She is absolutely correct, we know that some people from a certain part of Nigeria who live in South Africa are selling drugs and doing dubious business over there and giving Nigeria a bad name. The funny thing is that these bad people giving us a bad name say they are BIAFRANS,so why should the Nigerian government protect Biafrans? |

vedaxcool: Prominent Niger Delta agitator, Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, a Muslim, took to Facebook to slam the governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike for demolishing the mosque at Trans-Amadi area of Port Harcourt and allegedly declaring the state a Christian state.
“You should be ashamed of yourself… Rivers state is not a Christian state, it will never be a Christian state, you are not even a Christian,” he told the Rivers governor.
Governor Wike had allegedly demolished Rainbow town central mosque located at the Trans-Amadi, off School Road, Rainbow Estate, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State.
But the governor during his visit on Monday to the location, denied demolishing any mosque in the state, he described the information as “false, orchestrated by mischief makers to create disaffection in the state.”
The Rivers state governor also said that people erected illegal structures at the location without approval from the state government for any structure to be erected there.
In refuttal, Mr Dokubo said “Wike claims that there was no mosque. If there is no mosque, why did you go there?”
“I am a member of the congregation of the Trans-Amadi central mosque. That is where I pray with my family…. Wike claiming that there was no mosque is a lie. He is lying and you know Wike you are lying… We legally acquired the land for the mosque…” Dokubo said.
He said that the land for the mosque was legally acquired from Chief Edward Sotonye Amadi. He also shared documents to back his claim.
Dokubo accused Wike of bowing down and sponsoring the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, a Muslim, with the money of meant for Rivers people, but “cowardly taking out his hatred against these people on Rivers Muslims.”
“You use our money to build an interdominational Christian centre, our collective resources, we did not talk. We have every right, equal rights, and some of us have contributed to the betterment of Rivers state, to the resources that you have at your disposal,” he said.
Dokubo said that the governor has no right to dictate what religion the people of Rivers state should follow. Stressing that there are several families of Rivers state who are active congregational members of the demolished mosque.

frosbel2: As an Igbo man, the more I think about the realisation of Biafra, the more I fear it may not be the solution to the problem of the Igbo man. It is true that we have been maltreated and marginalised for so long, but it is also true that we have not been our best defender or friend. We are a very stubborn and proud people, such that of all the tribes in Nigeria, only the Igbos had no KING to rule over them, in times past. The position of Eze was one introduced by the British to bring some semblance of governance within the Igbo tribe.
Before we talk about unity, we must be unified, but I do not see any unity among the Igbos and fear that should we eventually realise Biafra, there will infighting, hatred and chaos. Furthermore, we are too materialistic and have lost the original integrity bestowed upon us by our ancestors. So much crime, so much wickedness between brethren and so much bloodshed and scamming.
Many of us see ourselves as racially and intellectually superior to the others, and this is PRIDE of the HUBRIS sort which can lead a nation down to humiliation. We call other people illiterate, goats and daily mock our president. This is not a civilised approach to achieving our goals and only creates hatred. Let us approach matters maturely, patiently and persistently. With a united front, table our issues to the government and work tirelessly to fight for the cause of our brethren, not by fighting or killing, but by education, international publicity, respect to other tribes, and hard work.
On the issue of Fulani Herdsmen, what should we do? I will tell you what I will do. Organise a group of leaders to speak to the head of cattle rearers and others in leadership positions, and ensure alignment for peace and harmony. Dialogue not war, talking and not fighting. If we work with these leaders, I am certain the security forces will be on our side and destroy all hoodlums or criminals causing mayhem in the land. Also, let us not be ignorant of the ongoing ploy by many criminals in the east to use the issue of Fulani Herdsmen’s as a decoy to continue perpetuating wickedness and evil in the land of the Igbos.
I love you that is why I talk like this. We do not need the shedding of blood, we need to look for solutions, investments and other methods of improving the lot of our people. We need to root out all scammers, kidnappers and ritualists. We need to become humble and work as a team with the rest of the country for good governance, economic progress and opportunity.
Please I am not perfect, and it is possible that this matter has been oversimplified. If so, your opinion is important to hear. |

