It's a sad one to chose to rather die stateless than to be sent back to your home country, a sad reality that says a lot and a straight up indictment on our governments, policy makers and Politicians. It's overdue a time for them to wake and live up to their responsibilities .

The issues presently driving people to these decisions of " I'd rather kill myself by myself, rather than sit, do nothing and die by myself", are exactly part of the reasons most of my set did the irregular migration in '99. The causes and effects are still very much alive with no possible end in sight, but we'll keep keeping hope alive.

In Nigeria nothing is impossible, if someone tells you something is not possible it means he dont have the power to make that thing possible. Do you want to tell me between 2013 and 2018 DPR has not recruited any new staff? Please if you have someone who can help you its not too late abeg, this is Nigeria where everything is possible, 95% of candidates recruited are SH candidates, that tells you everything you need to know about present day Nigeria. Its a different ball game.

Since we have similar problem, i will like to give you a hint about something that is going on underground at FCC. Will send you a Pm kindly respond, and if by any chance you didnt get a pm from me please kindly send me a pm, All what marvel65 shared is correct, but there things that only DPR top management and FCC knows about. I have it from good authority that the recruitment is not over, DPR played a very tricky game and it came out in their favour. If you confirm your name on FCC list you will definately be called, its just a matter of time. I will like to share what a top official at FCC told me but it will be a breach of trust to share such a confidential information on nairaland.

Hi Marvel, thanks for your info. I have been an ardent follower of this thread and I want to appreciate all the contributors and informants.
I was at the dpr HQ today to get first hand info on the recruitment and also check for my name, since I am yet to hear from them (I confirmed my name to be on the FCC approved list and the leaked list). My name was not on the list and according the HR personnel incharge, it was the final list and their posting confirmed. The HR personnel said that if by chance one missed their call, such a person would get the posting email, so we can conveniently say that postings have been concluded. He also said that the recruitment process has ended for both GT and EH. All the info I got contradicts the info shared here.
Please I am not doubting any of the informants here, but I just have some ques:
1. Is it possible for the DPR HR staff not to be aware of current happenings or I was being deceived?
2. The list contained around 330 names with their postings. Could it be that there is another list?
3. Could the list approved by FCC be changed?

Something is definitely wrong somewhere and I will do all within my power to get to the bottom of this mystery because it is pathetic.

The most important thing has been discussed in their previous meetings. The next meeting is to get a progress report from DPR concerning the EH list. The union want to confirm if DPR complied. I’ve not had the time to follow up but I believe the meeting has been held. The Letters are for the next batch. I can’t tell whether EH was included or not.

My advise to those yet to be contacted is be close to your mobile phone within the next two weeks, take your mind off this recruitment and get occupied with other things, pray to the Almighty for a breakthrough and wait for the big surprise. You all may not hear from me till August 27th, 2018. I will return to congratulate the rest of you.

The new batch may resume in September.

The recruitment will be officially over by October 1st, 2018. So, it’s not too late to do what needs to be done.

There are many people yet to be called. I honestly don’t know the reason for the delay.

The recruitment isn't over yet because a friend was called this week to come pick is APL o. I will advice anyone who feels is over to stop commenting on this thread. I haven't been called yet but Inshaa Allah all hope is not lost.

Like I said last week, it is DPR and Nigeria loss if they leave all their merit applicants and go after SH candidates. These merit candidates will eventually get good jobs - some multinationals that will take them out this country (that we all want to leave anyways), in fact jobs better than DPR in most cases. Might just take some time, but eventually, most will get what the deserve.

It is DPR that will be left with unmotivated and untouchable (godfather factor) SH staffs at the end of the day. And then later they wil complain that our civil service is shambles!

1.Any top guy at FCC (headquater) can see the list if he is interested
2.the ICT guys at DPR had access to the scores of every candidates after the interview, it wont be difficult to know your scores if you knew your ways
3. How did you think people got t know their names are not on the final list that was guarded by secret service at DPR? Nothing is secret in this country. Once you dig deep, you will know.

Am tempted to ask...How did you see their scores? What is your average score? How did you see your name on the FCC list? (Because we were told here that TOP guys in FCC did not even see the list).

Look, we were decieved and made to believe DPR wil recruit on merit, a guy from my state whose average is 37 was picked ahead of someone who made 90, how can you explain that? If in the beginning we were told its going to be the other way round, i would be chilling with my APL by now. Its still not over yet.

You people are funny with your assumptions. So is it that no SH candidate is brilliant enough to actaully have a great scroe? Maybe they weren't deluded by the whole dpr will recruit on merit BS and decided to find someone to help back them up. And to that person that keeps saying he/she say their name on fcc list welp, 15 names were submitted from fcc but only six made it back. Ask your source why you weren't picked for your zone to give you closure.

The truth is that am disappointed in DPR, especially those in charge of this recruitment not because I didn't get called but because we were deceived and lied to. The likes of Mr Tata and his cohorts, some of his agents in this thread feeding us with falsehood. May God / Allah judge us accordingly.

I don't know if am the only one who spotted a planned deception from our "perceived dpr fatefuls" here feeding us with wrong information and promising us we will be called even after documentation . This is a straregy targeted at detering us from going on with the planned protest. They see this as threat to the offer.

This recruitment is long closed for common man. Less than 10% got it on merit. I have my proofs.
Those discouraging you from embarking on protest are not only selfish but devilish.

We can overcome this little challenge. Let's move on

Favouritism will never end in Nigeria, because you will never campaign against what got you into the system, most of the guys that got in thru stakeholders will be the ones heading these organizations in the next 25-30 years, and they will never preach or practice merit over nepotism, and the cycle continues. The issue is, get your stakeholder or keep the faith.

True talk... I think it might b impossible to completely remove issue of favouritism but what I personally want nd hope for is dat merit shud always get the lion share not d oda way round. It wil b painful if after 2yrs of so much anxiety one is dropped not because u dint merit or do well but simply because someone som where replaced ones name in d name of stakeholder candidate. Good morning,

Work is still in progress. They are not through with the EH list. The Union/DPR management may hold final meeting this week.

The recruitment will be over when the successful ones receive a notification for documentation. For now, the DPR has to ensure that everyone on the list have collected their letters.

The new list can’t be accessed by anyone at this time. Don’t waste your time asking a staff to help confirm or check names because Mr Tata has the list. Everyone should be patient, they will contact the rest.
