If the poster meant black person (man or woman) As at now, I don't think even Mandela has the power Oprah has. Remember that Oprah put gay and bi-sexual rights on the table for average americans. Her influence on white america is so strong That's why Obama is highly rated to have won her endorsement Oprah Gail Winfrey (born January 29, 1954) is the American multiple-Emmy Award winning host of The Oprah Winfrey Show, the highest-rated talk show in television history.[1] She is also an influential book critic, an Academy Award-nominated actress, and a magazine publisher. She has been ranked the richest African American of the 20th century, the most philanthropic African American of all time, and the world's only black billionaire for three straight years. She is also, according to some assessments, the most influential woman in the world http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oprah_Winfrey#Rankings_as_World.27s_most_influential_woman Check this out Winfrey's influence reaches far beyond pop-culture and into unrelated industries where many believe she has the power to cause enormous market swings and radical price changes with a single comment. During a show about mad cow disease with Howard Lyman (aired on April 16, 1996), Winfrey exclaimed, "It has just stopped me cold from eating another burger!" Texas cattlemen sued her and Lyman in early 1998 for "false defamation of perishable food" and "business disparagement", claiming that Winfrey's remarks subsequently sent cattle prices tumbling, costing beef producers some USD$12 million. On February 26, after a trial spanning over two months in an Amarillo, Texas court in the thick of cattle country, a jury found Winfrey and Lyman were not liable for damages. (After the trial, she received a postcard from Roseanne Barr reading, “Congratulations, you beat the meat!”) In June 2005 the first case of mad cow disease in a cow native to the United States was detected in Texas. The USDA concluded that it was most likely infected in Texas prior to 1997. In 2005 Winfrey was named the greatest woman in American history as part of a public poll as part of The Greatest American. She was ranked #9 overall on the list of greatest Americans. Winfrey's reach extends far beyond the shores of the U.S., where 49 million U.S. viewers see her talk show weekly. The show airs in 117 countries around the world “from Australia to Zimbabwe.” I don't think even Mandela has this kind of power. . . |
@toyin and ifyalways any direction them bags are going remember me ohh. . . ![]() |
@kateflow just choose ![]() |
Ok, tis one's gon be long @Sly and uzzy ssup, what's guanin @kateflow it's going as planned ![]() u know what time ![]() @ogre and toyin na una know ![]() this one that u guys now have private name let bros * *catch u ![]() @efuah err. . .i don't have an answer for that ![]() @ib yo sexy, aw u, hop ur day was cool ![]() |
@Cougar Good point, but that match was not just any match, it was the first match ever to be played on Emirates. Allowing him to play freely could have been a really bad thing for us. . . Remember he even had a chance to score th first goal ever at Ashburon Grove. . . Any other match would have let Arsenal fans leave him freely but this was a historic moment for us. Besides the rivalry we have wiv Spurs is only to be compared with Everton-Liverfluke Any Westham player would go easily without being booed @ritchboy lol. . .nice one there |
@toyin what's gud, so wapa? since when did u guys become namesakes? @ogre do i need to hold a 21day nairaland fasting and prayer before u put a new pic in ur profile ![]() @topic hurray!!! the cats are back!!! |
@dayokanu As I did before I will try my best to dig out the necessity in your post now let's see Franz Beckenbauer: Sucessful footballer, Football Commentator, FIFA role, Organising committee of FIFA World Cup 2006(Laudable) Karlheinz Rummenigge: Sucessful footballer, fotball commentator no noticeable achievement after playing days. Ulli Hoeness Again another sucessful footballer that knows nothing about how to run a football enterprise Karl Hopfner- not impressive enough for a board member of a top organisation, Business Economics degree, so what. . .my team's coach/manager has that. If that 'show me your board and I will tell you the type of organisation you have' is anything to go by, what kind of club is Bayern? I don't want to start with my defintion of a board with top class professional qualifications. |
Bayern is a big club and does not beg for riff raff as fans beep, we don't beg for fans we just play good football and sell tv rights to the rite people families and friends win the fans. . . look at our board and see the who is who in the football world. Look at your board and what do you see. . .we fired the head of the G-14, he is now back forcing his way into the board A Month ago on Sanusi Fafunwa I saw a mad Man wearing Arsenal jersey. mad men too like champagne football ![]() |
