UmuEri:
Stop talking trash. Eri first Son is not Agulu. you people should stop manipulating and concocting stories that never existed just to make a failed point.

There is no where in history it was recorded that Eri had a first son called Agulu, and if you must know, Eri couldn't have named his first son Agulu because the Jews don't bear Agulu.

I won't dignify you the response you want because I know what you and your likes have been doing of recent in order to twist everything. Your people took Nnamdi Kanu to a strange place you named "real ObuGad" at Umueri. Your people also claimed that the entire Aguleri land was initially called Umueri. Not failing to mention the "Dabawu" stories.

I saw all your posts on Nairaland then. You know very well that you can't say such balderdash at Aguleri. You can only propagate such falsehood on social media.

Keep it up! Instead of joining hands with your brothers to maintain unity, you are dividing. Is this how we would live in Biafra? Even your present Igwe Umueri and elders can't deny the facts of Aguleri.

More...I only don't approve of the word "Igbo Jews". Igbo predates the word "Jews". Israelites or Hebrews are acceptable.

The colonial flag of Nigeria was adopted in 1914 following the amalgamation of Southern Nigeria and Northern Nigeria. It was first suggested by the first Governor-General of Nigeria , Sir Frederick Lugard as a symbol of the unification of Nigeria and because of the Seal of Solomon which was associated with the native Igbo Jews .

[2] The Star of David had already been in use in Nigeria during the British rule because of the Igbo Jews and indeed featured on coins of the British West African pound.

[3] This was confirmed in the 1917 discovery of a bronze Star of David attributed to the Igbo Jews in Aguleri.

[4][5] The crest on the flag was also used on the flag of the Governor-General of Nigeria.

[6]
The flag was not universally accepted. Some native Nigerians, including Fela Kuti , refused to salute the flag despite it being mandated in schools.

[2] In 1956, some Nigerian Muslims burned the Nigerian blue ensign at Mecca ,
Saudi Arabia , because of the Jewish Star of David on it.

[4][6] In 1959, prior to Nigerian Independence a competition to design a new flag was held with Taiwo Akinkunmi designing the new flag of Nigeria which replaced the Nigerian blue ensign in 1960.

Cool story, bro. Can we see a pre-cement picture of the inscription?

Let me guess: you don't have it. Nobody has it.

Nobody has it? lol. What would I stand to gain by coming up here to lie? Do you also think you can get artefacts easily on the internet?

Watch this video of Eze Nri's coronation at Obu-Gad Aguleri. You would see Obu-Gad as a house built with clay soil. There was no plaster on it then.

As for the picture of the inscription of the floor before it was plastered with cement, I can authoritatively tell you that the picture is in the palace.

LOL. It is amazing how some of you people believe things that have absolutely no proof.

1. What is the name of the lead archaeologist that made this discovery?

2. Where is the paper or group of papers published on this important discovery? Papers are always published about such discoveries. A Star of David found in what to the British of that age must have been a most unlikely site? That's huge - there should be publications; where are they?

3. Where is that solid bronze star today? Is it in a museum or a private collection? Does anyone have a picture?

4. How come all the references to the hexagram on British Colonial coins do not say anything about some bronze star that was dug up in Igboland?

5. Who told you this fib and why didn't you ask him these questions I am asking you now?

All this questions are answered in many books on Amazon. But you can read more about the "Solomon seal" on Nigerian coins and flag here:

Finally, to answer your questions about the star of David seen on Eze Eri's clothes and many other Igbos:

In 1917 the British discovered, about 500 feet below the soil on the palace grounds a solid bronze Star of David indicating the Igbo people may have migrated from the ancient city of David. To commemorate this event, Nigerian kobo coins were minted with a Star of David on it.

And is that floor cement? Gad and his people were making German floors in 2000 kpiridim BC? grin

Seek for knowledge and you would find it. Don't close your heart to learning. Ask questions.

That very palace of Eri, Obu-Gad, was initially built with stones and clay soil. The inscription on the ground was shot with a camera and then removed before the ground was plastered with cement. It was installed in like manner to stick with the cement to the floor.

Eri had 6 children:

1st Son: Agulu (Aguleri)
2nd Son: Atta (father of Igala)
3rd Son: Oba (Edoziuno [Edo kingdom]. Offsprings are Benin and Onitsha)
4th Son: Igbo
5th Son: Menri (Father of Nri)
6th only Daughter: Adamgbo (Offsprings are Umulu [Umuleri, now Umueri] and many others)

Note: Many Igbo communities took their roots from this group.

The war of succession from lduu Kingdom was initiated by the Oba of Benin known in lgbo historical literature as Agha lduu na Oba. (war of the lduu and Oba). It was a protracted war that touched most lgbo areas. It was intensified when the Benins acquired arms from the Portuguese. Then followed the war of secession of lgala initiated by the Atta. General Ogbe the son of Ajide attacked him at ldah, and was supported by General Udenze who controlled the Anam riverine area. Onoja Nwoboli left Aguleri and joined the lgalas because he was one of the remnants of the lgala descendants still at their Aguleri ancestral home.

