Baily has almost everything that Smallling has, pace (maybe a little less), height, strength and is more athletic and aggressive and more importantly, doesn't play like he's scared of his shadow when on the ball.

The preference is still jones Rojo centrally, but if Rojo is to be moved to LB, Baily and has to be the one to step in
Smalling still has one thing more than any of the rest. He can score. cool

Elampiro! The views of the coach, the fans and the man of the match voting commitees all matter more than those of "who scored and who did not score"! I only wanted you to see that his performances as judged by even the so called statisticians Have been in line with his consistent displays that I have been watching with my own eyeballs!

I don't know whether you thought we were signing the terminator in Eric bailly but you a are really one of the few man united fans I have met that has not been impressed with his performances in this his 1st season!
It was you who brought whoscored into it.

I haven't said Bailly is not good, but I think you are over rating him.

Among our central defenders, only Phil Jones is credited as having concentration.

Also, only Phil Jones and Blind do not commit fouls often.

According to whoscored measuring tech

Then secondly look at his defensive ratings
But if you use whoscored, Phil Jones is far better. According to whoscored rating, Phil Jones is our best defender.

Whoscored also stated that Phil Jones has no weakness, but Bailly has a weakness, he holds on to the ball for too long.

I hope you know he is even younger than pogba? Even before he joined united last summer when I brought some of his villareal highlight videos when even nihilist was making fun of him in the video, I had mentioned that he is a raw talent but he just needs polishing!

Eric bailly is arguably our BEST NATURAL CENTRAL DEFENDER at the moment and he can only get better....he was not the reason we were eating draw soup for months.....that was the fault of our attackers led by your homie rooney the chiropractor...dont shift any blame to bailly...we won't take it!
Time will tell

But you made a dubious list. Bailly was on for us 90 minutes in the following matches

BAILLY

Manchester United 1 Man City 2
Feyenoord 1 Man Utd 0
Watford 3 Manchester United 1

Banned till march by those baboons so this is my new account!

What do _fuck do you mean bailly has not been consistent? Our run of form that suffered from defensive instability was due to Daley blinds pathetic form in central defence (since your bros Jones was in the sickbay as usual) as well as on the left flank added to smallings poor outings after he also got back from injury......or have you forgotten that city game that blind single handedly ended us?

If not for baillys injury and the african cup of nations you think anyone could have displaced him? Was it not even the injury that helped Phil Jones get spot in the team? Was it baillys fault that Phil jones was also injured (as usual) at the start of the season? Look at the way Jose even rushed him back into defence when he was available that shows you his value to the squad!
Jose rushed Bailly because he needed to allow the others to rest ahead of when Bailly will be away for the Nations Cup. But he didn't really go into the team straight. He started from the bench, then played right back. The pairing of Jones and Rojo that time was rock solid, but if they kept playing Europa, League, FA cup and Capital 1 matches, they would have faged out.

Bailly's performance is good but his style of play sometimes exaggerate his quality. A tackle another defender would win quietly, Bailly would muscle out the opposition and appeared to hold the ball with confidence. However, he has been exposed in some occasions, and he also struggles when big forwards play over his shoulders.

My backline for now
Valencia... Smalling.. Jones.. Rojo

Bailly can wait for an opportunity. We have four very good central defenders.

Eph12 I don't know why glo and nairaland are both _fucking up this days because some times I can't enter a thread or even quote a reply to a mention! Anyway in relation to your question look at a few consistent dudes in the team:

1: Zlatan

2: Valencia

3: mikityrian

4: bailly

5: de gea

6: herrera

7: carrick

8: rojo

Are you okay now?
What makes Bailly consistent? This was the guy who played when we had our worst defensive run. His last real outing was in October, don't forget.

The person who brought stability to our defence was Phil Jones. He deserves his commendation. He has had a match he made one or two mistakes, but it is to be expected. Bailly has also made cheap mistakes with the striker fortunately firing wild.

