These bloodthirsty savages brutally slaughtered more than one thousand innocent men, women, children and infants in Zaria in December, 2015, in less than 72 hours. They burnt and buried innocent civilians alive in the multiple Shia mass graves.

Out of outright & sheer wickedness they abducted the Survivors of the Saudi-sponsored Genocide, instead of taking them to Hospital they dumped them in that dilapidated Kaduna prison with their multiple bullet wounds. Some of them died of those wounds.

Dwarf Satan Elrufai wickedly framed the Survivors with Murder! They spent more than 4 years in that dilapidated Kaduna prison. Two (2) High Courts in Kaduna Freed All of them in a "No Case Submission".

Uyghur Muslims, Chinese Government & Matters Arising

A Sunni brother asked that why are Shia Muslims not active on the Chinese Government oppression against the Uyghur Muslims minority like they are active on the Genocidal Zionist occupation of #Palestine?

I told him his observation is not correct. Some of us are speaking out against the Chinese Government oppression of our Uyghur brothers and sisters.

And that the case of Palestine and Uyghur Muslims is not the same as all the lands of Palestine are under occupation of the racist Israeli savages but in the case of Uyghur the Chinese Government is executing a wicked cultural imperialism agenda to forcefully change the culture, mindset and even Religion of the Uyghur Muslims.

Muslim concentration camps exist in the Xinjiang region of China. The main reason why the Chinese Government has not allowed independent bodies to tour that region. And there are at least 2 million Muslims in those concentration camps undergoing the evil Genocidal agenda of indoctrination to distance them from the teachings of Islam. There are reports that the Muslims enslaved there are fed with pork. I don't know how true is this. This evil agenda of indoctrination will fail. What did the Communist regime in the former Soviet Union not do to distance Muslims from Islam?

The flimsy excuse that the Chinese Government is fighting against the evil ideology of Wahhabism by the mass incarceration of Muslims is simplistic. Though Wahhabism is a disease among Sunni Muslims but placing millions of Muslims in concentrated camps is not the solution.

I am not in support of Iran's policy in relation to the oppression of Uyghur Muslims by the Chinese Government but I understand Iran limitations on that. The Chinese Government is helping Iran evade the barbaric and inhuman sanctions of the Western hegemonic barbarians. And Iran is not the only Muslim majority nation in the world. Where are Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia? Why can't these Muslim majority countries speak against the oppression of our Uyghur brothers and sisters by the Chinese Government?

I do not consider Communist China as a force for good though it is not as evil as the Genocidal US regime and the arrogant regimes of the Western hegemony. China has the ambition to dominate the world economy and they are as greedy as the Western imperialist barbarians. China does not invade weaker nations like the Western hegemonic savages to plunder their rich resources but China want to enslave developing nations with huge debts to dominate and control them. Communist China share the same doctrine with the arrogant West of not transferring technology to developing countries. And China support for Revolutionary current around the world is extremely weak.

On a final note, our Sunni brothers and sisters should up their support for all the world Oppressed. Opposition to evil tyranny and oppression is weak among Sunnis. Some people will claim this is because Sunnism benefited from oppression in the past.

Last month was really not a good one for Nigeria. It was a month that witnessed more than one mass abduction of secondary school students apart from other forms of kidnappings and killings by marauders. It was also a month in which on two occasions Boko Haram released kidnapped people, one a bride and her bridesmaids and the other a local pastor. It was a month of many things but the overall picture was that of hope – hope that Nigerians will overcome their differences and embrace one another as brothers and sisters.

Anyway, why should there be no hope when Femi Fani-Kayode, a man who loves to hate President Muhammadu Buhari, his region, his religion, his people, his tribe, gobbled up his vomit and came to the president’s party in a manner that set tongues a-wagging?

Yes, we are human, with all the human frailties, accentuated by our diverse backgrounds; with parallel, at times clashing, cultures and fire-eating clerics fuelling conflicts.

It is this hubris in us that bared its fangs in Billiri, Gombe State, threatening to shatter the age-old serenity of the state.

Mai Abdu Buba Maisheru (II), the 15th Mai Tangle (Tangale), returned to his creator after being on the throne for 20 years. Soon a group of Tangale women spread into the streets of Billiri to protest what they thought was the silence, or foot-dragging by the state government in naming a successor, a new Mai Tangale.

