I just got too addicted to Twitter . . . weird place, a lot of fun though.
I didn't know you's lot were planning a coup over here. grin grin

It's funny how I've been on this site for almost five years, that scares me.

It's good to know we still have true artistes like Sound Sultan.
The versatility of his styles will put many rappers to shame.
Music/RadioRe: M.i.'s New Track "lost" - Who Did Better? M.i. Or Loose Kaynon ? by eldee(m): 11:17am On Jul 20, 2011
semid4lyfe:
Here's my take. . . .

Loose Kaynon was better lyrically but his voice was kinda juvenile and lacked conviction in the things he was saying. . .I mean, L. Kaynon sounded like a pre-puberty teen to me.

M.I didn't do as well as L. Kaynon lyrically but his voice was deeper & mature, sounded more arrogant, cocky, confident and believable.

I'll go with M.I on this one
I don't think I'll ever be shocked with M.I's bragging or smooth delivery anymore, I'm just waiting for him to express a different emotion . . . probably fear, jealousy, anger or vulnerability.
I heard one unreleased track a while back, I hope it gets on Illegal Music II, he was talking bout how he was jealous of Jesse Jags.

We thank God for the life of MI o? grin And Eldee was trying to sell us MI2. . . .tsheew nonsense wink.

Stick up flow, give me you money and put your hands up . . . . . his head is still there.

Meanwhile Kaynon killed this one, easy.
I've said it before, M.I 2 covered more socio-political issues than Talk About it. . .and was more effective in the fact that it had a wider demographic coverage. . . mission accomplished.
Someone like Mode talked about way more pressing issues, but at the end of the day, only 'Cry' actually achieved that aim, and we all know he's tried.

I said . . . he doesn't need to impress 'hiphop heads' he did that already . . . now he's killing London shows at the O2, and you can't get that using 'Safe' and 'Anoti' alone.
If you want M.I's old ish, get his old album and mixtape or better still wait.

I made these two points in November 2010 . . . you should know by now that I'm rarely ever wrong. grin grin

rapjunkie:
. . .the examples you have pointed out are not similar in any way. akon has had smash hits, usher and weezy too. unfortunately, whether you want to accept it or not, MI hasnt had a no holds barred smash hit. yes he does very well with the aje-butter crowd but he has never had a 'gongo aso' 'yahooze' 'yori yori' or 'oleku'
We won't get an exact like for like situation, but Lady Gaga eclipsed Akon's achievement with just one album.

If you're saying Ice Prince has eclipsed M.I's career achievements, then she should be the perfect example, at the end of the day, we're not hearing of any negativity there.

This is all in your head man, it's good discourse though . . . but let's hope Kenny Ogungbe releases a Kelly Hansome diss, now that will be interesting. grin grin

I'll ignore your rants bout me not doing the moderator job properly, holla at me if it being a mod will make your life fulfilled. I'm accepting recommendations. tongue

That said . . . you made an interesting point bout Oleku.
I could come here and argue with you bout how Ice Prince's other singles have been average, but then that's not an issue.
The issue is has that brought 'fire in Chocolate City'?? Has the success enjoyed by Ice Prince, caused anything than more achievements for the group?? No you idiot.

This is the B.S y'all create, trivial nonsense for your entertainment. . .at least till you can prove it.
Akon-Gaga, Usher-Justin, Weezy-Drake . . . we've not heard of any fire there have we, and we both know who's achieved more.

And if we're talking about the trivial human emotions that don't cause fuckall, why don't we talk bout how Kanye West secretly wants to shag Beyonce Knowles, just like every other scrotum carrying human.

