[b]very funny topic!it will be funnier if i contribute.i will just advise that we shudnt limit our premises of argument to just one stat.it goes beyond that there are so many statistics that affirm the topic and there are some that deny it,all i know is that immediately after the colonial era till the seventies the yoruba were more educated but many of them end up in the public sector,the northerners took to defense sector(military) while the ibo pple out of both curiousity and the urge to be succesfull financially took to business.But that has change since the late 70s/early 80s,the ibos are master in everything they put their mind into while the yorubas are naturally egoistic,they believe they are the best that is why they wants to acquire education not as a means to make money but for self esteem and pride.in all the yorubas still remain the most educated tribe without putting their education into practice,they prefer working in the local government secretariat with their degree than exploring their talent in the turbulence world of business.[/b]

[b]baro,psquare,magic system and d'banj are the most popular out of all the nominees,going by voting in africa i will give it to psquare,in uk no doubt i will give it to d'banj but left to us in nigeria i think asa stand a very good chance.voting online is not part of our culture in nigeria award-wise,many factors attest to that meanwhile the highest number of voters in respect to best african act wud vote from uk meaning that d'banj,asa or psquare(goin by 9ja population in uk) stand a very good chance of winning the award.forget it baro! the award is coming to nigeria,the first edition was won by youssour ndour because 2face was young in the industry then,the second was won by batman samini because psquare were not that original in their music,the third was won by 2face and this fourth one going by the number of 9ja artists nominated,no doubt the award belong to us considering how we've invade and take over the music scene of the whole of africa in recent time.i just want all the nigerian acts representing us this year to have it in mind that nominating you for a CREDIBLE award like MOBO is a big deal,they shud just be united for the award to be in nigeria[/b]

Earlier this year the president of kora mr earnest adjovi signed an agreement with the cross river state government for the hosting of the award for the next five years.they held the media presentation of the award with 50cents in attendance at abuja earlier this year.two months ago they held the nomination party and the investitution of asiwaju bola hamed tinubu as the patron of the award succeeding the living legend nelson mandela.meanwhile mr adjovi had collected $2.5million from cross river as the financial obligation towards the hosting of the award.things tend to change after mr adjovi experience the [b]EKO 4 SHOW SYNDROME[/b]during the nomination party,he changed his mind and decided to host the award in lagos come december,he even went ahead to start negotiation with lagos state government who after the negotiation had formed kora award committee.the news right now is that cross river state govt. had went ahead legally to stop the dubious act of mr adjovi and the result presently is that the high court in calabar had restrained mr adjovi from hosting kora award outside calabar.mr adjovi reason for changing the venue is incapacity and inability on the part of the cross rivers govt.with the way things are going i'm not sure we may have the opportunity of r-kelly(billed to perform at the show in december)performing in nigeria due to irrational behaviour of the president.what do you guys think?
