it is to some of us, because the brag of the self acclaimed japan of africa on this forum made us believe it's the other way round.

Goddex: What on earth will it take out of Fashola to simply render an unreserved apology to Anambra state and Ndigbo? I was moved to tears after reading this article to a point I was tempted to place a curse on Fashola for the blood of the dead and others whose lives would be cut short by the trauma this man put them into.

As an advocate of peace I'm not against that, but have you thought about this?

Lagos deported yorubas that were not from Lagos, ibos hailed Fashola.
Anambra deported Akwa-ibomites, no noise.

Lagos deported Northerners, they said it won't take them anything to take the next trailer heading to Lagos.
Akwa-Ibom wanted Lagosians out of their state, Lagos government went to pick them and catered for them.

Anambrarians were deported from Lagos, and you requested for Lagos' apology.

Is that sane to you?!

Abagworo:

I don't think so. The Federal Government should start giving every zone equal allocation or allow true fiscal federalism.

Really?
In population, southWest is leading, two of the most populous cities( Lagos, Kano, Ibadan) in the country are in southwest.

Forget not that this allocation you said should be shared equally are gotten from some regions, while others are contributing little or nothing(I call them parasites). SouthSouth and SouthWest are the highest contributors to the federal government's pocket.

And you think it's sane to ignore these factors and share the allocation equally?
Politics / Re: Lagos Govt To Construct Bridge To Link Igando/ Ayobo, Other Communities by EkoAtlantic: 8:37am On Aug 03, 2013
Was it not this same bridge immigrants were ranting about on this thread? grin
https://www.nairaland.com/1381747/tale-two-link-bridges-lagos

Fashola, enough of this disgrace of our easterners cheesy
Just yesterday, Fashola pulled down AdaObi's skirt by exposing the liar he is to the world.
Wisdom they say is power, not bragging and jumping like chimpanzee.

toothpaste: Igbos are going nowhere! We must remain in Lagos and pledge to support PDP in 2015. Ofebuffoonery must be ready for that election because we are sending JTF to smash NURTW boys and touts used to rig the last election.

We must control Lagos and shift the Ofebuffooneries to their real *fillages* cool

you these villagers always make me have a good laugh. grin
So if an aspirant from PDP is elected as Lagos governor, he'll give you ibos special consideration and forget about his own people who he's mandated to govern?! cheesy
AdaObi has infected you all with his dullness, chai.

ocheezie: Trying to gain cheap political points. Does he go about asking beggars their language and states of origin? Not like a support or condemn Fashola anyways. He's the chief Executive of Lagos and should use wisdom, fairness and love in policies.

what do you expect from serial losers?!

omiobo: I don't know why people are crying about lagos only, were they sleeping when it happened in Abuja,Akwa Ibom,Enugu,Abia,Kastina etc ?

Because the Yorubas and the SW are the yardstick for assessing other people and regions.

Politics / Re: Tale Of Two Link Bridges In Lagos by EkoAtlantic: 7:40am On Aug 03, 2013
First, we should know that this bridge the immigrants are ranting about is not in a populated environment and that it's not an old settlement, it's just an extension of Lagos city which is seen in the picture the OP posted, you all 'll notice the bushes and dwarf trees in the environment, which is most hardly seen in Lagos city. It's actually good that a thread like this is created because it draws LASG attention to it, which in short time construction of the bridge 'll take place.

one thing is certain, everybody irrespective of their tribe, ethnic are concerned about Yorubaland and people development. As the most civilized set and most urbanized region, we shouldn't expect other ethnic and regions looking up onto us not to criticize and fault any action and development they are not cool with in our region, we wonder why most of the criticism in Nigeria and on this forum are directed at SouthWest and the Yourba people at large.

Except for the Niger bridge of less than 2km that the easterners have been begging the federal government for in over 3decades now, which we only got to know about due to their complaint on the internet, we wouldn't have know anything about that region because we care less about them and have little or no business in that region.
Imagine a whole region(FIVE states) begging the federal government for a 1.2km bridge for 30years, that tells us about the underdevelopment in that region.

If it's actually true these people who were to be reunited with their families died, it's a very bad development. But we all should take note that, if the Anambra state government have been serious with their people, by going to the rehab center Lagos state provided for those people and taken them to Anambra themselves like Lagos did to Lagosians in Akwa-Ibom state, we wouldn't have heard of this sad development.

biafran soul: Where are the so called human rights activists, the civil liberty organisations, the Wole Soyinkas, Femi Falanas etc? This clearly shows that they are all hypocrites and political commentators who are just out looking for cheap publicity and what to eat.
I thought they were all ready to go and die for Amaechi just some few days back, saw some on tv the other day wearing printed t shirts and protesting at Alausa but when they are really needed they would all disappear cos money is not involved. The fact remains that the poor people in this country are on their own and the political activists masquerading as human right activists are just emergency commentators and never meant to be taken serious. Sincere Nigerians now knows better

Same Soyinka that spoke for Biafra and was sent to prison, spoke for GEJ in 2011 and he(GEJ) was elected, but once he(Soyinka) spoke against madam shepopotamus' arrogant and ill manners she display in public, you all castigated him and called him mad. And you still want him to speak for you these ingrates?!

nwando: Well Nigeria is a zoo run by wild animals themselves
No wonder a governor can forcefully remove citizens and dump them anywhere he wishes and he is hailed
If it were here in the USA Fashola's Backside would have been coasting in jail where he will sit a Long time
He is in the company of people like him so he is free to do as he wishes

Reminds me that our president is a Zoologist, no wonder grin
#fresh air.
But guy, you all didn't type this epistle when Adaobi deported Akwaibomites that have a better state ahead of Anambra in term of development. Lol...

Coming from vanguard, the ibotic newspaper. grin
Can't take any beer parlor gist ibo newspapers(Vanguard and The Sun) call news, they are full of lies, just like AdaObi lied about Lagos not contacting his state before reuniting his people in his village called state
Not until a credible newspaper has it as there headline, it remains a rumor.
If true, it could be AdaObi's instruction to kill those people so as to cover himself, because Fashola recently pulled down his skirt exposing him to the world.

Mark wasn't actually specific about the governors being referred to, could have been his state(Benue) governor.
Can anyone point out what Gabriel has achieved in Benue since he got elected over six years now?

bobthebuilder99: Ok..it is obvious now that Fashola is running as the APC candidate for President.

Can't wait!!!

Nope, he's needed more in the SouthWest than any other place.

Chai, I fear that b1TTch die.

There are some ministers too I think any government irrespective of the party in power shouldn't do away with them.
Minister of Agriculture, telecommunication and that of the aviation.
Those trio are very competent.

Anambrarians, Fashola wasn't actually saying your governor is not using his common sense, he meant he should use it next time he opens his mouth.