Disturbances
General Onoja was stopped at Ogurugu from pushing Southward by General Enewelue who founded the Anyamelum area and part of Nsukka districts. But some remnant of lgala at Aguleri loyal to Atta created disturbances at their Aguleri ancestral home which made a section of Okpuno Nri, to move in a hysteria of haste to the present Imo State where they settled as Ngwas, a name reflecting the nature of the hurry (ngwa ngwa) with which they fled.
Okpuno Nris were made up of Okpu-enu, Okpuana and Aro. From the Okpuno dynasty came Disi Nri whose descendants founded Abacha named after their leader, Ikendu Abacheleku, in the present Idemili Local Government Area. There the principal village is Umudisi. Their ancestral home is Umudisi village at Ikenga Aguleri. Of the Okpuno elements comprising Okpuenu, Okpuana and Aro, the Okpuana people during the lgala disturbances left in a hurry hence their present settlement is known as Okpuala Ngwa. In remembrance of their ancestral structure and traditions during the Annual get-together of the Ngwas of Okpuala, they usually went on a pilgrimage to Okpuno Ngwa.

The Igalas who are descendants of Atta Eri had their ancestral home in Aguleri in the area of Ama Atta (Atta-in-the-fields). Igala was said to be the father of Ikem and was reputed to have such descendants as Omor, Omasi and Umuneke. The Ikems had sometimes settled in Umukete Aguleri, whose descendants were supposed to be the Ikem of Nando, Ikems in Nsukka, Ikems in Onitsha and other areas.

It is relevant to note that in a preliminary statement on the excavation made in Aguleri by the Department of History and Archaeology, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Dr. F.N. Anozie said that the excavation took place at a site known as “Okpuno Igala”; and that is known to everybody including school children in Aguleri as a deserted Igala settlement. He said, there were sites with walls, one deserted and the other still inhabited by a group of Aguleri people, who during the author’s filed work in the area said they had blood relations with the Igalas. At the approach is the Ama Atta which seemed to have once been a village square. Almost at the centre of the enclosure is a mound known as “Ukpo eze” (kings throne” and North –East of the mound is the Owelle Atta (toilet area) and Ajo Agu Atta (cemetery).

The present Umukete people in Aguleri who claim blood relationship with the Igala people have their village walled, and traces of the wall could still be seen today. When an elderly man from this group was asked by excavators from the University the relationship between them and the Igalas, he said that the father of Igala and Igbo were sons of the same parents and that whenever anybody from Umukete went to Idah he normally would go to greet the Atta or the King. The greeting usually went as follows: “Ata abikibo bie takata bie Igala” which translates the lgbo saying that “Igbo is senior to Atta and Atta begot lgala. This is also reflected in the lgbo saying that: lgbo mulu Atta, mana Atta mulu lgala.” This oneness of lgbo and lgala is also reflected in lgbo adage which says “Alusi lgbo jebe mbana, obulu, alusi obodo lgala” which interprets that the spirits of lgbo-land in transit constitutes the spirit of lgalaland. Those who still doubt the common ancestry of lgbo and lgala could refresh their memory with this popular lgbo adage which says, “ Egbusia lgbo nine, lgbo afodukwa na lgala”, meaning even if all lgbos are wiped out of existence, the lgbos still remain in lgalaland. As with lgala, so is ldoma, who still have remnants of ancestors of ldoma community in Aguleri.

Igala warrior indeed!

Facts has it that Igala is an offspring of Eri. You choose to stick to your beliefs all for the sake of having nothing to do with Israel OR disrespecting the headship of Obu-Gad palace.

It's obvious that you are an Aguleri man, Idigo follower precisely. The more you fight the truth, the more you expose it. The truth about the origin of Igbos is prevailing. No man can stop it.

This has been the norm, don't be shocked. The guy named "Chukwuemeka Eze" must be well connected to be on that list. His type are those that call their fellow igbo brothers "miscreant" for supporting the call for referendum.

Mind you, there are some that went through the recruitment process, that is, medicals, oral and written exams, etc. They would eventually be replaced by the names on that letter. Anyone that is well into the government recruitment knows what I am saying.

In conclusion, i urge every Igbo man to carryout a research on the name "Eri", as well as Arodi and Areli to represent the Arochukwu's claim. This would solve the mystery about Igbo origin. If you have any other history different from Eri, please do share. For instance, Igbo-ukwu accepts that their father is " Igbo". Where is the man called Igbo from? Can anyone give me an answer to that?

Also, DNA is not an option yet until the DNA of the "ancient Israelites" are found.

Shlomo Sand’s The Invention of the Jewish People alleges that a historical "Jewish people" does not exist and that the bulk of Jewry today descends from converts, rather than from the inhabitants of pre-Roman Judea.
Culture / Re: DNA Test: Igbos Are Not Jews But Israelites? by Ekykool(m): 1:22pm On Aug 07, 2017
The question should be "what is the point of contact between Gad and the Igbos?