In an interview with PUNCH, Prof Kperogi rubbish buhari's intergrity

Punch news : "Isn’t that a serious indictment against a man considered as ‘Mr. Integrity’? Has Buhari lost his integrity?"

Prof Farook Kperogi : "Perhaps Buhari never had any integrity to start with. It was our desperation for a hero that caused us to dress him in borrowed robes.

What man of integrity would lie that he took a bank loan to buy his presidential nomination form while two of his children were enrolled in a United Kingdom university?

What man of integrity would have a multimillion-naira house in Abuja but lied that he had modest houses only in Daura, Kaduna, and Kano?

What man of integrity would be afraid to publicly and transparently declare his assets after promising to do so?

What man of integrity chooses to be the sole signatory to his presidential campaign’s bank account to which millions of poor, struggling Nigerians donated tens of millions of naira and not give an account of how he spent the money?

What man of integrity perpetually surrounds himself with corrupt people and, worse still, defends their corruption?

People who are intimate with President Buhari told me several months ago in the heat of my unrestrained enthusiasm over his emergence as president that he was morally and temperamentally unsuited to fight corruption.

They said the undue premium the president places on ‘personal loyalty’ causes him to ignore, excuse, and even defend the corruption of his close associates. I was regaled with troubling tales of the mind-boggling corruption against close, loyal aides that he swept under the carpet at the PTF (Petroleum Trust Fund), The Buhari Organisation, and at the defunct CPC (Congress for Progressive Change).

They say likes attract. You can’t be a man of integrity and continually surround yourself with corrupt people. I can go on; but it is obvious that Buhari isn’t the man of integrity he has been alleged to be.

http://punchng.com/buhari-not-competent-govern-country-kperogi/

http://www.naijalabel.com/2017/01/prof-kperogi-rubbish-buhari-intergrity.html
Is that all? If these are only the accusations, Buhari is not corrupt.

Very fantastic elamps. We've got pacy players, they just need to make the right decisions, time and weigh their passes well. Miki could've given Martial an assist instead. The pass was a bit heavy
The counter was successful because of the people who were involved. These guys are not always on field together. Rooney understood how they did it from those days, he touched it perfectly for Mkhitaryan and immediately turned running to the opposition goal taking some players away. The rest was done by pacing players with blend of good decision making - Mkhitaryan and Martial.

Remove Mkhitaryan and Martial. Put Lingard and Rashford. That counter would not have be completed even though they have pace, their poor decision would have ruined it at the end. Or put Ibrahimovic, Mata, Fellaini in the counter. They would have reversed instead of of running forward. Pogba could have over held the ball.

The last time we had counters was when Rooney and Di Maria combined against Arsenal and one other team that season.

After watching the pile of hot shìt these over-pampered players fed us in the first-half, I think I have to admit this squad is very average. Save for few players, this team needs a massive overhaul.

These group of players should be allowed to leave once this season ends.

Rooney, Fellani, Smalling, Schweinsteiger and even Shaw. Yes, Shaw. If this Shaw is what I'm going to see next season, then we're doomed. Mata should be sold too. What a bunch of crappy players.

Just see how porous our midfield is. Too disgusting. And to imagine we needed midfield reinforcements but yet Mourinho used a huge amount to get Pogba alone when we need at least 2 extra good midfielders, makes me sick.

Another issue is Mourinho playing players out of position. Playing Mata on a wing Mhiki thrives better is beyond me. Then moving Martial to a CF position when Martial is more dangerous running at defenders from his wing. In the first-half, he had to drop deep to get the ball and run at the defenders which led to our first chance. He's already gotten an assist from his preferred position. By next match, Mourinho will fůck it up all over again.
It's always hard bringing 'rusty' players to play together for the first time.

Shaw just returned
Mensah has not started a game this season. If at all one.
Schweinsteiger has not started this season.
Fellaini has been on the bench.
Even Rooney is hardly used.

How did you expect them to get going from the start? Cohesion will always be a problem. Unlike when Valencia, Herrera, Carrick, Pogba, etc already built an understanding.