The protest was peaceful but protests have ways of assuming lives of their own. And in more cases than one they get hijacked by undesirable elements. Such turncoats have no qualms about causing havoc, mayhem and unimaginable pain to society.

Unfortunately, such harbingers of pain get aided by certain factors. The day of the protest and the leaning of security agents could swing the action. Any protest in Nigeria that occurs on either of the two worship days – Friday or Sunday – can spiral out of control. The religion of the majority of the protesters generally determines the day the protest would start and the path the protesters would follow. Nigerians can protest over religion and tribe but hardly over how such is used to mismanage them.

But security agencies can always nip such protests in the bud. This is so because all protests begin with small talks here and there – in churches, in mosques, in markets, where people gather, etc. One can see the storm gathering in people’s frustrations and venting of anger. Sometimes the air thickens with impending trouble. Therefore a dutiful security agent can pick up the scent of impending mass action and pass it to his supervisors who know what to do. But in Nigeria, sometimes security agents are part of the problem.

The Billiri protest started on a Friday, unfortunately, and the obvious targets would be Muslims and mosques. In viral videos, you could see fully kitted security agents watching the mayhem calmly. Their calmness and body language gave the impression that they were not against what was happening.

It is just unfortunate that the Billiri or rather Mai Tangale succession issue became embroiled in violence. The Tangale people are generally some of the most friendly and most social of tribes in the North East. It is hard to believe that they can dissolve into violence.

But should religion even be a problem in selecting the Mai Tangale? This is because the Mai is not an Imam that leads the Muslim faithful in prayer or a pastor that shepherds the congregation. He is just a custodian of the Tangale culture and tradition and that duty can be done by any, either a Muslim or a Christian.

Perhaps this is why there have been baton changes between Muslims and Christians among those that have ruled the Tangale. Being a chiefdom created by the British to ease their indirect rule, the first Mai, Galadima Yilah Ashile, a Christain from Dantha ruling house, was appointed in 1906. He was deposed in 1923 and Maiyamba Tara da Uku or Kwa (1923-1951) became the first person from the Billiri clan to rule the entire Tangale.

The Tangale history has it that their past rulers practised the traditional religion of their ancestors. However, MaiyambaTara da Uku later converted to Islam. Iliyasu Maiyamba, who succeeded him was a Muslim and ruled for 35 years between 1951 and 1986. Again, his son Muhammad, who can be seen to be a Muslim from his name, succeeded him and was on the throne for 11 years.

When he died in 1997, and after a protracted legal tussle (a story for another day, perhaps) Dr Abdu Buba Maisheru, a Christian, became the Mai Tangale in 2001 till his death after 20 years on the throne. The Muslims, then, did not challenge his emergence, nor was there any protest of any kind.

This may be one of the reasons why a statement signed by Reverend Liman Umaru, Tangale DCC chairman, and Engr Istifanus Amlai on behalf of Christian elders, condemned the actions of the disgruntled few and went on to say that “these actions by these few individuals do not represent what the people of Tangale and Christians stand for. We condemn their actions in strong terms and we disassociate ourselves from them and their actions. These individuals are very few and they do not speak for us through their actions.”
“The Holy Bible in Romans Chapter 13 V. 1-7 teaches Christians that they should not rebel against constituted authorities because they are established by God, as the Bible admonishes us to be obedient.

“We, therefore, recognize that the final and utmost decision and approval of who becomes and ascends to the throne of the next Mai Tangale is vested upon the shoulders of the governor!”

To show that all responsible Tangale sons frowned at what happened, the Billiri Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Reverend John Joseph, went out of his way to apologise on behalf of his flock to the state governor, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, and consoled the Chief Imam of the town, Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi, over the loss of lives and property, including places of worship of Muslims.

All these can only happen in climes where there is so much trust deficit that people believe they can only get their wish through blackmailing leaders and governments through religion and tribe. In the Billiri case, they are all one tribe, though various clans.

However, it is in times like this that great leaders are forged. Whatever happened has happened, the next step is that of damage control and proactive measures to unite a people temporarily disunited by mistrust. And this is where Governor Yahaya demonstrated his skills in assuaging frayed nerves.

