenly credited your account, will you call that a blessing?

God cannot bless you with a mistake. If you withdraw that money the teller will have to pay from their own pocket and he will pray against you. God cannot bless you with a blessing. He will just bless you.