congratulations, please give us your adress so we'll come to the party na wa oo |
@cougar abeg leave the guy alone jare, the dude is like some founder of a new religion that has no followers. . . ![]() his own theory is so hilarious at least the guests are having fun and rolling off thier chairs |
@Cougar Gerrard was seriously booed in the begining of the match but when it subsided he increased it by making tackles at Rooney and some other scummers. What are u even saying? even at thier best Gerrard and Crouch get abused at OT England games @ritchboy lol. . .i guess he didn't take the match serious but he sure ain't no slowpoke ![]() |
Why should they boo Davids? simple he is an ex-Spurs player. That was the first match being played in Ashburton Grove and some rival player is involved It is totally acceptable for us to to boo any player that has ever worn our rival's shirt Except they come and play for us like Diarra and Campbell ![]() Remember the england squad was not booed at emirates after they missed Euro08 qualification majority of the prem clubs even booed thier own players that have at any time played in the england team e.gbentley @ritchboy that match ur talking about is the man utd vs uefa XI |
@ritchboy first of all, ur not really meant to go to war with my guy over this it's so obvious pires is not up to ronaldo level forget the age ronaldo is popularly called names like god and diety in portugal he's the best thing that has ever happened to the premiership since henry pires was great no doubt but he ain't evn the best winger in arsenal history we've had wingers that are better than him countless times due to fergayson's love for wing football, he has been able to develop great wingers like giggs and becks, we can't just take that from him ronaldo is his luckiest strike according to him so let's leave it like that though we don't really need him now, we hope he get's injured more often @tkb what's ur own with ganja gunners is it thier fault that they love good football i've seen coke high scum fans here in the uk and jackal has not yet burnt his own ![]() |
@fakaay rotf!!! hmmn, guy dis ur step is dangerous ohh ur lucky the wrong people have not seen this but good guts anyways ![]() |
@cougar u got it all wrong there, did u miss the report where henry said he'll still come to emirates and watch games when he's free when he said he'll like to work in arsenal after his career ends. . . T14 is an arsenal legend and he is respected at that, theboard got criticised for selling viera by these same arsenal fans. . . pires is one of the main figures in arsenal opus the ones that get the heat from the crowd are the traitors like ljunberg and cashley cole that went to london teams when we needed them the most. besides diarra is not even worth a standing ovation, alan smith left man utd by first paying respect to the fans not by releasing autobiographies to diss the rest of the players |
u can't blame me ohh, everyone here likes them, u won't believe pple pay buy them at prices from 2-5quint and rent for 1 or two pounds especially my sis why i said it was fun is becuase even the horror ones are still comedy there's always sumfin to laugh about in the action ones u'll see them jumping on visible sand and believing they're doing stunts abeg i just hope they never get serious cus they are so funny to watch |
@toyin don't mind me jare, there was nothing i could do, the freak kept putting my name in up to four different threads, i just had to finish him up for good. . .he later had to hide his face anywayz. . .before he played the diss-naija card. ur stlill watching online nigeria, eeya. . .sky has given us free nollywood channel(at least for now) they show good movies though. . .one thing bout them is that they don't have subtitles so it's really hard to flow with them. . . @hollandis the funniest parts are the sex scenes,u need to see this one i'm watching rite now. . .lmao |
We can't totally blame Diarra for wanting the first team so badly As at last season, it was so obvious that Flamini wanted to go to Juve Gilberto was going to the Copa America That offer is something any player will take I think he didn't just expect Flamini to stay and hit this kind of form and he was told that he could have about two months to hold on the shirt no player from a top four team will leave his club to come and be a third-string sub I wish him well though it's really going to be hard for him to break into the Pompey team |
@toyin oh i forgot we were actually meant to look at profiles, my bad ![]() |
dressed my own up in a dinner gown and jewels but the golden globes got cacelled ![]() |