He organised a stakeholders’ meeting that brought everyone together. Warring factions came together and ironed out their differences and a lot of others saw through their folly. He made them see that in a small state like Gombe, all are brethren because schools, markets, places of worship and work, business environments and leisure spots have brought a greater percentage of people of different backgrounds into contact with one another. Therefore they should not allow their beautiful, fast-developing state to be turned into a cauldron by persons pursuing a parochial agenda.

Update on the Illegal Trial of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (08/03/2021)

There was a slight delay in the court proceedings as the Legal Counsel of Sheikh Zakzaky, Femi Falana (SAN), had a Flight delay from Lagos to Kaduna. The court session started at about 12 noon.

The Prosecutor Counsel presented his first witness that is a police officer Bala Abdullahi. He made the same presentation like he made in the other two cases against the 200+ Survivors of the Saudi-sponsored #ZariaGenocide. The Survivors were discharged and acquitted by those two courts.

Falana SAN asked Bala Abdullahi: You said 253 people were brought to you by the Nigerian army and you questioned 3, are Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife among them?

Bala Abdullahi answered No.

Falana SAN asked Bala Abdullahi: Do you know that the 253 people were charged with culpable homicide for killing a soldier? Bala answered Yes. Then Falana SAN asked him: Do you know that courts has freed all of them? Bala said he don't know.

Femi Falana (SAN) discovered discrepancies in Bala Abdullahi present presentation and his other presentation to the two other courts.

Falana asked Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bala Abdullahi: In 2016 you told a court that you recovered 19 Bow � from the Survivors and today you said you recovered 14 Bow �? Why?

Falana SAN asked Bala Abdullahi: When you gave witness in 2016 in one of the court cases you said it was 8 locally made guns, how did the number increased to 10 today? He said he don't know.

And when you gave witness in 2018 in one of the court cases you did not include the 10 locally made guns that you presented now? Bala said he don't know.

Falana SAN asked Bala Abdullahi: In the past you included 1200 Sim cards, where are they? He said he don't know.

The illegal Trial of Sheikh Ibraheem #Zakzaky continue today...

The court case initiated by the bloodthirsty Sunni extremists in power in Nigeria who brutally murdered more than one thousand Shia civilians in Zaria against the biggest Victim of that Saudi-sponsored Genocide continue today & tomorrow (8/3/2021 & 9/3/2021).

The fact that this illegal Trial has lasted this far is due to the foot dragging of the Buhari gang of bloodthirsty killers. They had hoped that Sheikh Zakzaky will die in that dilapidated Kaduna prison due to his injuries.

The family of Sheikh Zakzaky suffered rains of bullets of the Nigerian army after they burnt his house with him and his family inside. The plan was to burnt them alive but the God that saved Prophet Ibraheem (as) also saved this Ibraheem (H).

Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and his wife are Survivors of the Saudi-sponsored brutal and inhuman Genocide in Zaria. Two (2) competent courts in Kaduna had freed all the 200+ Survivors abducted by the Nigeria Army with "No Case Submission".

"No Case Submission" means the Buhari gang of bloodthirsty killers have no single evidence on the fake, fraudulent and fabricated trump-up charges against Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife.

A Federal High Court in Abuja Freed Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife on 2nd December, 2016, but Tyrant Buhari contemptuously refused to obey the judgement of the court.

The prosecutor Counsel was supposed to end their witness presentation in the last sitting but devilishly dragged that for another 2 months. The day has arrive.

Northern Christians, Wahhabism and the West

There is substantial Christian minority population in Northern Nigeria, more than 25 million. Christians are majority in 3 Northern states; Benue, Plateau and Taraba states. And large minority in Kogi, Nasarawa, Adamawa and Kaduna states.

With this large population they are equal to 4 states in the South East region. The neighboring Niger Republic is less than 25 million.

Northern Christians have 2 major problems; lack of unity and lack of progressive leadership. Tribal unity dominates the settings of Northern Christians. And most of their leaders are allied to the extremely wicked and corrupt Northern Oligarchy.

The bad Governance that is effecting Muslim-dominated states same with the Christian-dominated states of Northern Nigeria. The same disease of a failed system affecting everybody.