In the beginning of the season, we struggled with small teams with our best selection.

Our boys tried. We were denied a penalty while they got a controversial penalty.

Ibrahimovic, Pogba were tired. Lingard didn't play above average. The ball was easily lost to Hull who immediately carried it to our defence. Despite that we coped well.

We went there with a comfortable lead, so there was some complacency from our guys.

This is a match we could have rested Ibrahimovic and Pogba.

Smalling and Jones should never be paired again and one of them sold. Two useless defenders that treat the ball like it's a bomb.
Let me not even talk about Darmian
Today was an exception. These guys have been trying. Jones has been playing on the left side of the central defence, and one could hardly notice he is a right footer.

The defence line was new today with Darmian on the right and Rojo on the left. Even at this they coped well, particularly when considered we were one goal down for a long time from poor officiating. The defence still didn't panic.

Zlatan has carried the bulk of our goalscorjng and about to turn 36 his form could easily fall off a cliff next season and then we'll have no tried and trusted goalscorer? Even if Griezmann comes, what if he doesn't settle or needs time to adjust? I'm sure no one predicted Chelsea will get the balance right so quickly so ita very hard to make that prediction you're making because at the moment the table does not lie.
Zlatan was part of our problems in the first three or four months when he could not finish one vs one laid for him on a platter of gold, due to his lack of pace. We can improve on Zlatan.

Not convinced they'll fare any better next season. We can't expect everyone else to stand still. You don't think Poch,Klopp,Wenger and even Conte to improve next season too?
Next season, we would have gain some cohesion with our squad. You can see it took time for Ibrahimovic, Pogba, Mkhitaryan, Martial, Rooney, to get to know how each of them play and harness their qualities.

Hazard might be plucked by Madrid, then Chelsea will start to find a way to get a new balance.

I believe we are in best position to form a great winning team with little adjustments to what we have. We also have young players who will only mature - Martial, Rashford and Pogba.

jose de fall my hand sha, see as conte de walk de league with squad wey no even too strong reach our own, some of our players need to step up, especially our attacking department.
Chelsea has a very good attacking front. Everyone one of them can run at high speed, start a counter, finish a counter, play two or three positions comfortably. They are in their right ages of football maturity and have been in the EPL for sometime. Hazard, Moses, Pedro can all play at least two positions at high speed. They are faster than most defenders, and can beat a last man. William is tenacious, a hardworker and still has some speed. He has a good level of decision making. Costa is fast, agile and a good finisher. Another advantage is that these players have been together.

Unlike our forwards, the ones that are fast are poor decision makers, not experienced due to their ages. Rashford, Martial and Lingard. Rashford is the fastest.

Mkhitaryan is a bit fast and he is in his right age, but he is new to the EPL. He is just getting to play regularly now. Pedro was mostly anonymous in matches last season. Ibrahimovic and Rooney cannot run fast - out pace the defenders. Mata is even the worst.

From lack of pace to poor decision making, goals will not be many.

We need to bring a forward with a great pace. I prefer Aubamayang to Griezmann. Griezmann appears to me like another player who will come, lurk around defenders waiting for chances to appear to pounce on. We need that player who takes the ball dribble past the last man or outpace to score.

In our current squad, Martial should always start. Mkhitaryan should start most of the matches. They will compensate for Ibrahimovic's lack of pace. We should sometimes introduces Rashford for Ibrahimovic in the second half to see how it works playing with three pacing forwards.

Sir Alex Ferguson has congratulated Wayne Rooney after he broke Sir Bobby Charlton’s all-time club goalscoring record during Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Stoke.

Sir Alex, in what was a rare public statement, heaped praise on Rooney for reaching the historic milestone.

“I would like to say huge congratulations to Wayne on reaching this milestone.

“It is no mean feat to score so many goals and he breaks a record that has stood for over 40 years.

“Wayne thoroughly deserves his place in the history books of this great club and I am sure that he will go on to score many more goals.

“Well done Wayne, I am absolutely delighted for you, you have been a great servant to this club and long may it continue.”
