ablejesus26: And you shamelessly proved the person you quoted right . Fiaakwa negodu madu. So ipob should and must add to the list of problems you just listed there. What if they choose to be better and do something meaningful that an average Igboman will enjoy. You curse the SE leaders but you as a Londoner cannot create an ordinary primary school for your own people at isiama, Afara ukwu Umuahia, how is that for someone who wants to help.
It will not be long before your ipob becomes endangered species in Igboland, you can't be using your nonsense to cause a nuisance in a land you have zero positive impact on. All are Igbo, but all can never be your occult ipob, Stop being a terrorist and attacking people who choose not to join your Scam. Why are crying? |

gidgiddy: IPOB has denied all involvement in violence and if anyone has any evidence to the contrary, beyond online rumours, should make it public. You think they don't know the truth.. I saw the curricular and propaganda granted to the anti-Igbo crews and anti-IPOB Crews set up to battle online just before last two week's sit-at-home. They were told to maintain IPOB's guilt no matter the defence for IPOB or Igbos are... I saw it with my korokoro eyes... They have the memo... Stop taking sense to these lots, they are not operating with the same thing in mind. Even if a video evidence is revealed today today the people behind herdsmen, these guys will not budge. As you can see, the BH sponsors debacle is not even making any controversies... They have pumped millions for this negative label. You can see that their energies have been renewed. If they talk against you, just make one funny statement where it matters to them the most, and you will see them running away.... These guys don't joke with their gods, that's their weak point. |

2real52: So, by your logic, if you have headache, you cut off your hand.
Why can't ipob attack either the herdmen or their sympathizers or the politicians who are the main perpetrators. Why killing your own people? Why making life difficult for them? Why frustrating your own kin and blood? Ipob is a self serving treacherous group and they are dangerous for the ibos Oga go sleep. Why crying more than the bereaved? Go and face the poverty in your region first. |

People like Eastlink and Ojiofor or whatever their name is, have made it a point to disparage and reduce the image of Ndi-igbo to nothing on this forum.

Mr Chima Christian, why do you look more like a Hassan Danladi than a Chima?
However, this is not the place to discuss or talk about such issues, you should take it to Igbo groups.
Here, what you do is defend your home front first and fight together to stand against the enemies that have made it their duty to destroy us.
Regarding the issues you have raised, if you Igbos have made it clear without mincing words that they want a country of their own.. any talks that doesn't drive towards this, they are not interested except the alternatives for us will be too good to be true. |

Cjrane2: Another deluded Ijaw land grabber. So Bonny, Kalabari etc are Ijaw land ? Did the Ijaw fishermen in the creeks somehow manage to annex the Ibani tribe of Bonny Kingdom and impose an Ijaw as the King in Bonny Kingdom too?
You have answered my question. Ijaw is too lazy to develop their own towns and cities and depend on making ridiculous claims to other peoples homelands and towns.
Apart from Yenogoa developed by virtue of being a capital city of an oil-producing state, not even one town can be pointed to in Ijaw land where the Ijaws were known to have developed a town. The way Ibibio people developed Oron, Eket, Uyo, Ikot ekpene etc. Or the way the Tiv tribe has notable towns like Doma, Akondonyou, Markurdi, Aliade etc. It all goes to prove that the complaint of the other indigenous tribes in the region that Ijaw were originally fishermen migrants from Sierra Leone who invaded their creeks and set up fishing settlements. Else, there is no way Ijaw had lived in those creeks for a thousand years and don't even have a single traditional town or city. Until 1996 when Bayelsa state was created. To be frank, even Yenogoa is not an Ijaw town. It belongs to the Epie people, who are an Edoid tribe. It belongs to other groups too who are not Ijaws. |

I have done an exploratory observation on this "sit-at-home" issue. I have observed that people from the North, Yorubas, the SE governors, the media and political affiliates like their social media "employees" are the only ones crying about the "sit-at-home" order. Just look at the number of threads opened on the front page by those who cuss and hate UmuIgbo every day of their life are also "worried" about them. It defies logic.
My question is, Why is every other person crying about sitting at home on behalf of the people sitting at home? The "sit-at-home" is the least confrontational and probably the most peaceful way to send a message to the authorities. It ensures that the loss of life will be reduced to the barest minimum, given how inhuman Nigerian security agents are.
The feedback from my exploration shows that your constant worry and crying is sending a message to the participants that their strategy is actually working.
Why is everyone worried on behalf of the participants?

ANON333: I met a man in Lagos who passed 100% for the stereotypical Yoruba; he had facial tribal marks like a Yoruba, spoke the language like a local, and always wore ankara natives. The day someone told me this man was from Enugu I refused to believe until he confirmed it to me himself. When he started speaking Igbo his tribal marks resembled that of my mother. In the North of Enugu, and even some part of Anambra, they share ancestory with Igalas. I have met someone from Anambra with long tribal marks only to realise that he was Igala...but he speaks Igbo mostly. At Enugu towards the border with Benue and Kogi, some of them resemble people from Igala and Idoma. Most Igalas look Yoruba. |

RedboneSmith: "A significant percentage", I said. I never said all of them. I never even said the majority of them. And I stand by what I said; it isn't based off TV.
It is also telling that your point is centered around the narrow comparison with the Igbo (a demographic that had been noted for higher-than-average occurrence of light skin since the 18th century) rather than with the general black African population. I understand your point. Of course, one won't campare the AA against Southern Sudanese for example but it won't be appropriate comparing them against Ethiopians for instance. My point is Africa by itself is a very very diverse country. Even with an ethnic group in Nigeria, you could see that the claims of being "different" based on skin tones may not be very accurate. It all depends on the demography you are making your comparison against. |
