You waiting for interview? Lmao. Just yesterday a friend got his FIRS letter, no application, no interview nothing. Better shine your eyes if you really need federal govt job in this country.

The problem is that its no longer the south or north being favoured the most, even fedral charachter is no longer followed. The guy from my state, a northwestern state is among the best performing candidates in this recruitment but was dropped for someone who has strong political backing, if indeed federal charachter was followed he would have been picked. You see, everything in this country is compromised, a recruitment that the minimun qualification is 2-2 but third class and pass candidates will be considered ahead of a first class graduate, how will the country ever prosper? Only few organizations advertise their recruitment nowadays, and i bet you in the next few years recruitment will be solely on who you know. Just last month graduates were busy sending applications through NASRDA gateway while a friend of mine is chilling with his APL to resume october.dont waste your time praying for Nigeria, it will never change. And if you like protest from now till 2025, the highest DPR will issue a public statement. [center][/center]

you guys should stop blaming buhari. there is absolutely nothing he can do. he cannot monitor common DPR list. this is how federal recruitment have been and will always be. it cannot change. unless we remove federal character, and start practising true federalism. imagine a guy scoring above 90 yet will not be picked and someone who got 70 but from the north and he is probably the highest in that state will be picked. this sort of thing will always draw Nigeria backwards. so its not buharis fault. DPR even tried small. If you are a man and you don't get letter last last, I assume you are still young, don't stay in this country. live while you have the chance.

Im not being too negative but rather realistic, i never ruled out getting an appointment with DPR else i wont be commenting on this thread again. But truth be told, the whole recruitment is marred with serious corruption and nepotism, the guy that came overall from my state was dropped, he scored an average of 90+ and hes an engineer, how do you want this kind of person to feel?. I am not a sadist thats why i wish everyone that got his ApL a successful career with DPR, but if it is difficult for an agency to recruit just 300 candidates on merit out of 700+ approved for recruitment then something is wrong in this country. Politicians collected their slots and yet its not enuff for them they have to also dip their hand into merit pot. Na waoo

Bro you have been too negative ever since you assumed your name was "swapped". Don't be in a hurry to come to conclusions as the process of despatching appointment letters is still ongoing. This came out from the mouth of a "major player". So be positive and put your trust in God.

It is just heart breaking that president Buhari whom virtually everybody believes to be a man of integrity allowed politicians to influence recruitment. Most surprising is the fact that he is the minister of petroleum resources.

I pray for younger youths because if men could use green wood like this what will happen when they are dry.

its very unfortunte that all these are happening under the president's watch.

The recruitment is over for the common man, next list is for the remaining stakeholders. If you can press buttons do so as quickly as possible otherwise forget this thread and start thinking for other options.

If what you said is a genuine info, then we can deduce that the remaining merit candidates were considered and added to the list. I heard something similar but didnt take it serious, now hearing it again. Hmmm

Be rest assured the recruitment is not over. On the 3rd of August the last set of people would be called. DPR has added 5 slots for every state and calls will b made next week.

The recruitment is over, but there is still room for those who knows how to play their cards well. If you know anybody who can help you especially a senator, it is not too late for you. There are still vacancies to be filled, and its for the highest bidder.

A friend from kwara was called Electrical engr. And why you dont usually hear testimony from these states on nairaland is because most of the slots have been hijacked by politicians from the states and the candidates get their letters delivered to their door steps.

I am 100% sure my name was on the merit list, but i had someone checked for my name at dpr but couldnt find my name on the list. Is there still hope for me? And which is the merit list, is it the list published on twitter or the final list approved by FCC?

Thank you ferguson for your contributions on this thread. Please if i may ask which people are they going to call again? Because i learnt all the shortlisted 400 applicants were contacted except very few ones that missed the call due to one reason or the other.

You are very correct, everyone who thinks he is on merit list should move on. But those that have strong stakeholders can still get the job EVEN WITHOUT APPLYING FOR THE JOB

Those that have collected are lucky, the remaining merit candidatses list has been replaced with SH candidates, dont let anybody give you a false hope nothing is going to happen again, Move on with your lives and have peace.

Its almost over, the GTs that are recieving calls this week didnt get the intial call, may Allah bless us with something even better than DPR, and to the new recruits i wish you success.

Were you not one of those(if not the only one) that demoralise/bullied fellow applicants during APC vs APO era.. You talked on every opportunity to discourage and win every single augments on persons who was praying and hoping to be like you then (among those invited for interevew).. The internet never really forgets and so does the majority of those whom you hurts.. If I must talk the way you used to talk, highly praised for your eloquence and bluntness, I'll say you failed the interview and if at the end you don't get this job, I believe no stakeholder or slot did took your place. A bright candidate's place in this recruitment is highly respected., to this end, I personally don't wish you make it in this current recruitment and I know for a fact (by law of karma) many people don't aswell.. Feel the pains and if at end you feel you can't take it anymore, pls feel free to commit suicide.!!!

Why are you guys assuming that because some people don't want to be involved in the protest, they have S.H backing them? It's just logical that you don't base your actions on assumptions and emotions. The zone representation on the list is unbalanced, the no does not tally with the no of people we know arr to be employed, it is a typed list, assuming it was photographed from a recognised letter head, boom that's a solid backing. I believe dpr caused this anyway, they clearly stated all correspondence would be done Via the portal. Why abandon it now.. Nothig good will ever come out of this shithole, the country is seriously fvcked up. The earlier we start this protest the better for us, imagine someone i know that just finished NYSC in 2017 has gotten his Apl while we that made it out of every stage unscathed are having their hopes hanging in the air, i lost hope in this country. I i will leave this country for good and will never look back.

Mr marvel65 is it possible for the merit list to be doctored and some names replaced? And to those that made the merit list, are all their APLS typed and awaiting collection or are they still typing letters uptill now?

- Work is still in progress. I can’t say anything for now.

- Yes, MOST applicants placed on Level 11 through 14 will be dropped. EH applicants placed on Level 9 and 10 will dominate the list.
