If a man leads an orderless life, then there should be little surprise that there is chaos after he dies.

It seemed kind of appropriate, given the title of this thread cheesy

Malawian: is that why yoruba men's buttocks always look fat? Are those adult diapers y'all are spotting?
Aha.

It looks like we've now gotten to the heart of the matter.

So...at what age did you first realize that you enjoyed looking at men's buttocks more than women's?

Anyway, it is time for me to go to sleep.

But...don't think because i don't have time to dive into threads like this these days that I do not have the ability to wax you.

Be careful...if you boast too loudly, the BEAR will hear your voice and come after you grin

My own elders?

Well, me, I am not the most respectful man. I probably do 135 degrees, something like this:

\

pretty far away from the full 90.

I just do the bare minimum necessary, personally grin

But some obviously will do better.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Bow-Greeting Buhari (Picture): Slavery Or Respect? by ektbear: 12:07pm On Aug 26, 2012
Also, I never mentioned "kick." I only said beat. You are the one who introduced that word.

So you kick your elders, too?

That is quite brutish.
https://www.nairaland.com/1027789/26-yr-old-man-beats-up-mother-not
Is this Chima Eke who brutalized his mother from the story your real name, by any chance?

If not, how many times have you beaten your mother?
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Bow-Greeting Buhari (Picture): Slavery Or Respect? by ektbear: 12:00pm On Aug 26, 2012
When your mother did not prepare food for you when you came home, how many times did you beat her senseless, Malawian?

What of the elderly driver your family employs, how many times did you beat him for showing up late?
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Bow-Greeting Buhari (Picture): Slavery Or Respect? by ektbear: 11:59am On Aug 26, 2012
Long story short, in some cultures, there is respect (even if only symbolic) for people older than you.

In others, there is not. One can even beat up an elderly person in some of these bush cultures.

So of course, if someone comes from these backwards cultures, they will not be able to understand what civilized peoples do.

Hence this thread

Heh in some cultures you are even supposed to dobale for elders

When i go to my hometown, inclining my head is the least i can get away with without seeming rude.

Why don't you stick to analyzing your own Igbo cultural norms, and leave this to others.

Or maybe Tinubu should have done this:

I don't know...why don't you look up the age difference and calculate.

The most important question is...are they age mates?

And if the answer to this question is 'NO', then perhaps you should inquire as to what gestures one does for people older than you in Yorubaland
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Bow-Greeting Buhari (Picture): Slavery Or Respect? by ektbear: 11:47am On Aug 26, 2012
A lot of the issue here is that we have an Igbo (Malawian) trying to interpret a culture that he doesn't understand.

In Igboland, perhaps it is unnecessary to treat people older differently than you'd treat your age mates.

However, in certain other parts of the world, the expectation are different
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Bow-Greeting Buhari (Picture): Slavery Or Respect? by ektbear: 11:45am On Aug 26, 2012
Buhari is in his 70s or 80s, no?

Tinubu is in his 50s, no?

In Yoruba culture, does one simply shake hands with someone older than you? Let alone 20 or 30+ older than you?

If no southerner is permitted to be FCT minister, then rename it the northern capital territory and create a southern capital territory...
