Omooba77: Arsenal continues to surge higher in EPL....... This match was meant for March 16, but because of Chelsea involvement in domestic cup..... #COYG.....
. One issue is raised here: 1.Bobrisky pleaded guilty to the offenses
2 What is the punishment according to the CBN Act? Sentence with the option of fine Sentence without the option of fine Did the judge follow what is in the Law?
sunsweet33: Well, being mediocre is never a crime, however they have set a Low benchmark for attainment…can anybody tell Aunty she no go school..no they can’t 🤷🏾♀️ there are plenty more where she came from…
People lambasting the 42 million naira primary school don’t know what calamities some parents are trying to avoid..hmm..
I agree with you sir! At least mission accomplished
owukpa: Vera Anyim, the police officer who went viral on social media following her testimony at Dunamis Glory Dome that she graduated from Open University with B.Sc in law, today stormed a branch of Dunamis in Port Harcourt.
Ms. Anyim is currently in the state at the invitation of Azubuike Ihemeje, the CEO Of Luxury Hotel, Portland Resorts.
During her visit to the church, Ms Anyim, thanked God for using Dr Paul Enenche of Dunamis to announce her to the world.
. It is a disgrace to Nigeria that a Law graduate claimed she had B.SC in Law and we are celebrating it. I don't have any issue with the woman and her horrible English. My concern is the need for the NOUN management to ensure some overhaul of the system. In my opinion NOUN is just a an assembly of those who need degrees without any commitment as students.Garbage in garbage out. NOUN was established by OBJ to encourage those working to have university degrees. Regrettably academic mediocres are the products of the school.Do they sort themselves out to bag their degrees? Your guess is as good as mine . Finally there is nothing to celebrate in the B SC Law drama.
That is outrage my brother. Okitipupa Aye Akotopo Irele to Okitipupa Araromi Apata Ijaw etc are in darkness. When I heard that Agagu came from Okitipupa,I was shocked too.
If the successor to Governor took oath of office in same calendar year in which an election into the office were held, his/her term in office is a deficit, and cannot count towards a full term.
. It counts even if you spend a week as the Governor. That is the rule.I agree
gabbasin: Costitutionally, Aiyedatiwa can only go for a term, as he is serving out Akeredolu's 2nd term, by law he's now doing his first term and his 2nd term begins when he is sworn in if he wins the upcoming gubernatorial election
. You are right sir.Somebody reminded us yesterday that Buhari assented to a law rules out another term for Lucky if he wins the coming election and he is sworn in as the Ondo Governor
fergie001: When Jonathan lost the 2015 election, APC feeling he had some goodwill thought he will run again in 2019 and introduced a new bill in 2018.
Former President Buhari signed the 4th Constitution Alteration Bill into law. (This is the 4th Alteration bill because Jonathan was Nigeria's first President post-1999 to sign a Constitutional Alteration bill, he signed three different Alteration Bills)
The bills signed by Buhari are:
*Not-too-young to run, this was assented to days before others on May 31, 2018.
For the others, he signed on June 08, 2018....
1. The 14 days allowable time for pre-election matters.
2. The extension for re-run to take place within 21 days rather than the initial 7 days to give INEC some latitude to put logistics in order.
3. Financial Autonomy for States Houses of Assembly and Judiciary.
4. Completion of tenure of a sick, resigned, impeached or dead President/Governor is seen as one term. What it means is that once a Deputy-Governor or VP is sworn-in to complete the tenure of another, it is already by law seen as a term.
For the case of Jonathan in 2022/2023, it's different. Law is not retroactive.
What I mean is that, if there is NO law today punishing thieves, and a thief is arrested today, even if a new law punishing thieves is enacted a day after, he cannot be tried under that law.
Jonathan contested in 2015 and the law was enacted in 2018, it doesn't affect Jonathan, he still till tomorrow can contest.
. Buhari gave assents to some. Laws.It is true .Thank you for reminding us .
fergie001: He cannot run for second term, he is limited by law.
The Constitution says when you complete the term of another, you can only only run one more term.
What some in Ondo S are saying is that if peradventure he wins, he can only run four years. Those in the Central and North might insist it goes to them after his tenure because they didn't tell Ondo S to shortchange themselves knowing fully well that any Ondo S person that comes after Aiyedatiwa will want to do 8 years prompting an unbroken 12 years.
. Jonathan wanted to run again having been cleared by a court of law. Please remind us a law or a judgement that has vacated the possibility of contesting twice if you finish another person's tenure.
Ondo South truly has never ruled in Ondo State.I think Lucky Ayedatiwa cannot start by calling for second term in office now It will be too early. If he performs well he may contest for another term.Granted there is no presence of government in Okiti pupa ,Igbokoda and other riverine areas . No electricity in those places for more than 8 years.
NairaOcean: "Seems like some of you do not know that gonorrhea can affect the eyes. It’s called gonococcal ophthalmia or gonococcal conjunctivitis.
The same bacteria that cause gonorrhea affecting your genitals can also cause gonorrhea of the eye if introduced into the eyes.
You continue taking semen in your eyes wai. You will learn the hard way." - Dr. George
. I am aware conjuvictis can affect eyes in various ways but caused by semen drop into a lady's eye is strange to me.Nothing however is impossible in the medicine.
uche87: Osahon George Osayimwen writes from England.
. Marriage as an institution is being devalued every day with our wrong attitude to the sacredness of the institution. In a community of 2000 people you will hardly find couples that legally married. Even those that are legally married do not care about it for they end the union with impunity. Single parents are many.Divorcees are numerous Ladies who are still tatalongs run away with men.Men without jobs cohabitate with ladies. All end in rubbish relationship. The result is the moral decadence we keep seeing among children today. So nobody will waste money on marriages again but this is against the law of the land and religious morality.
