If Nigerians truly care about this country, why allocate 8 billion naira for an audit (fact-finding exercise)? Instead, they should engage local audit firms, provide them daily meals and accommodation in a comfortable hotel, and allocate 7 months for the process. Monthly stipends should be given, as a sacrifice for the nation.

However, corruption hinders such initiatives.

Tech is amazing! I've spent previous 13 years(up to 2022) working as a Civil/Structural engineer, specialising in designing both domestic and commercial buildings. But you know what? My love for technology has always been there I've even taken the time to teach myself programming languages like Python and Ruby. And during the whole COVID situation, I decided to pursue an online MSc in Data Science. It was a challenge, but I made it through. By God's grace, I landed a job as a devOps Engineer last year, and currently, I hold the position of Senior DevOps Engineer at a cool FinTech company.

I'm very proficient in Jenkins, Linux, Ansible, Terraform, and I'm no stranger to various AWS services. Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana. I now want to lay my hands on Google Cloud and VMWare, as they seem to be a must-have skill in today's job market (to be honest you can have a great career without GC and VMWare) and I'm up for the challenge.

You know, in the grand scheme of things, there are no limits to the exploration of human knowledge and how it accentuates one's self actualistion. We can keep pushing the boundaries until our very last day. So, why not go for it and win!

Your story don't add up. What's the relationship with data science and DevOps engineer?

Are you working from Naija? It seems that field is hard to get offers, positions if you are not legally able to work from the US, UK and EU countries.

I work from my village here in Nigeria. It is not actually difficult.

For you to be marketable get some certifications like AWS, Jenkins, etc. I don't mean training centre certificate of participation. Then have a nice LinkedIn profile and get your GitHub stuffed with projects. Apply for remote DevOps/cloud architect jobs any where in the world

Remote job is the real deal.

I started as a QA engineer 2 years ago. I was paid in hard currency which was 4 times my medical job monthly salary.

Right now I am a DevOps/cloud architect engineer. The pay is real so good .

I would suggest you could Start with software testing .