Northern Nigeria was peaceful devoid of religious crisis until the advent of Wahhabism in mid 70s. Wahhabis as usual became busy spreading Christian hate among the Muslim majority population. In the past in places like Kaduna state, Muslims and Christians lived together as neighbors but that is not the case today. Wahhabi hate mongering and acute intolerance at work. Prevalence of Wahhabism in any society is a threat to peace and peaceful coexistence.

Christians of the North East are facing existential threats from BokoHaram Wahhabi terrorists. Saudi-sponsored Murderous Wahhabi Terrorism is an existential threats to all Christians everywhere. All the abducted #ChibokGirls are Christians. Half of them are still in captivity for more than 6 years.

Yesterday A Nigerian Activist who is a Christian wrote about how US policy makers abandoned the Christian minorities of the Middle East. He wrote:

"The same way US policy makers and diplomats ignore the Christian population Iraq & Egypt, is the same way they ignore the Christian population of Northern Nigeria.
But Nigeria's case is a bit different. Northern Nigeria's Christian population is quite significant."

And I replied him:

"Western imperialism is not equal to Christianity. The Western hegemons only uses Christianity when it suited their vested interest. The most important interest of the arrogant West is Wealth accumulation at all cost even if it means to invade a country & plunder it rich resources."

On a Final Note, the Muslim majority of Northern Nigeria should learn the tolerance and the bridge building activities by the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky with our Christian Brothers and Sisters. The hate mongering of the bloodthirsty Wahhabis should be rejected. No society will develop and make progress with hate mongering, acute intolerance and murderous Terrorism which are the pillars of the evil ideology of Wahhabism.

Friday Reflection: The Pope Visit to Iraq...

The Bishop of Rome #Pope made a historic visit to Iraq today. Iraq is a land full of history and ancient civilization. The Father of Monotheism, Prophet Abraham (as), was born in the ancient Iraqi town of Ur in 1,900 BC.

Iraq recorded the first Christian community in the world. The Eastern Church was born in Iraq. The ancient Churches in Mosul are older than Islam.

Before the US-led invasion of Iraq there were more than 1.5 million Iraqis who are Christians. They are the descendants of the ancient Churches. Sadly, but now there are less than half a million Christians in Iraq. The Genocidal US regime brought ISIS and murderous Wahhabi terrorist groups to Iraq that pose existential threats to Iraqi Christians. Without the Righteous Resistance of Shia-led forces in Iraq under the leadership of General Qassem Sulaimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhadis there will today not be a single Christian in Iraq. The US regime under Trump cowardly assasinated these two famous Commanders who protected Iraqi Christians from the bloodthirsty Wahhabi savages.

And if I may ask where was Pope when all these things that were enabled by the arrogant West were happening? Where was the voice of the Pope when Christians of Iraq and Syria were targeted for elimination and extinction by the Saudi-backed Al-Qaeda and ISIS barbarians? Where was the Pope when the nuns of the ancient Syrian Christian town of Maaloula were kidnapped and raped by Western-backed Wahhabi Terrorists? The language spoken by Jesus (as) is still spoken in Maaloula till date.

Having said all these it is important to note that Christianity is the closest Religion to Islam as only these two Monotheist Religions accepted and celebrated the miraculous Birth of Jesus (as) and the chastity of his Blessed Mother, Mary (as). The meetings of Pope and Iraqi Islamic Scholars led by Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani (H) should be geared towards strengthening the historic ties between Muslims and Christians.

As an after thought, Muslims should disregard the fake, fraudulent and fabricated narrative by Wahhabis that Christians are enemies of Muslims. The first leader that saved Muslims from the extreme persecution of the Qureish was the Just Ethiopian king who was a Christian. He respected Islam and protected Muslims. The overwhelming majority of Muslims are against the Christian Genocide agenda of murderous Wahhabi Terrorism that is sponsored by the Saudi Wahhabi regime.

On a final note, we call on the Bishop of Rome who is the undisputed leader of the Roman Catholic Church to stop enabling the heinous crimes and atrocities of the Genocidal imperialist barbarians of the West. Christianity is not Western imperialism and Western imperialism is not Christianity.

A local court in Kano has stopped the planned public debate between Sheikh AbdulJabbar Kabara and Clerics that are opposed to him.