@eldee, Why are u on d offensive side? Where in d thread did i say that M.I is jealous of Iceprince? What i said is dat peeps are now insinuating dat M.I might get jealous of Iceprince when he drops his album. And i then asked a question if u guyz think dat Iceprince will take d spotlight from M.I before d end of dis year? As for d ''topic'' itself, dat is what is called ''Capturing the reader's Attention''. I have a degree in ''English'' and a specialist in ''Language'' so i know what am doing. But if u think u can insult me, then it says more about u. Maybe u are still in your late teens and ''juvenille delinquency'' is still your problem. I know your type and i dont bother with your lots. ''Posh areas'' dont have any business with d ''Ghettos''. Am too BIG for u. Datz why i will always respect Lalaboiy, always diplomatic and too sensible and matured.
Congratulations . . . what have you achieved by listing the sum total of academic qualifications in your family??
On sum 'I have a degree in English and a specialist in Language' . . . I guess that changes the price of second hand clothes in Mammy Market.
Damn, you're hilarious maynne.

Dude, i can see the best thing that has happened to you so far is being a moderator on nairaland. That is why in real life you are a computer geek but on nairaland you are a king(smh), hiding behind a system and bullying people all in the name of being a moderator.
I can also see your knowledge on a lot of issues is limited,  i'll advise you to go and start from primary 4, maybe that might help your iq.

ps: i thought you said you were to big to reply me  huh  slowey pokey  angry

That's the problem with today's youth, if you call a simple BB Google search 'research', then your lack of knowledge does not surprise me.
Music/RadioRe: M.i.'s New Track "lost" - Who Did Better? M.i. Or Loose Kaynon ? by eldee(m): 11:53pm On Jul 13, 2011
Loose Kaynon is evil maynne, that guy killed it. . . I actually didn't expect M.I to come this close to him though.
But he got straight to the subject matter of the song.

'They can't take what's yours, but it's fun to watch them try'

Even in losing I win.

'I hate to disappoint them but they just wanna see Loose lose.'

M.I no gree carry last too though.

Overall it's a really good song, the creativity in playing around with the Coldplay sample.
And M.I seems to be unable to go angry on any track, but then it's hard to be when his 'marketer just called to say he did a million in the east'.

rapjunkie:
do u need a dictionary for the definition of jealous?
GST 101: Use of English.

'Jealousy is a secondary emotion and typically refers to the negative thoughts and feelings of insecurity, fear, and anxiety over an anticipated loss of something that the person values, particularly in reference to a human connection.'

Fire in Chocolate City: - Negative thoughts.
Scared: - Fear, Anxiety, Insecurity
The Spotlight - Something M.I values.

Inference - huh

There's your free English lesson.

@Tosin

You see why I stay off the threads?? Stupidity is overrated, it takes more than stupidity to come up with this B.S.
Imagine the B.S that plonker came up with in the name of a reply. . . saying M.I is not up there.
How many artistes in Nigeria do you know that have come up with three critically and commercially applauded works.

This is the same M.I that headlined the M.I2 Tour of England, the same M.I that got the Choc Boyz a Westwood interview.
Funniest thing is M.I's claim to being a successful label C.E.O is the fact that Ice Prince, Brymo and Jagz are doing well.
To this idiots, he should be jealous of them. . . #OshiOda

Dude, I don't owe you fuckall. The point is there, if you can't see it then, the insults were probably accurate.

Where did you learn your own law from? The law says all offenders are DEEMED INNOCENT until PROVEN GUILTY (a constitutional provision. The provision on "Fair Hearing" be precise). It is NEVER the job of any offender to prove his/her innocence, it is DEEMED or (more technically) "presumed" from the onset. It is the job of the prosecution to prove her guilt, all she has to do is introduce "reasonable doubt." {see the case of DPP v. some guy I cannot recall at this moment}. So please, check your facts before passing comments, lest you seem like a f.o.o.l to the learned.
Nice.

Some people are just daft, M.I had the most successful album of 2010. . . easily.
Now in 2011, he brought his boy on the Westwood, toured the US and all that and you say he's 'jealous'??

So now, Usher signed Justin Beiber, he's supposed to be 'jealous' of Justin's success when it's a symbiotic relationship??
How can I say this without being disrespectful?? Typical idiots.