1. Eri
It is a historical fact accepted by ancient Igbo kingdoms that there was a being called "Eri" in Igbo land.

Nri Kingdom in Anambra State had a strong claim that the entire Igbo race originated from them. According to Nri mythology, Eri descended from the sky, sent by Chukwu to make peace (settle disputes and cleanse abominations) and provide Igbo people food (yam and cocoyam).

Nri's royal founder, Eri , is said to be a 'sky being' that came down to earth and then established civilization.
Eri, the god-like founder of Nri, is believed to have settled the region around 948, with other related Igbo cultures following after in the 13th century.

Of recent, many scholars from Nri have accepted Eri was a man and not a sky being.

2. Eri Kingdom, which is in the present day Aguleri in Anambra have always maintained that Eri was a man. Scholars had it that Eri on arrival through Omambala river went further hinterland and settled at Obuga (now Obu-Gad) in Enugwu Aguleri. Eri gave birth to five children namely, Agulu-Eri (now Aguleri), Oba, Igbo, Menri (the father of Nri) and Adamgbo (the only daughter and the mother of Umu-ulu-Eri (Umuleri, now Umueri). So many other communities have their root from the five children of Eri.

The Eri kingdom strongly holds that man does not fall from the sky, prompting their inquest to know the origin of Eri.

Researchers therefore traced the root to Gad the 7th son of Jacob, Israel. The facts were compelling as to why an ancient house with a throne and an inscription written on the floor, is called "Obuga". Obu means house. Therefore the "Obuga" was a corruption of the name "Obu-Gad", which means the " house of Gad". Eri built the house in memorial of his father Gad. This is where the custom of Igbos building Obu stemmed from. This same house holds the stool of the ancient dynasty of Eri kingdom which has produced thirty four (34) kings.

Another facts are the names and traditions of the Igbo looking similar with that of the account of ancient Israel of the bible. And so many other facts which have been recorded and written on by scholars. Visit Aguleri to see more.
Culture / DNA Test: Igbos Are Not Jews But Israelites? by Ekykool(m): 1:21pm On Aug 07, 2017
Of recent, Trezzyhelm blog reported that the International president Jewish voice ministries, Rabbi Jonathan Bernis and his team stormed Nnewi to present confirmatory and DNA tests on the claims that the Igbo's are of Israel descent.

The blog further stated that according to the DNA result, it has been scientifically proven that the igbos are from Israel, from the clan of Gad precisely.

Naij and other blogs picked up the news and made it viral.

But close sources had it that the news was false. On Saturday 5th of AUG 2017, people were gathered at Messianic faith Assembly, Nnewi at 9am expecting the team. On arrival of the team late in the evening, their hopes were shattered on hearing that there was no match.

Sources had it that some group of persons were desperate for the result to positive in order to be granted "law of return" by the state of Israel. But Igbo historians warned them that it was impossible for them to get a positive result as the true DNA of ancient Israel are lost.

Naja Chinyere Njoku, an African American that traced her root to Igbo and a DNA expert has to say on seeing the news:

"There is NO scientific way to determine that the Igbos are the descendants of Gad. There MUST be someone with Gad's DNA to compare it to. We are waiting these results... "

Those of us that KNOW DNA testing and how people can try to manipulate the data in their favor...We are waiting...
We would love to see this DNA evidence."

"In order to PROVE someone is a descendant of Gad, you must have Gad's DNA as a data source reference. Where is it? EVERY Igbo that we have DNA tested so far are 100% African. We have tested YDNA, MtDNA and autosomal DNA. What DNA test did they use at FTDNA? If it is only the YDNA, how many markers were tested? What is the defining information that made them come to this conclusion. There are several teams awaiting these results so they can be VERIFIED with reliable sources. We want to know if any of this so called DNa came from COLONIZATION during the time of slavery when our people were raped by Europeans and taken advantage of or if it is ancient DNA. Please share the evidence."

She further said "And PLEASE again, tell me where this GAD DNA came from for people to compare it with? The current day Europeans that call themselves Jews are RELIGIOUS CONVERTS, not the Genetic Descendants of ancient people that were called by those names."

"We therefore conclude, that apart from the political class and their political structure oti mpku (foot soldiers) and the elite club who live in comfort zones, 99 percent of our people do not see any benefits of electing leaders the structure makes impossible to hold accountable. Leaders who remain insensitive to the needs of the masses. Restructure now, or count us out of your elections.”

This is for most youths saying that bad leaders are the main problem of Nigeria. Some of our past and present presidents, senators, reps, governors, etc, mean well but they can't carry out good with this structure. The bad ones find easy routes to escape. Regionalism would do us a lot of good including the northerners (who believe they would be economically disadvantaged).

It is common knowledge that the call for regionalism has been relegated to just mere talk. Most of the Yorubas aren't pushing for it because their man Osinbajo is the vice president. Shame! They fail to see the bigger picture that regionalism would favour them most.

Every right thinking Eastern person should support the peaceful call for Biafra. Enough of this restructuring talk filled with deception.
