Kano State Coalition of Ulama and Non-Governmental Organisations have called on Governor Abdullahi Ganduje to disengage all Frenchmen in the services of the state government, following President Emmanuel Macron’s comment which has ignited an outrage in the Muslim world.

The Kano Islamic group in a communiqué signed by its Organising Secretary Dr. Saidu Dukawa, called for the immediate replacement of French language with Arabic language in the curriculum of all public schools in the state.

It has been alleged that Kaduna-born Nigerian actress, Rahama Sadau is at the verged of facing death penalty following charges of blasphemy filed against her for ‘bringing insult’ on Islam’s prophet Muhammad.

The Street Journal had earlier reported that the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has ordered the arrest and investigation of Kannywood star, Rahama Sadau after a complaint was lodged with the police over a series of sexually explicit images of the Prophet Muhammad.

The Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum has warned youths taking part in #EndSARS protests across the country to be careful of the demonstration.

Soldiers manning the gate at the Military Hospital in Ikoyi prevented the Lagos judicial panel on EndSARS from accessing the hospital’s mortuary as they investigate Lekki tollgate shooting.

President Muhammadu Buhari has reappointed Professor Mahmood Yakubu as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for another five-year term.

A Brazilian prisoner nicknamed ‘Lucifer’ has been accused of murdering 48 other inmates during his 25 years behind bars.


Marcos Paulo da Silva also known as Lucifer, is a thief-turned-serial killer was first jailed for petty theft at the age of 18 in 1995, before he became a vicious killer. He is known to cut off the heads of his fellow inmates before discarding their dead bodies.

A South African woman has been charged with murdering a British grandfather who travelled to see her eight years after another man she met on Facebook went missing.

The woman, Zaheera Boomgaard has been charged with the murder of Jamnadas Harkant Nathvani, 71, whose body was found burned beyond recognition in Walkerville, south of Johannesburg.

Amarjeet Sada became known as the world’s youngest serial killer after he killed for the first time at age 7 and continued killing afterwards.


Amarjeet had allegedly killed three people by the age of eight, two of whom were related to him.

Several protesters were killed on Tuesday night when Nigerian soldiers opened fire on protesters at the Lekki toll gate.

The soldiers attacked the protesters after the Lagos State Government imposed a 24-hour curfew. The number of those who were killed still remains sketchy with several others sustaining injuries.

Emergency personnel and ambulances were initially denied access by the soldiers at the Lekki toll plaza Lagos.

The recent #EndSARS protest has exposed many atrocities that have been committed by many officers of the now-defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), including those allegedly perperated by one James Nwafor.

James Nwafor was a former commander of the Awkuzu SARS who retired from service as a CSP and still rose, despite rumors of his atrocities, to become a Senior Special Adviser on Security to the governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano.

Despite pleas of many mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, wives, children and relatives to get justice for their loved ones who at some point time, were either killed, became deformed or left with damaged spinal cords, whenever they fell into his hands, James Nwafor walked a free man.

There were also allegations that many who walked into Awkuzu SARS under the leadership of Nwafor never came out alive. He was alleged to have killed scores, innocent or not, and disposed their bodies in the Ezu River located at the boundary between Anambra and Enugu State.

Several journals published by international rights organization, Amnesty International, describes Nwafor to have been very ruthless.

However, on Thursday, the #EndSARS protesters biesieged the government house in Awka, calling on Gov. Obiano to sack and prosecute the notorious former OC SARS.

The governor obliged to the demands of the people and directed that all those illegally detained in SARS centres across the state will be release, while Nwafor was immediately sacked and will be prosecuted.

“Today, I joined youths of our dear state to say #EndPoliceBrutality and I support them because they did not only vote and defend their votes in my 21-over-21 victory, but all their requests are genuine and germane; and I obliged to honour them all,” Obiano wrote on Twitter.

LCpl Victor Ojeamiran, a Nigerian Solider from 27 TF Bde, has committed Suicide at his Duty Post at HQ 27 TF Bde Buni Gari in Gujba LGA of Yobe State.

The deceased committed suicide with his personal weapon on the head which resulted to his death.

No fewer than 20 suspected rapists have been arrested by Bauchi State police command across the state within the last two months.