ProsperChild: Ohanaeze reacts to Okorocha's Arrest, Reveals what will happen to Imo State If...
Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, OYC, has reacted to Senator Rochas Okorocha’s citizens arrest by the Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha.
ABACITYBLOG reported that the Secretary to State Government (SSG), Mr Uche Onyeaguocha, gave the order after the Chairman of the Recovery of Government Properties, Mr Jasper Ndubuaku, was allegedly assaulted at Okorocha’s residence.
Onyeaguocha, also, said that the state had also placed Okorocha on security watch and urged Imo citizens to arrest him and alert the government whenever they found him in the state.
However, reacting to the news, OYC said, order to arrest Okorocha by the Imo citizens is an invitation to anarchy and may plunged the state into chaos which the federal government may have no other option than to declared a state of emergency in Imo.
The statement signed by Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, further revealed that the order is an invitation to Anarchy capable of truncating the Democratic Government of Governor Ihedioha if not reversed immediately.
“We envisage that such a “Citizen’s Arrest” Order is time bad as the Governor is planning to celebrate his first 100 days in office irrespective that we condemned the assault of the Imo Chairman on Asset Recovery Committee, Hon Jasper Ndubuka by thugs allegedly working for Senator Okorocha, but We call on immediate intervention of the South East Governors and Igbo leaders as We ask Imo State Religious leaders, Traditional Rulers, State House of Assembly to Join Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide to interface with Governor Ihedioha and Senator Rochas Anayo Okorocha, and Urge Imolites especially the Youths to suspend any action impending on the outcome of the peace parley with the duo.
“Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide beg Senator Rochas Anayo Okorocha to stay away from the state at the moment until the dust settles down, we believe that Governor Ihedioha will see the wisdom and rescind on the decision to arrest Okorocha, and Urge him to suspend the activities of Jasper Ndubuka committee on recovery Govt assets until the situation is under control, We will not allow any South East State to be under control of a sole administrator Under State of Emergency, Ohanaeze declared.

ashacot: The shame and disgrace that has been ongoing by ipob should never be misconstrued by Nigerians. Ipob does not represent the entire igbo tribe. The shame that organization has brought to our tribe is becoming too much. How on earth can one person order people to go and arrest a sitting president on official visit in another country. How on earth will you say you are looking for the president of a country that the president is scared and running from you? Even when pictures of the president is flying all over japan tv stations and youtube channels you still doubt the president is not in japan. You still continue to give contradicting report about your so called operation.
Why can't Ipob understand the secular nature of Nigeria knowing fully well that a scratch on the president may likely see a reaction by the northerners on our brothers living in the north? Why cant ipob learn from what happened in 1967? You will say if northerners react in north then you will react in the east, can you compare the northerners in east to the number of igbos in the north? Has Ipob ever considered what may happen if the president should collapse over there in japan what reaction it will trigger? hmmm. If you are igboand you continue to support this show of shame by ipob on the igbo tribe, then i am sorry for you. What ipob is doing is indirectly calling for war. Ipob may have little right to protest against south east leaders but it should leave other people leaders alone. We do not need another war or crises in this country.
Our leaders in south east should speak up against this on time before this turn into something everyone will regret. Our country is not yet in good shape, but we should know how to do the right thing.
a word is enough for the wise. If you like insult me or call me efulefu, na you sabi.

GistmoreNG: The Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye has denied that he wanted to serve as the deputy governor to a former governor of the state, Captain Idris Wada.
In a statement on Thursday by his media aide, Gideon Ayodele, the senator stated that the information was meant stop the emergence of Melaye as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the September 3 governorship primary.
“Capt. Idris Wada lost the last election as a sitting governor and it makes no sense that Dino Melaye, a man with better idea and clearer vision, will queue behind such an aspirant,” the statement read in part.