This act of desperation is unprecedented by this gang that fraudulently claimed Islamic Scholarship. The foundation of Islam is knowledge but why are these Clerics scared of a public debate that will be broadcast live? Why, we ask?

The Kano state government said it will abide by the court Judgement.

We Have Genocide Survivors in Nigeria

I recently watched a Film on Genocide Survivors & I realized that some of us here in Nigeria are Genocide Survivors. Hundreds of us! 200+ of those Survivors were abducted by the Nigerian army and Elrufai dumped them in that dilapidated Kaduna prison and wickedly framed them with Murder!

Two High Courts in Kaduna Freed all of them after spending more than 4 years in that dilapidated Kaduna prison. Can you imagine this level of extreme wickedness and monstrous evilness?

Among the Survivors of the brutal and inhuman Saudi-sponsored Genocide in Zaria are some with life threatening injuries. Some of them still have multiple bullets inside their bodies. The bullets are in delicate places as removing then will cause their deaths. They have to be buying expensive drugs to relieve them of the constant pains.

The Genocide in Zaria was a crime of the century. More than one thousand innocent men, women, children and infants were brutally slaughtered by the Nigerian army in less than 72 hours.

Pregnant women were shot in the stomach to kill the mother and the unborn child. Women and girls were shot in their private parts and stabbed their breasts with Riffle bayonet by the Nigerian army chanting "No Shia in Nigeria!".

The Genocide in Zaria is the worst human slaughter in the history of Nigeria. All the Victims were wickedly buried in the multiple Shia Mass graves by the bloodthirsty Sunni extremists in power in Nigeria.

I had intended to continue with the topic, ‘Nigeria and Presidential Democracy: Any Better Alternative? (3)’ but I had to suspend it; it is more of a proposal for the future. I had to look at what was immediate. Boko Haram (translated to mean Western education is a sin) advocates are threatening to overwhelm the North and impose their creed on a docile, perhaps Janus-faced like people.

Since kidnapping for ransom became a fad on the Abuja-Kaduna road and in the bushes of the northwestern and central states of Nigeria, I started shouting here that it is a financial drive by Boko Haram. The kidnappers belong to their economic arm. They are only ignorant foot-soldiers being used as cannon fodder.

On December 24, 2018, I wrote on this page: “In the North West, armed bandits, perhaps Boko Haram with a different face, are threatening to take over with Zamfara State almost under their control. It is under their control, well, almost, because they ransack communities at will, kill, maim and take as many as they can with them for ransom. The bandits can come to a marriage gathering and just demand the bride-to-be and she would be handed over to them, with thanks.

“The North Central has become a traveller’s nightmare – from Rijau, Birnin Gwari, Gwanin Gora, Rijana through Kaduna and down to the suburbs of the Plateau. One travels at one’s own risk as even four-star generals are not safe, being killed at will. Herdsmen kill every moving object and sack villages, burning everything to ashes. Kidnappers are also having a field day. Are some of them, especially the herdsmen and kidnappers another face of Boko Haram, getting them the much-needed cash?

“Our security apparatuses possibly need a total overhaul and assistance from elsewhere. There has to be synergy among the different actors, and there is the need for modern policing methods and the revival of community policing.”

Yet two weeks later I again wrote: “We have been at war for quite a long time but it became all the more apparent with the return of the Dapchi girls. There was a real ceasefire when the girls were returned, the type we see in areas that are in a state of war, like Syria, Columbia with the FARC rebels and in parts of Congo and Uganda, where the Lord’s Resistance Army operates.

“It is real war when a militant organisation can ‘force’ the Nigerian government to sit with it and reach an agreement brokered by international bodies under the international Law of Armed Conflict.

“The president was quoted as ordering his service chiefs not to allow the abductions of girls again. A citizen, in the first place, would expect the president to tell his service chiefs not to allow the abduction of any citizen, not only schoolgirls. All citizens are citizens and want to feel equal before the law or before the eyes of their president.

“Farmers and voiceless Nigerians are being abducted by those who have declared war on Nigeria but we have allowed them to play the music while we dance to the tunes.

“And it is this sort of thinking by governments that make the militants strong. The ordinary citizen sees them as strong and comes to see that his government cannot protect him. It makes the ordinary citizen lose confidence in the country. Little wonder some abducted Nigerians have switched allegiance while others hail the terrorists (as happened in Dapchi) as ‘saviours’ because the people of Dapchi and elsewhere saw the kind of power that should reside with their government being exercised by enemies of the state.

