I think you guys are hating on her a bit cuz she is light-skinned

She isn't *that* skinny. She has a chest. And probably has an ok-looking ass...though unfortunately I've not been able to find an azz-shot.

Yellowbones need luv too

So she is pretty attractive. But I can see why some might prefer a woman with more T and A.

Sagamite: I would match that with this to neutralise it.

At a minimum, maclatunji should be made the junior mod of the islam forum, stripped of his ability to ban people and hide posts.

Jarus for the most part is a reasonable fellow, without maclatunji's fascist tendencies.

oam4j is a good guy though...dunno how any sane person can have a problem with him
PoliticsRe: NAIRALAND MODERATORS: Please List The Mods You Dont Like And Why.. by ektbear: 8:28pm On Sep 18, 2012
maclatunji is a pretty bad mod

inventing new rules like non-muslims have to capitalize allah, or refer to allah as "God" when by definition that is something only a muslim will agree with

He needs to be sacked and replaced with someone who isn't a douche

PoliticsRe: Can Nigeria Ever Be Super World Power by ektbear: 9:38am On Sep 18, 2012
I think that if you try to make your life pleasant in honest ways that don't involve looting public wealth, the end result will be a pretty prosperous society.

Yes, there is an element of communal sacrifice/contributing to the greater good necessary. But communal sacrifice alone is no replacement for individual progress.

In short, try to make your life as happy as possible, while not stealing and while also paying your taxes, etc.
Christianity EtcRe: Is Science More Accurate Than The Bible? by ektbear: 8:52am On Sep 18, 2012
Science is verifiable, for the most part.

The Bible, much of it has to be simply taken on faith.

sniperwolf: We can't even host an Olympic. It's so unfortunate that we can't be a world power before this world comes to an end
To some extent, it is out of our hands. Our ancestors did not conquer vast amounts of land, which is a prerequisite for empire-building (and arguably also for becoming a world power).

Imo, just try to make your life and that of your family/descendants as pleasant as possible. Stressing about stuff like this isn't worth the headache.

1. China has nearly 10x the population of Nigeria.
2. Moreover, it actually was one of the richest and most powerful countries on earth up until 1700 or so.
3. China has been achieving 10%+ GDP growth/year for what, 30+ years now?

China and Nigeria are not very similar, imo

@monkeyleg: UYCO was purchased by Uduaghan. Remember, he used to be against the guy before he was bought.

Simply ask for double whatever UYCO got...then you too can become one of his praise singers cheesy

oluface: a country powerful
enough to influence
events throughout the
world
Hmm...like, top 10 influential countries, let's say?

Seems pretty unlikely. Nigeria is populated, but it isn't like an India or China who can influence the world through population alone.

Nigeria is economically weak, also (though growing at a pretty decent rate).

Unfortunately, I think things have for the most part already been decided.

We'd need some sort of game-changing event to become top dog (E.g., something on the level of Spain's acquisitions in the New World that briefly made it a top dog).

With that said, becoming a "pretty decent country" is probably achievable. Perhaps best to focus on that first before worrying about being a world power.