“What has happened to our intelligence-gathering ability, especially in front-line states like Borno and Yobe, that Boko Haram fighters would gather, strut confidently, and move in convoys, sacking military bases, villages and towns, at will? Yet our army cannot confront them without support from the air force? The implication is that our soldiers are no match for them.”

It is quite a wonder how scores of marauders riding motorcycles with sawed-off silencers can leave the bushes, come to towns, operate for hours and pick hundreds of students and return to the bushes unchallenged. In the not-so-distant past, our security agencies used to have operatives called “stool pigeons”. They were the backbone of human intelligence (HUMINT) gathering. They could be deployed in strategic areas/locations as tailors, shoe shiners, water vendors, etc.

Now, such HUMINT operatives can be scattered across the towns such that the moment insurgents or their economic arm, the bandits, come out, the operational headquarters of our security agencies will be aware. They could be farmers, hunters, villagers and even herders who are all over the places.

The way the innocent child sees its father as a superhero who will give it protection is the way the innocent citizen should consider his country. Unfortunately, we are learning the hard way that in Nigeria, no matter what happens, life goes on. The people’s innocence has been deflowered but most importantly, their confidence in their country has been shot to pieces. We should fear the day when the citizens will no longer have respect for a government or society that cannot protect its own.

But such is even what is already happening. For instance, it is because the government has not lived up to the expectations of the citizens that concerned individuals like Sheikh Ahmad Gumi are taking the bull by the horns. And on the negative side, we have people like Sunday Igboho taking the law into their hands to “rid their areas of menace”.

The terrorist is by nature a leach; give him an inch and he will take a mile. But the worst aspect of the whole thing is that it is as if the federal government is not aware that it is dealing with ruthless, very intelligent terrorist organisations that see whatever they are doing as mind games.

Because we have failed to protect the weak, governments are not concerned about the plight of abducted individuals; the bandits have now become more emboldened. They go for those that the government must talk about. And it is working for them because in doing so, they are forcing the hand of the government to do what they desire: abolition of western education.

Our schools are no longer the safe havens they used to be. Students and staff leave in fear of those who will come and take them unchallenged. The worst is that even if one is killed by them while doing it, nothing happens. Students have been shot to death in the recent kidnappings, yet the kidnappers are being thanked for “releasing” others. Who is to be held accountable for the death of the student? Is there anyone willing or ready to make someone pay for that crime?

So, the government on its own is now closing down schools – exactly what the terrorists want. For how long, not even the government knows. More numbers are now being added to our millions of out-of-school kids that we are yet to do anything for or about. What will Boko Haram-orchestrated out-of-school children be doing? Any plans by the government for them or would they be roaming the streets with their minds idle, becoming the devil’s workshop? Does that sound like the death knell of education in Nigeria, specifically the north?

As long as criminals will not be brought to justice, as long as we continue treating them with kids gloves, so long shall we continue to play into their hands. They see how others were given “amnesty” and “deradicalised” for taking up arms against the state, wreaking havoc on communities and letting blood flow. They see that the worse that can happen to them is “condemnation”. But condemnations, like rebukes, are meant for those who recognise your authority over them. This class of criminals do not recognise the condemning authorities.

Of course one can understand the dilemma facing the government. On the one hand, there is the need to assuage public outcry and parents’ concern, hence the negotiations. On the other hand, the military and various intelligence agencies are finding it hard to end the menace posed by the insurgents and the bandits who are being fed with enough seed money to recruit, train and buy more arms. It is Hobson’s choice for the government.

I want to leave us with a short story written by one Aigg Giwa-Amu: The President was informed. The information got to him at 11 pm on the fateful day. He placed a call to the Deputy Governor of the State and told him tersely “…if by 10 am the next morning, your sons in the Niger Delta do not release the hostages, grass shall not grow in that region for the remaining part of my 4 years Presidency…”

_The deputy Governor went into the creeks that night to negotiate the release of the hostages. They were released at 9 am the next day. They were Italians, British and French. That President was Olusegun Obasanjo. That deputy Governor was Goodluck Jonathan._
